Has anyone else try reseting the DSG shift points following the procedure mentioned here ? http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51206 -------------- 1 Put your key in the ignition and turn ignition to the on position (don't start the engine!) 2 Hold down the gas pedal pressing the button under the pedal for at least 20 seconds. 3 Let foot off pedal and start car. Be sure that you do no turn ignition off because that will void the reset (not so sure it still works) --------------- I am doing it once in a while and it seems to work. The DSG after the reset will not shift so quickly and eliminates the juddering from D2-D3.

Is there any rumors going on that without turning on your headlight ur car can gain extra few horse? Had notice since months ago that more and more often I would see cars traveling without any headlight at nite. Almost once every every few night will spotted one. Last night when traveling on TPE, I was on the 2nd lane going at abt 100. approaching a car, I signal right, check clear, move out. half way out, suddenly, a high beam flash past my rear mirror, realising it is so near, I immediately cut back into my lane. was a black car without any headlight on. The car itself is black in color. So dark that I cant figure much the model of the car, except it look like a vios or similar size sedan. turning out x'press way heading to home, see another car without headlight, except this time it is a white CRV. Think going to try tonight see if don turn on headlight, will my car go faster!

Hello all, My previous company has a gym for staff. In my present company, no such facility is available. Other than driving to SAFRA after work, I wonder if anyone here can recommend me a website or exercise routines that doesn't require a gym. My objective is to cut down flab around my abs. And I also keep my arms and legs muscles built up. Thnks.

Riding without a license can get you into serious trouble
chitchatboy posted a blog entry in MyAutoBlog
Even if you are in a hurry, this is not the way to ride. Spotted going around group chats in Whatapp, a video of a biker who tried to overtake and crashed has gone viral recently. The accident which happened on TPE near IKEA Tampines, in the direction of Pasir Ris, was captured by the camera car on 27 Jun 2020. In the video we can see this biker who apparently had no bike license or insurance crashing badly while he tried to overtake the camera car which was changing lanes. Check out how far his bike went ahead of the camera car after the collision! According to Sg Road Vigilante, the rider was later arrested. Thankfully, the rider escaped death and we hope the authorities deal with him properly for hurting the road divider that he crashed into. Check out what netizens have to say about this crash! -
When parking the car, is it ok to leave the auto transmission in P mode while not using hand brake or parking brake? Will this damage the transmission, even when not parking on a slope or incline?

Hi Need advice on the following. Wanted to go to Msia via 2nd link today. Very bad jam from Tuas to Msia checkpoint. Was in jam from. 11-215pm. My young kids were screaming and crying as they were restless and hungry. I made a U turn back to Spore after clearing Msia outgoing immigration without a stamp chop at incoming Msia immigration. There was a U turn sign showing "Singapura." Was that signage for the purposes of making a turn back to Spore? I managed to clear ICA immigration. Any issues since my records at Msia would show that I'm still in Msia but in actual fact I'm in Spore? If there are issues what shd I do?

I know it has been mentioned briefly a few times. But is there any AD who allows that? what about PI? since PI are so competitive, i reckon they'll allow us to use our own COE?

Hi guys, I got an unfortunate news this morning as my friend was caught by an undercover cops this morning. Worse thing is she just completed her sentence after her licensed got revoked for one year due to drink driving. She is in the mid re-taking her driving license and in fact she already passed her basic theory in May. What do you think what will be penalty or chargers to her?

There are many grouse that FT are taking over our safe country. That they benefit from our NS stint which provided a safe and clean island for them to enjoy and suck us dry and as a stepping stone to USA/Canada/etc. IF there was no NS and reservist for local males to waste 2 years of our life... The question is.... Will we rhen be more 'open arms' to accept the FT to be part of Singapore? My own answer would be, Yes I will accept all FT if there is no NS for me and my children. How about you?

MY to propose New Detention Without Trial again ...... Too much crimes and shooting cases recently ..... Yahoo news: Malaysian government proposes new detention without trial powers KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Malaysia's government proposed an amendment to crime laws on Wednesday that would give authorities the power to hold suspects for years without trial, in what critics said was a lurch back to draconian security policies that were only recently eased. The government is justifying the proposed toughening of security laws as necessary to curb a rise in violent crime in recent months, including the murder of a prominent former banker in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, that has alarmed the public. But the move to amend the 1959 Prevention of Crime Act has political resonance in a country where tough security laws have been used in the past to detain opposition figures and government critics and following an election in May that deepened ethnic and political divisions. Prime Minister Najib Razak has moved to appease conservative factions in the ruling United Malays National Organization (UMNO) in recent weeks, signalling that the weak election victory has blunted his ability to push liberal reforms. Teo Nie Ching, an opposition member of parliament, said the new proposal appeared to be a "fundamental breach of human rights". "It seems we are going back to the time of the ISA (Internal Security Act) even though it is called prevention of crime," she told Reuters. The ISA, which allowed for indefinite detention, was among several tough security laws repealed by Najib in 2011. Under the amendment, a Prevention of Crime Board made up of three members and headed by a judge will be able to issue a detention order for two years, which could be renewed for two years indefinitely, according to a copy of the bill seen by Reuters. The detention could be ordered if the board is satisfied that it is "in the interest of public order, public security or prevention of crime", the draft bill says. more news, link: http://sg.news.yahoo.com/malaysian-governm...-073545511.html

Hi all I was on a main road 4 lane and speed 60 to 70 km. Along this road there are various left turns to their respective condos. I was trailing behind this white Audi and he did not signal and jam brake at his speed of 70km then turned to his condo. Am I supposed to stop and anticipate cars turning left in front of me for every turn and every condo property? Good thing I was alert and also jam brake in time. But signalling is very impt especially you are High speed no one expect you to turn left Any feedback guys

I hear people talking about why the government shouldn't make car ownership so expensive in Singapore. I think we should really calm down and think of the situation from a macro point of view, as a nation and how it will impact our nation as a whole if car ownership was made affordable to the masses. Keep in mind that land is scarce in Singapore. 1. Government's fault for implementing COE and ERP. 2. Citizens angry. 3. COE and ERP scrapped. 4. Citizens happy. Rush to buy cars. 5. Roads are jammed up most of the time. It takes 30min to drive from AMK to Bishan. 6. Carparks are perpetually full and it takes 1hr to find a parking lot at the MSCP. 7. Government's fault for not building enough roads and carparks. 8. Citizens angry. 9. Government discards property, retail, industrial, commercial plans to make way for more roads and carparks. 10. Traffic conditions are eased and parking is a breeze. 11. Insufficient HDB flats in the market due to budget and land catered for roads and carparks. 12. Citizens are angry because they cannot find a flat and property prices rocket up due to high demand low supply. 13. Singapore economy takes a plunge because retail, industrial, commercial plans were shelved. 14. Companies start to retrench and cut salaries. Young singaporeans are jobless. 15. Government's fault AGAIN. 16. Citizens angry. 17. And it goes on and on.... So instead of thinking about immediate personal gains, why not think for our nation as a whole? Think at a macro level. Think for our future generations. Our selfish actions and demands now may lead to dire consequences for our future generations. I'm not saying all the existing policies are the best and there's no room left for improvement. But remember that while it's easy to criticize, it's tough to come out with better solutions and results. Afterall, talk is cheap.

for example if one was to have his car polished and the grooming center takes a photo of the owner's car and post it on their website, advertising their products or services, without the owner's consent, despite masking out the number plate, is that legal? anyone encountered this issue before? care to share...

Was at Woodlands Ave 1 last night when I came behind this black Picanto that had just started to move off after stopping by the side of the road... Both of our cars were turning left to ave 2 but this car was really crawling...when we reached the junction of ave 1 and 2, the car didn't turn but stayed still even though there wasn't any direct oncoming cars...I thought to myself...must be old man, girl or ah quah driving...then when it decided to move off, it stalled! The car started...then stalled...again! Wah, I sibei pu hui liao...nabei...must really be chao ah quah driving... When we eventually made our turn, I overtook the car and looked at the driver...Far from being an ah quah, it was a chao ah beng...and a young one at that...too young to have a driving license...no wonder the bloody car stalled twice...that CB kia prob didn't have a license (he cannot be a probation driver cos the car got no triangle sign)... WTF! I think there's a lot of these si gin na who drive without a license...hope they don't f*king kill anyone on the roads man...bloody CB....
