Folks, Keep on seeing the Black Garlic advertisements on TV and shopping malls. Is it really that good for health as claimed? Has anyone really benefited from this product (e.g. lower blood pressure, cholesterol), is black garlic really that different from normal garlic? Price difference is huge.

Good afternoon peeps, Meant to start the ball rolling but well, I just reached my 25th post quota so here goes. I'm sure many of you have a past that you rather your parents did not know, or your partner would never find out? *giggle*. I mentioned in my earlier posts that I used to frequent Sparks, Vogue and for a short while, Canto, before it was forced to close. Lots of sweet memories right there. Anyone care to share their teenaged "unglam" adventures? Let me break the ice. I was pretty much the ah lian wannabe back then, thanks to strict parents. I would spin stories like I have a class chalet going on and would not be home for the night (Sat). Then, a phone call to my fellow lian friend sealed my lodging for the night - bunking up at her place. I met my first serious bf there. He was - a beng..duh... but a very gentlemanly one *giggles*. There're many hilarious moments, sweet and bitter recollections ~ and so forth. Once this rival groupie couldn't stand the sight of me because they accused me of snatching their boys. Fact is, it was unrequitted love and because I was a little Eurasian looking and taller than my peers, these women insisted that I was being wanton, which lead to a fist fight. I didn't comply and they sort of forced me.... I remembered the fight ended up with me rolling down the steep hill some distance away from Canto. apparently, this is kinda trend.. because when I shared this story with fellow Uni mates some time later, they (the naughtier ones) said it was common a sight to see people fighting at that spot and gals rolling down the hills *giggles* this thread is dedicated to all the MCMs, Versaces, Sonia Rykiels, Ferragamo Belts, High waisted haute couture and the likes... come forth please... especially the guy who said you were once a beng *giggle* Hear from you all peeps I'm rushing for an ATL campaign now, so if my replies are few and far between, please forgive me.

Seems that as I earn more compared to the early years when I just graduated, Singapore does seem to be a wonderful to live and spend $. Want variety? Just take a plane and you have Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Thailand as your playground. Experience whatever Singapore cannot offer by just spending a couple of hundreds for a ticket.......temporary enjoyment only though. Am beginning to realise why foreigners come here. May not agree with all the policies and censorship etc etc but as long as the moolah continues to flow, I will call Singapore home. When moolah no longer flows, it may be Sayonara to Singapura. Itz a fair deal after all.

Caught the movie "Departures" (Okuribito) yesterday afternoon. One word...superb. And that from a movie which is essentially about death. Funny how death can teach us so smuch about life. The movie fully deserves the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar it just received. Japanese movie fans can catch the ever stoic Tsutomu Yamazaki in his role as the 'Jedi Master' to Masahiro Motoki's musician turned apprentice mortician. Ryoko Hirosue is luminescent as Mika, the supportive wife with unspoken fears, and Kimiko Yo rounds up the cast as the longsuffering secretary with secrets of her own. And the music! The subdued yet powerful score by Joe Hisaishi is a joy in itself, and works wonderfully to complement the movie's pace and mood. Try to go on a weekday, without too many philistine teenagers and NS boys just looking for some entertainment. But should you meet some as I did, they will not help being drawn into its narrative. The chatter around me quickly went silent as the theme of the movie, and its treatment of death and closure slowly but surely dawned on us. I think there was nary a dry eye in the theatre as the credits rolled. Watch it before it closes for lack of popularity, as is the wont of arthouse fare in Singapore. IMDB entry.

I park my car for 2 days at level 1, MSCP at blk 154A Jln Teck Whye. Today when I went to my baby car, I saw something terrible happen. I saw dirts all over from my front fencing to my bonnet to my windscreen! The dirt can be clean off so I do not bother much. But what pisses me off were my left side of the bonnet filled with the stupid cat claw. I do not think it's those light hairline scratches. It is quite deep as I use my finger to feel the difference. Next, as the damn cat might be attempt to climb on my bonnet but it kinda slipped off hence use the wonderful claw to push itself forward. For that motion, it scratch the bonnet abt 1cm. But this 1cm occur: deep cut which caused the paint to drop off and I can see the base of the car metal!!! Is there anything which I can use to cover that scratched mark which might cause corrosion due to water and sunlight. Enzio and to the rest who park the car at 158A, beware of the cat in white and grey color. This bugger love to lie on car, so do not park at level 1.
