OK, I decided to go looking for one. I went to some local hardware stores. They do stock the Taiwan ones but many of them keep telling me not to get them. The calibrations look very dubious because there is no certificate. All the hardware shop uncles say if you are serious and want insurance from proper calibration, don't get Taiwan ones. What they recommend? Over the top in price ones like Britool or Armstrong. For a simple one that has a range from 6Nm to 33Nm is $165 for a Britool. The Armstrong one is worse and I will not mention anymore for fear of having your jaws drop onto your keyboard. So what about eBay? US ones are good. I've been spying on eBay and the DIY torque wrenches for simple jobs like oil sump drain plug to spark plugs with 3/8" drive can be bought at USD5-16 lowest but the shipping even within continental USA is around USD15 making the total cost around USD60. So you can imagine the shipping from the US to here. Most are manufactured in the US and have calibration certificates to meet Federal standards. All-in-all, if you get one from eBay, they should cost less than a Britool that is sold locally. But of course, nothing beats the shear joy of owning a Britool or an Armstrong.

Dear all car enthusiasts, I've stumbled upon a supplier for a remote-controlled operated Car Jack and Torque wrench. Saw it at Li hong auto today and the boss Ah Ho referred me to the supplier for bulk buys. So far, I've had a few orders already from fellow trackie friends so I guess its a track essential as well as a salvation for flat tires. For more info you can check out the You-tube Video at Or www.dyauto.blogspot.com From what I understand, the RRP is $189, I've contacted the supplier and after much negotiations, they could lower the price considerably if we have a substantial enough group buy. So far it goes like this : For 5 orders , the price is $178 For 10 , $168 , For 30 and above , $159 PM me if you are interested. i've posted this lobang on other car forums too to find if anyone's keen Lets start the ball rolling.... 1. Besides Stamford, which other workshops use torque wrench? Looking for a workshop to do tyre rotation and installation of rotors and pads...

As said above. Would like one in lbs-ft with adjacent metric Nm scale. Preferably something that you can select torque then will click when the torque is reached. Setting between 5-25Nm.

Hi all, was wondering whether any bros know of a good place to buy spark plug wrenches? Tried autobacs and Stamford tyres, but those wrenches they sell are the std, twist type, virtually useless as they don't deliver enough torque. What I am looking for is for those tyre of wrenches that the mechanics use, long extension with a torque wrench and of course the all important socket head. Any place to recommend to check out for this?

Hi all, I want to get a suitable spark plug wrench for my Lancer GDI 1.5. I tried going to VIN Mart as well as Autobacs, but could not find one that can fit. The head always seems too big to fit into the spark plug cavity, even thought the internal head thread may be just right. Any suggestions?
