Saabest 2nd Gear February 1, 2009 Share February 1, 2009 Anyone can share with me where I can get on-car high speed wheel balancing done and at what cost? Preferably around Bukit Batok, Clementi or Bukit Panjang area? My steering tends to vibrate when driving at speeds above 100km/hr; I believe this would solve the problem. ↡ Advertisement

Solar Turbocharged February 1, 2009 Share February 1, 2009 if your rim/tyres are problematic, or your alignment is off in the first place, no amount of balancing will solve the vibration issue.. it helps to eliminate a possibility though
Try_conti 2nd Gear February 1, 2009 Share February 1, 2009 What was your last change before you encounter this problem ?
Saabest 2nd Gear February 1, 2009 Author Share February 1, 2009 sorry about the wrong folder. I rotate the tyres at 40,000km barely 2 weeks ago. The mileage now is 42,000km. I do not think alignment is teh cause of the wobbly steering as car did not drift left or right when crusing at high speeds. Thanks for all th einput anyway. Skxly Neutral Newbie February 1, 2009 Share February 1, 2009 Check your front tyres for any nail or stone stucked or foreign body. My old Sunny had such an experience but the tyre really gave way after going at high speed along the NSH. Safety first ... don't go at high speed until you find the root cause. Kyojin 1st Gear February 1, 2009 Share February 1, 2009 do both an alignment and wheel balancing. if both doesn't help, it could be a steering issue - ball joints, tie rods, etc do you feel the brake pedal pulsating when you do hard braking? if so, then could be a warped brake disc.
