Genie47 1st Gear January 22, 2005 Share January 22, 2005 (edited) A Naza is a Kia in disguise. I believe this is the Kia Carens or some Kia MPV. The guy that runs Naza is a Mahatir crony. Edited January 22, 2005 by Genie47

Genie47 1st Gear January 22, 2005 Share January 22, 2005 At the same time make Mahatir keep some money when the FTA removes the tarriffs on imported cars in Malaysia.
Potheader Clutched January 23, 2005 Share January 23, 2005 It looks like a Kia in so many ways! Esp the tailight.. looks like the Carens! Then the front, looks like some Kia SUV!
Mach Clutched January 23, 2005 Share January 23, 2005 It IS the Carens lah. I understand the older model Carens was CBU (ie, imported fully assembled). The NAZA is assembled in Malaysia from kits thus perhaps they want to give it a different name to differentiate it... like the Carnival is the Naza Ria.... Linus Clutched January 23, 2005 Share January 23, 2005 u are right. Naza used to be trading in used cars only but in the last few years, they are really doing it big time in cars. Its a joint-collabration with KIA motors. tts why cars like carens and carnival are marketed under NAZA motors name. CBUs in malaysia has been a long time thingy. Complete imported cars are really expensive in MY. CBUs are the way to do it. Look forward to VW building some cars with proton like the NAZAs in the near future too. Linus Clutched January 23, 2005 Share January 23, 2005 yup, CBU is the short for complete build-up units. in MY, in order to save some $$$ on taxes, the cars are imported into the country as parts and then assembled in MY.
Fitvip Supersonic January 23, 2005 Share January 23, 2005 It is Carens by another name, of course with slight facelift. Just like its big brother Naza Rio, which is so much a Carnival! And Naza Rio is so famous for its fc
Linus Clutched January 23, 2005 Share January 23, 2005 well.. i would say in MY, cheap car owning is the main selling point. FC, hmm... comes 2nd. ↡ Advertisement
