Odyssey or estima

I have driven to genting in a estima with 7 ppl inside and the power is still quite ok when going up the steep slope. Max speed is 170km/h with the load.

Normal pickup is abit lag and the sitting position is quite high although there is enough headroom. I have not driven ody before so I can't comment but I will choose estima coz i don't like the look of ody [laugh]

Actually currently im driving a 2007 Odyssey RB1,its quite a good ride and never lack of power, but now thinking of changing to estima or the new model RB 3 ody.

Ody's better to drive than Estima which is taller and don't like to be thrashed round corners (i had rental car years ago). Drivers would prefer Ody.

However, Estima''s height and power sliding doors pleases most passengers esp child-friendly. Passengers/users would prefer Estima.

What you choose is a reflection of the balance of power in your family, need i say more? [blush]

if you don't mind to pay more then get the oddy

anyway, i think estima is not bad because quite a number of people were driving ..

I thought Estnma should cost more then ody rite? correct me if im wrong.

estima has higher resale value, but i believe the ody is better to drive overall.

estima's drive is not as good as ody, it feels floaty unlike ody, ody drives more like a wagon/estate unlike estima which is like driving a van.

As a passenger, i will choose estima in terms of comfort, leg room, head room and such, even for the 3rd roll passengers.

As a driver, i will choose ody in terms of handling, road holding and all.

If most of the time >5 pax, go for estima, if not ody will be better

Neutral Newbie

Now COE sky high, alot of people have expanding families, so need to change to MPV! Most will hold their horses, wait for COE drop 20k then jump.

All in all, i would choose odyssey, Estima like driving van leh. [dead]

Same question I faced 3 years ago. Wife slammed the idea of Ody and only wanted Estima - the rest is fate.

Odyssey camp - better handling, road-holding/cornering, driving pleasure, sleeker/sportier, authorised dealership, EXV model has electric folding 3rd row seats

Estima camp - more space and comfort for passengers, powered sliding doors are useful in tight spaces, higher point of view when driving can be an advantage, more style and engine options (Aeras, 3.5L, Hybrid), 2nd row captain seat options, above & under-boot space (spare tyre in the middle of undercarriage)

Weigh your options wisely ..
