Understand for most BMW's above 5 years of age the gasket will tend to leak, so is there any other common problems or mechanical faults to really look out for judging that it's a 8 years old 320i. Advice needed, thanks.

Just prepare a thick wallet for reparation cost

Don't need buy 8 yrs old bmw, just buy a car that gives u problem free, no need Bring More Worries

It's single owner, mileage only 80k+ that's only 10000km+clock per year after calculating the depreciation, it's worth the bucks that's why I chose a car that would Bring More Women & Money [grin]

Advice still needed. thanks.

You can refer to the BMW SG forum, most of the common problems of the E90 were discussed in length there. E90 is a good car but parts can be expensive. How much you paid for it?

It depends on ex owner maintenance, not age and mileage.

I bought my 5yrs old E60 with 56k mileage now almost 110k at 9yrs mark. Car is problem free but minor wear and tear still got to do. My most expensive repair is $1.5k for the active steering rack. Others include air con compressor, alternator, brake disc/pads. Repair the fault and all is good, just have to take care of her and she'll serve you well Edited by Amazon777

Bro you should... My buddy an average Joe in his 40's driving a 7yrs old Nissan Sunny still waiting for his pretty beau to appear. He always said pretty beau will not bother about cars, just a car can move can impress. It's been a decade and he's still waiting..... Many babes did came and then go... [grin] Edited by Amazon777

before u buy, send into a BMW specialist workshop to get it thoroughly checked and they will advise you any problems with the car. in that way u can set aside budget for the potential repairs/replacements.

yes, fuel gaskets/ engine mounts generally needs to be changed by 5yrs time.
