    2022 Volvo XC60

I got 2022 XC60 B5, the facelift comes with Android entertainment system, I like the new system than the old one in my previous 2018 XC60, specially on the more practical navigation system - Google Maps. But there is a big downside - no road signs info for Singapore! No speed limit sign, no speed camera sign/warning, no school zone sign... Can't believe it is totally unavailable in the latest Volvo car model as it seems to be a basic feature in a car system nowadays. Is this Volvo or Google's problem?
  2. Baby XC90 with new safety features. http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2017/03/volvo-xc60-is-the-baby-xc90-you-ve-always-wanted.html?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Swedespeed.com_breaking&utm_source=Swedespeed.com20170307 http://www.swedespeed.com/news/new-volvo-xc60-will-help-steer-avoid-crashes/?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Swedespeed.com_breaking&utm_source=Swedespeed.com20170307
  3. If you drive a Volvo, you're paying top dollar for safety. The XC60 is the Volvo with the most safety features packed into it, making it the "safest car in the world." Then you have this XC60 Uncle who confronts another driver without wearing a mask. All that safety becomes moot. Here's the video that the dashcam driver uploaded on SG Road Vigilante (XC60 uncle comes out from the car at about 0.30) Salty dashcam driver It honestly looks like dashcam driver wasn't too pleased with XC60 Uncle making a U-turn even though XC60 had ample time and space to do so. Dashcam driver (clearly salty af) chases after the XC60 and cuts into its path dangerously at a traffic junction. He even removed the audio from the video so you can't hear him sound his horn or curse at the start of the video. Read the comments later. It backfires against him. What Covid-19 safety measures? Moving on to the angry XC60 Uncle. It’s understandable that when you’re angry, you do things out of impulse. However, the new Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) Act clearly states that The Straits Times Most Singaporeans are doing their part to bring the country back on its feet again. So please don’t be a CB during the CB, no matter how angry you are. Comments from netizens (even the Volvo Driver!) THE VOLVO DRIVER RESPONDED TO THE VIDEO! Eh, but seriously, should have worn a mask lah. It would be quite sway to get charged for a different offence from the original accusation. Good luck XC60 Uncle!
  4. Looking for an SUV that can do it all? Well you're in luck as we have a video review of the Volvo XC60 T8 Plug-in hybrid! We go through the clever, understated looks of the XC60... And Julian gives Jon quite the stern lecture on Volvo's electrification strategy haha! The XC60 has an excellent cabin design, but no points for guessing what Jon is displeased about with here! Jon also delivers some interesting ideas about the layout of the rear seats! The XC60 T8 is a well-rounded SUV that delivers plenty of power and the additional option to save on fuel by plugging into a charger! Curious? Learn more from our full video review here!

  8. The Volvo XC60 is one good alternative to take into consideration when it comes to buying an SUV. It's an exclusive crossover SUV that comes with city safety measures to guarantee your family's safety. However, it seems that the Volvo XC60 is not all about commuting. You can see that if you go to Zurich, Switzerland central station where the Swedish automaker has set up its art display. The locals recognise the art display as the Volvo Art Session and it has been around for the past few years. Here, Volvo has chosen highly talented artists, some of whom are skilled veterans while some others are newcomers, to present creative exhibits including a Volvo as the central point of the art. In this year alone, the Swedish automaker has chosen no less than six artists from across the European continent. This year, their task is to transform the Volvo XC60 into a creative work of art. It's unfortunate, though, I have to say, as the work of art won't last for long. This happens because the work of one artist will have to be erased so that the next artist can present his work and so on and so forth. Trying to be creative at one of the busiest places in Europe, some of the artists can't help but to make the Volvo XC60 a focal point in their creative art presentations. However, some others seem to be more creative - at least so I think - by making the car almost completely unnoticeable.
  9. My fren asked me over kopi which one will I buy? I thought for quite awhile and said Evoque. I chose Evoque purely for the look, but my fren is torn between Audi, BM and LR. More so for the image thingy, thats why he is in this dilemma. Any inputs?
  10. I am interested in buying a second hand one. But those on sgcarmart on relatively new and hence too expensive. Looking for something that is around 2 years old.
  11. Which is your favourite Conti compact SUV?Can Saab produce a class-leading SUV? My pick is the new X3.
  12. Hello, I have been thinking of changing my car. Wanted a SUV for a change. The extra space in the boot was a pull factor for me. So i test drove the XC60 yesterday. The 3.0 L version. Some review - Space wasnt fantastic behind. Can sit 3 comfortably but 4 might be difficult - Space infront was good - The torque was good. The car accelerated easily at the push of the pedal but there wasnt much after that when i continue to floor the pedal. - brake was so soft!!! i nearly couldn't break in time when i came to a junction. Not sure if the break is weak or its just due to the car's sheer momentum - The noise level was average - Gadgets (techs) was quite minimal i must say I have not driven much SUVs before. So i would like to know how does the XC60 fair in comparision with other SUVs? Please share your comments
  13. Ford's soon-to-be-China owned brand ,Volvo, is expanding its range of gasoline engines with the presentation of the all new 2.0 liter GTDi (Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection) that will initially find its way under the hood of the S80 sedan, V70 estate and XC60 compact SUV models. Even though Volvo did not mention anything about Ford, it is suspected that the new four-cylinder unit that combines turbocharging technology and direct injection with twin variable camshafts, is either the same engine or heavily based on Ford's new 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that will be used on several cars including the European Mondeo and Galaxy. Volvo said that the new 2.0 GTDi petrol engine produces an output of 203 horsepower and 300Nm of peak torque that is sustained from 1750 rpm all the way up to 4,000 rpm. The engine will be offered in combination with Volvo's automatic six-speed Powershift transmission or a six-speed manual gearbox. With this new engine and the six-speed manual gearbox, the S80 sedan accelerates from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in 7.9 seconds while returning a combined fuel consumption of 7.9 lt /100km. The performance figures of this new engine in other applications are shown in the table below: The new 2.0 GTDi engine is being launched initially on markets that offer tax incentives for engines below two liters in displacement including South-East Asia, the Netherlands, China and Japan. Introduction in other countries/regions will follow later in the year. With this new engine, the S80 will be a worthy competitor to the Benz E200 CGI, BMW 520i. If I have the dough, I would pick the S80 over the 2 continental stalwarts as it is less commonly found on the Singapore road!

    Volvo XC60!!!

In advance of its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in early March, details have been released about the new Volvo XC60 crossover vehicle. We first heard about the Volvo XC60 in the buildup to its release as a concept vehicle at the NAIAS in January '07, when it was expected to have an optional 3.0-liter flex-fuel engine choice. This choice, which would have cut emissions by 80% does not appear to be in the cards for the first two years of the vehicle's production. Buyers will be able to choose between three engines, including the turbocharged T6, which cranks out 281 horsepower. Other options include two different D5 turbodiesels, rated at 163 and 185 horsepower. The 163 hp 2.4-liter diesel is the only Euro5 compliant of the three. Production of the compact premium SUV includes "intelligent safety systems" like City Safety, meant to assist the driver in avoiding low-speed impacts. The car automatically brakes if the driver does not react when closing in on a vehicle, at the very least reducing the effect of impact. This feature comes standard on the XC60, something Volvo claims is a first. As a concept, the XC60 was meant to blaze a trail for future Volvos, with a bolder grille, a large logo badge, split tailgate, and a more noticeable rear. Volvo design director Steve Mattin clearly had this distinctiveness in mind, saying, "If you can recognise a Volvo from 50 metres today, I want to get to the point where people will be able to spot one from twice the distance in the future." Now, over a year later, Mattin is still singing the same song.
