  3. Hey guys, i'm looking for a photographer to take photos for a family outing. Anyone to recommend? Preferable not too ex.
  4. Hi everyone, Am currently in the process of looking for a first used car. Of the cars that I have viewed (mostly sourced on SGCM), I have had one sent for AA testing and pre-purchase evaluation. As I have relatively limited knowledge of car mechanics and repairs, would like to appeal for help and feedback regarding the report. Model: Audi A4 1.8T FSI MU S-LINE Registration: May 2009 Mileage: 120,000+ Previous owners: 1 Dealer claims - no major accidents, stock colour, servicing already done before initial viewing No declarations with regards to major servicing/repairs required beforehand Am looking for opinions on whether this vehicle appears roadworthy/worth purchasing (+/- negotiations or additional servicing) based on the report, or if there are any major red flags etc. Thanks in advance. Any constructive comments or suggestions would also be very much appreciated!
  5. taken from http://sgforums.com/forums/8/topics/420474 Nordian Cuaca is a 45 year old man who has been escaping Interpol and has been living in Singapore! How could this be? I always thought that the Singapore Government has been taking a tough stance against criminals! But it seems that Cuaca has been living in the Singaporean Haven for the past ten years! Apparently, he has been able to settle down here, setup a company, own two Sentosa Coves properties, starts a family and even owns a Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini in Singapore! I always believe that the Singapore Government has strict immigration laws to prevent criminal from entering, let alone settling down here. How was it possible that he could slip past detection then? In this age of Terrorism, could this mean that Terrorists could also possibly slip past detection and conduct their activities here? As a citizen, I am worried if not terrified at this lapse of national security. But for one thing I
  6. Could not find any thread on this so here goes. 1) Like I find the forum more civil and rational as compared to some other forums . The moderators do their jobs well and the forumers are well, to a large extent, more sensible, for want of better word. 2) Always wanted to know - Are the forummers here very rich? Just curious cos it seems like we have many millionaires here BUT my burning question is - Do forummers here know each other? I hear everyone teasing Porker but is Porker a guy, gal, animal.... or do some of you know this person in real life? Is RadX really an undertaker or is this a long time joke? Anyone met RadX in real life? Dun flame me. Just curious.
  7. hi everyone, As my original bumpers(front and back) are deteriorating, I'm considering getting a brand new set(front, rear, skirts) to replace them. I'm considering getting a complete bodykit too, if the price isn't that far different(+500-600). Any good lobangs for a good bodykit shop that will do the painting too? Thanks!

  10. OK, here's the story, on new year's day I saw a road rage (I believe) incident on the way home. Retrieved the video from my camera and sent it to the TP (another thing, they could not view the video I sent through email so I burnt it to a DVD and mailed it to them instead) Now the officer in charge is directed by the prosecutor to take my statement, so I'm guessing that they are going ahead with the charge. Any advice on going down to TP HQ and giving my statement?
  11. JSSL Arsenal Soccer School is looking for a part time administrator to work on weekends. 1) only open to females (as all the other admin staff are females) 2) only open to Singaporeans (dont want to give this lobang to FT) 3) able to commit on saturdays and sundays (8am-7pm) 4) outdoor working environment (NOT an office job) 5) basic admin work, but most of the time handling customers (parents of the kids) or potential customers 6) fluent in english, friendly, sporty, efficient, good with handling customers 7) Working venues include UWC East, Victoria Junior College, Tanglin Trust School, and the Floating Platform. 8 ) $10/hour A perfect part time job especially for students, who wish to earn a decent pay, and yet not interfere with their studies. However, I must say that your weekends will definitely be "burnt", due to work from 8am to 7pm. So I think it will be better if you have some sort of a passion for soccer, so at least you will enjoy what you are doing every weekend. For "unofficial" enquiries, for example, questions like "why is it only on weekends?", or "can males apply?", sms me at 97823647. For official enquires, contact Rina (Head Admin) at 63485780, or email [email protected]

  14. Hurry up. Good chance for the bros to contribute your ideas. [email protected] ----- Jun 8, 2011 Wanted: More views on ministers' pay Committee gets down to work, calls for more suggestions by June 20 By Amresh Gunasingham Chairman of the ministerial salary review committee Gerard Ee called for more ideas from the public. -- ST PHOTO: WANG HUI FEN THE committee set up to review ministerial salaries met for the first time on Saturday to consider a slew of suggestions for a new formula - and yesterday called for more ideas. Chairman Gerard Ee promised that the eight-member committee, set up by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on May 21, will 'consider every one of them for their suitability and appropriateness'. Mr Ee asked that additional views be sent by June 20 via e-mail or normal mail. 'While the Prime Minister has not given us a timeline to deliver on our recommendations, we do want to get down to work as soon as possible, hence the deadline for sharing your ideas,' he said in a statement last night. 'You have our assurance that we will consider all inputs. We would appreciate it if contributors not flame, even though we fully understand the need to vent.' Mr Ee said committee members had been 'poring over the sea of suggestions' they had received personally or which had been forwarded to them by others. Read the full story in Wednesday's edition of The Straits Times. The public can e-mail suggestions to [email protected] or they can write to Mr Ee at P.O. Box 539, Singapore 910504.

  23. A Hong Kong filmmaker aims to lure audiences back to the cinema with what he says is the world's first 3D erotic movie, a newspaper reported Sunday. Mr Stephen Shiu Jnr, chairman of One Dollar Production, said he would use special effects to make the love scenes in his HK$30 million (S$5.8 million) 3D Sex and Zen as realistic as possible. 'The 3D erotica will probably be the world's first,' he told the Sunday Morning Post. 'Just imagine that you'll be watching it as if you were sitting beside the bed.' The film is based loosely on the 17th century Chinese erotic classic The Carnal Prayer Mat, a tale about how overindulgence in pleasure can lead to tragedy. Mr Shiu told the newspaper that about 25 to 30 per cent of the movie would be love scenes, including many close-ups. He said the actresses would appear to be only a few centimentres from the viewers, who would have to wear special glasses to enjoy the 3D effects. The producer said he was planning to use adult video actresses from Japan and Taiwan. But he admitted having difficulties in finding the male lead. 'We're having trouble finding a male lead who is willing to undress in front of the camera. It's a lot more difficult to find an actor than an actress for this kind of movie.' Shooting will begin in April and it is expected to be released in time for Christmas, the report said. Hong Kong has seen the closure of many cinemas in recent years as traditional movie-goers switch to watching films on DVD at home. -- AFP
  24. From TNP, 7/10/2008 a summary of points - A driver, described by witness as a young man with dyed blonde hair and two full-sleeve tattoos, was involved in a hit-and-run accident on a early Wednesday morning at 6am Singapore at the junction of Lorong 17 Geyland and Geyland Road. The victim, a 65-year-old Mr. Patlol after attending a prayer session was on the way for breakfast. He was crossing the road when a car turning in from Geyland Road rammed into him. The victim flew several metres and the car went past him before skidding to a stop. In a state of shock, the victim struggled to his feet when the driver attempted to reverse back into Geyland Road. The car allegedly hit the victim and ran over him. The victim was pinned beneath the car with the front tyre on his head and left collarbone. By then people from the coffeeshop rallied to help, it took 8 people to lift the car off the victim. During this time, the driver and the companion allegedly slipped away leaving the car behind. The family however was told by the police that the driver then was not the registered owner. The driver and the companion are still at large. The victim's family is appealing for witnesses. Please look out for a young man with dyed blonde hair and two full-sleeve tattoos. He would probably have dyed his hair and/or covered his arms.
  25. From thread http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/SBW474X_VT...349102/#2349102 Just helping a newbie post his question Xbaobei asked. Recently i have signed a contract to buy a honda, and i will be trading in my car, and the price they offered for the trade in is lower than the deregistration amount, which i understand from my friend, it shouldnt be. Contract has already been signed. Few days later, i was flipping through the paper, and saw that there is any dealer who is offering a much lower price, and i contacted them, and the trade in my price for my current car was much more higher. I intend to cancel my contract with the first dealer which i signed, but they are charging me a penalty for that. Loan was not disperse to them yet, and they dont allow me to cancel it. They are saying that either i pay the penalty of 5k or its a court case. What you guys think i should do? Should i pay? The loan interest that the first dealer has secure for me is so much higher than the second dealer. Therefore i has decided to purchase my car from the second dealer. but what should i do? fight laywer case? or just bit my mouth and pay them the 5k? Pls give me your advise, i am at my end... dunno what to do anymore.
