Hi Wee Kiong -

Thanks for sharing. I'm a new Q2 owner. Was under the impression the rear parking camera was not available.

How much did Audi charge? If not comfortable to share on the forum can you PM me? Many thanks

DS

Hi DS, after driving for a week i don't think it is necessary to have a rear parking camera. Yes, it is a definitely a good to have but i'm sure you can live without it. The money is better spent elsewhere. The rear reverse camera will set you back at least 1.2k based on A3 pricing. Try parking a few times and i'm sure you will park just fine :)

Was I tempted to get? Yes. Now? Not anymore.

Yes via Bluetooth. Connection is a breeze. Push down the tip switch to media on the central console Spotify will play. Just need to connect to Bluetooth once, the MMI will remember your phone. Phone can be placed anywhere. If I'm alone, it will be in the bag at the rear seats. Edited by stkq

Why can't simplfy to play directly from USB port? I need to compare with Infinity Q30 features now.

There is no usb to start with.

To be honest, I rather not having a USB port as device are going higher in their current requirements, which means if yours is a new device, the USB likely to charge it at a very slow rate.

USB drains car battery. I don't have the habit of charging HP in charge despite having a cigar socket. On do that during emergency when my phone is dying. Charging on power bank is way faster. Im not even using start stop to conserve battery life.

Personally, I feel Q30 head room quite low at the back. The car seats are very much lower compared to Q2. Q30 is more like a hatchback, in terms of rear leg space, Q30 wins.

Umm.. my ride has 1 usb port inside the center console (arm rest).

I can live without reverse cam. What annoys me most is that the car does not come with retracable side mirror and there's no aftermarket part available in the market.

Which model is yours? Can take a pic of the USB location?

The car battery will still die regardless. When you charge hp with the engine running it's not issue for the alternator to keep up. You might as well say not to switch on headlights to save the battery. It's the parking cameras which drain the battery without the alternator charging that will shorten its life.

Yes, battery will die regardless but there is no need to shorten it further. Alternator can only charge up to a limit, and charging capability is best under highway condition. Under city start and stop conditions, the more accessories hooked up to the car, the faster the battery goes dead.

i thought only overseas model has a USB under the arm rest together with a 3mm jack?

Anyone who owns this car, do you find that the default 16" rim is a bit small? Do you change the rim to 17 or even to 18"?

Nope.. I am here in Singapore..   [laugh]

For 1.4 TFSI, it comes with 17" rims. Still, I find them a little too small..

18" should be just right.

Does the new Audi Q2 1.0T model comes with VC and Adaptive Cruise Control? Or its an option which buyers need to top up if they want to have them?
