Anyone here still wax their car to give additional shine even though paint protection coating has been done? Will the wax damage the coating? Any suggestions of any mobile car clean and waxing service if I don't have the energy and time to DIY? Thanks!

Hi guys May I check how long after receiving a new car, should I do up polishing/waxing/sealant etc....? Should I wait a few months and enjoy the stock condition first, or straight away protect the car? Any recommended shops for these items? And any other items I should be looking out for to look after the exterior and interior? All comments welcome! Thanks!

Hi, I'm expecting a new car in a few weeks and am planning to put a few layers of sealant at the very start. I have been using Autoglym SRP and Extra Gloss Protection for my current ride. My question is this: If the car is new, should I still use polish (SRP) before I apply the first layer of hard wax (Extra Gloss Protection)?

Hi, Anyone know where to get the Mother pure Brazilian carnauba wax paste? I used this many year ago from ACE (a hardware shop in Novina)which already closed down. Or anyone can recommend me another similar carnauba wax paste. I prefer the pure wax type not the cleaner wax. Thanks.

Dear detailers, After I wash and wax the car and drive back home (no MSCP in my area), it attracts a layer of dirt almost immediately. Should I wash the car and wax it at night instead?

Hi all, Have got my ride for approximately 2 weeks now. As recommended by my agent and bros/sis that new car only requires waxing, I was wondering what you guys would recommend. I'm going to leave it open minded for now in terms of brand etc and the pros and cons, how long it last, steps required and more... So need you guys to fill me in a little. The only sad part is I don't have much time on hands usually but am still trying to put the effort in maintaining the outlook of my car. Million thanks in advance.

Do u apply wax in circular motion or parallel back and fro motion? i read my wax instruction it stated to swirl the wax w sponge, some youtube videos also demo using circular motion. however, some websites also stated to apply wax in back and fro parallel direction... which is correct?

Dear friend, my black latio is coming to 10 months but it has already kena scratches etc. very heartache when I see it. Was wondering if any of the bros out there know of any polishing &/or waxing companies that will be able to do something about it? 1. Bought a Black car and attempted my 1st waxing session with turtle wax. After today experience, the shine is really amusing but this is probably my last time doing this. The process is just too time consuming, best to leave it to the professional or PPS. 2. Wanted to find out after waxing, how do you gurus maintain the shine? The turtle wax label mentioned that the wax can last 12 months! I seriously doubt so in our tropical climate. Do you just use damp cloth to wipe off the dust and dirt after waxing. Oh ya, the rain is the greatest enemy of black car . Thank you very much. Regards,

A friend of mine recently got his mit Lancer. He sent the car for 1000km servicing to C&C srvice centre. The staff advise him to go for $95/- polishing & waxing saying that waxing is to protect the paint works and it is better to do early rather than later. Any sense to this ?

hi shifu here, this is my first post in detailing folder, hope you guys dun find it a stupid qns. here it goes Did a detailing session last week before gg to JB last weekend, 1) Wash 2) Claybaring 3) Klasse AIO 4) Klasse SG 5) Sonax Wax after 24 hours curing by SG Now that i am into the first week for maintaining the shine. Am thinking of using FK425 to regain the shine and apply another layer of sonax wax on top of that. Alternatively use Klasse SG to layer another round -> FK425 -> Sonax wax? Thanks
