  1. Do you think there are unethical used car dealers who swap car parts out of trade-in cars that are very new? then resell the cars which then will have problems and recommend their workshop for repair.
  2. Never forget this tyre shop... My car had a punctured tyre 2 weeks ago when i was driving along Balestier road. I know of this tyre shop that operates till wee hours, and since i was nearby so i drove my car slowly to this shop. Walked into the shop, saw 3 men smoking and drinking, i asked them politely if they can help to mend the punctured tyre. One of the guys, think is the boss, replied that they were already off-duty, and their air-pump also ran out or air!! I was totally shocked and appalled!! What a ridiculous reasons!! This shop is well-known for open till late hours, and it was only 12.45am when this happened. Didn't understand why they reject their customers this way, maybe business too good so didn't give a damn about mending a punctured tyre. Believe in karma, one day who knows these guys might need help too...
  3. A recent topic prompted this thought into my head. What do you bros think of unethical workshops (eg. those that overinflate claims etc. etc.) i know alot of people will say "why so stupid kenna carrot" or "why you never go read up do research"
  4. - Jack up prices before declaring storewide sale so that sale price = regular market price - Claim you are almost about to win a prize when your actual chances are still 1 in a million - Sell freebies as regular items - Leave out GST when quoting prices - Don't have stock, say have stock then make you wait long long Anymore examples to discuss?
  5. A good fren of mine is an agent and we had a short chat recently. I thought he was closing lots of transactions as the property market has been good the last 4 to 5 months. He told me the market for HDB flats is very difficult if you serve buyers. The agents representing the sellers do not want to co-broke with the buyers' agent. They want to earn the full 3%. What happens is that they will quote a ridiculous 50K cash over valuation to a potential buyer with an agent however if the buyer does not have an agent they will quote something like 20K cash over valuation. The seller does not know this is happening. Am told 70% of sellers' agents do this ............. true or not we wont know but do take note of such practices by many agents ............. This is surely not in the best interest of the seller.
  6. Bros, pliz gimme your comments and do share ur personal encounters too.Hope all wounds mend faster after this. I have this project groupmate whom i juz got to know this semester. He seems like a normal, easygoing schoolmate who is able to work together. However, his true colours shone through these past few weeks.Mind you that this project is an online business simulation that needs decision making every week and competing with other grps(fiercely). Some of the things he did that stretch me to the limit. - He is overly aggressive and puts out a set of instructions each week while everyone else have to meet accommodate him. - He haolian to lecturer by emailing him abt our grp results(which was juz lucky to my pt of view). This was totally unnecessary as i'm sure the lecturer's monitoring things well and if credit was due, it will be given. - Caused friction amongst some of us who have known each other for some time. - There was one meeting all except him was present. He chose to attend the meeting via msn. After everyone had to crack their brains that night, we informed him abt the our decision that we uploaded. Immediate in the next 2min, he went to make changes to the file and overwrote it. (C'mon where's the decent respect here) These are juz some of the major things that he's done. He is the worst person i've ever worked with.
