  1. I got this video footage from a relative who went to China on a tour recently. This was a visit to the Jiu Zhai Gou national park. China has 1.3bn people and their internal tourism will be enough to generate so much economic activity. See 1:17 for the crowds! The waterfall was pretty neat. Not the majestic type, but because it wasn't too big, you could go near to it. In Part 3, they took a coach to another part of the park and had to go uphill. They came to a place called Fairy Lake. Happy viewing!
  2. As part of a cruise ship stop in June 2014, we were in Reykjavik, Iceland for a day. We decided to rent a car and self-drive the Golden Circle route. Although we didn't have too much time, we managed to see Thingvellir (briefly), Gullfoss Waterfalls (the highlight!) and Geysir/Strokkur. From a car point of view, a nice surprise was that the car company gave us a Volvo XC90 to drive! Cool stuff. Prior to this, I had never driven a Volvo before, let alone their flagship SUV. Back home, I drive a Corolla, so obviously this was going to be fun! As expected, the car performed very well. It was quite new, about 35,000km on the odometer. It was a diesel! How would I describe the car? It was an automatic transmission. The engine was definitely very responsive and I could overtake very easily. The car felt very stable. In terms of drive, it was smooth and comfortable, unlike say the Honda (or subsequently the BMW which I would get to drive later this trip). I am not the 'must-feel-the-road' type of person so I like the Volvo feel over the BMW feel. 3. Hi all. OK seems like the Kuantan trip has to b KIV so we now planning a short 2D1n trip to Desaru and/or KT waterfalls. KT hotels quite cheap & can stay there 1 night to chill out. Seems like a nice short drive up but thinking of going the weekend b4 or after the Nat day holiday to avoid the crowds & massive jams. Anybody interested & want to go. Or maybe suggest different dates? We can go on fri early & back sat evening or maybe weekdays sud b much better. Main intention is to chill & enjoy a nice drive with cheap & good food.
