In Malaysia, Biante is RM$145K while M5 is Rm$153K. Pricing error?

Here, Biante cost $15K more than M5 even thought the OMV is only $1K more.

:a-confused:

Yes, the price is right.  that is why i said it is totally not worth to buy Biante in this high prices in Singapore..

Both our M5 and Biante is direct import from Japan. And in malaysia, the package include 2 more tv monitor for second roll   passengers.

It is same case that Toyota Singapore want to sales 105 K for Toyota Avanza and in malaysia you can get it RM$ 77K....

I chose M5 over the Biante as M5 looks more sporty. And I prefer M5's interior to the Biante. In my opinion, Biante is a little boxy and I don't really like the tail lights. Space is the only advantage point that I can think of. I am interested in the M8 but it is way above my budget.

My final decision is M5 and I'm enjoying every moment of driving it, till the extend of getting a ticket for overspeeding....HAIZ!!!!

cheers to all

I also just kena speeding ticket, was coming back from the zoo after the Safari Boo event around 10.45pm, didn't notice that there was a speed trap along Upp Thomson Road and the speed limit was only 70km/h, and I wasn't even travelling that fast, maybe 80-90, when I saw a flash in my rearview mirror...$130 fine plus 4 demerit points, sibei sianz!

I think Mazda needed to price the Biante between the M5 and M8, otherwise it would just cannibalize it's own MPV sales. What i don't understand is how the Biante can be cheaper than the M5, since it is bigger and newer. Maybe the M5 in Malaysia is using a bigger engine?

I wasn't aware of that as i see most of the new car come equipped with either HID or LED. I thought it was a matter or opting it inside the package with the AD or having it fitted at outside workshop if the AD do not provide the option.

I was just informed by my SE that my car will be ready for collection in 2 weeks time. May i know what other things have your done to your car after collection?

Yes, HID is illegal if done by anyone other than the AD, not sure about LED though.

I was travelling on the TPE heading towards PIE and was shot at after the Jalan Kayu exit. Speed captured at 114km/h and this is equal to $150 and 6 demerit points....really faint...

How do you know the speed captured? Did they include that in the notice?

that SE is being dishonest. He/she did not bother to explain what "14" means to you. You should disregard whatever he/she recommend.

Been driving for few days. Now showing 9.7l per 100km. Need to be light foot. 80% highway.

Fellow Mazda 5 owners, may I know what mapping software is the integrated GPS using? I read from the web that Pioneer headunit uses Papago with an external module attached to the headunit. Another question: is the SD card containing the maps and mapping software easily accessible so that you can update the maps yourself (e.g. MFM)?

Good question. Me also trying to figure out. So many buttons in the setup

Thinking of buying the cable iu-52 to connect as well. Not sure useful but supposedly to connect iPhone to touchscreen

Do you think we shd start off with whatsapp group? As i understand other Mazda owners like M6 they also have their own chatgroup.

Wah bro, 9l/km is super poor FC. It should be 9/ / 100km, which translates to 11.1 km/l.

It may be easier with a Facebook page as some people may not be comfortable to release their mobile phone numbers to strangers. Easier to manage with Facebook page also, especially if the group gets bigger and bigger.
