  1. I read over at the Amazon thread and thought this should be for discussion here. This is in view of the things we are buying from US via Amazon that uses 110V Voltage. The Wattage is also the key consideration here, on how many WATT step down transformers to use. REad as a guide that one should get 3x the rated power on the device. That is, if the device is 250W, get at least 750W for buffer. I am wondering if this rule of thumb is valid. REason I ask is I just shipped a laser printer and the Wattage is 250W, thus, this is my concern. Any other related issues, please post here for the general public
  2. I like to find out if we can mix light bulb like 55W(left) .... 100w(Right) I got the stepup relay install by the way.
  3. Hi, my existing headlight bulbs is rated 12V 65/60W. the closest rating i can find at the stores in 12V 60/55W. would it be better to get 12V 70/65W(brighter) or 12V 60/55W(lower brightness) in this case? I dun wanna risk blowing the wires... Thanks in advance.
  4. Need some understanding. Firstly, supposingly I'm getting a 4 x 200W rms 4ch Amplifier (Model Lazar Vibe 435) and I intend to connect to my front speakers only. What is the ideal wattage for the front speaker to buy? E.g will a 2 x 100W rms speaker enough for a 2 x 200W rms Amp power? Or it must be exactly 2 x 200W rms for the speakers? Are brands critical? Secondly, are crossovers and tweeters neccessary for the speakers? I intend to get a pair of secondhand CDT HD62 speaker set but seems that it only comes with the speakers alone, and one of the speaker came in contact with water probably at the "paper" part. Will it affect the quality? How good is this range of speakers. If really neccessary, can I get the crossovers and tweeters separately? Must be the same brand? Thirdly, I notice a variety of head units comes with a 4 x 50W or 60W. Will this lower wattage somehow affect the amplifiers which normally has a higher wattage? I'm rather puzzled cause very new with I.C.E. Hope to learn something from here. My guess is the wattage from the HU is generated to the amplifier with higher wattage, than from amp to the supposing equal wattage of the speakers, making the sound stronger. In other word, amplified. please correct me if I'm wrong. Finally, since I'm getting the items separately, where can I go to get them installed? Did heard some place not willing to do instalations alone cause not making money. But are there any good shops that are willing to? Any way I can D.I.Y? I know it's rather long story, just trying to understand as much as possible in a single post. Thanks for the helps out there Bros!
