These MT tyres - aren't these the ones used by SAF Land Rovers? If they are so good at mud, then that explains why it hardly got suck during army excerises in Area D!

 

I dont know abt SAF Land Rovers, only know abt RSN ships.

 

I dont know much abt SUV stuff lah. Just pick out the tips from here n there when SUVEC was giving the briefing. I dont drive a SUV so not into SUV.

MT tires are also very noisy, if not illegal. At least A/T or M+S tires help will some off-road situations in mud or sand.

 

I also noticed bull bars, I thought they are classified illegal by LTA in Singapore ?

 

The place we are at, MY, not illegal. Maybe they mount when enter MY n remove when coming back to SG???

Freelander is a nice vehicle. Should be reliable, so far no problems for my bro. But me no like, low end sluggish. Need to step hard, turbo kick-in, then woooohoooo. It is also thirsty on petrol.

 

 

If I am not wrong, the winner was driving a Mitsubishi Pajero. Cant confirm the model cos it is an older model but very sure it is a Mitsubishi. Very boxy n large size four door suv.

I must say, you guys did well man. Its not even easy to get to all the checkpoints, needless to say being 7th place.. !!

 

There're 4 official cars, 2 from SPH branding side and 2 for us. I was in the white 4-door Wrangler, my reporters, videographer and reporter was in the other Cherokee. Was there to guide them as its their first time covering this event.
