Im running a 2- way component speaker setup n my front left tweeter is gone.... need to buy a pair of tweeter to replace it. my budget is around $20 to $30.... any recomendation? search frm ebay n interested with power accoustik nb.4 tweeter, which cost me around $30 incl shipping.... is it a good buy?

I need one pair for front and another for back, if not my back passenger will complain sound very muffled. Do I need to use 2 pairs of identical? or can I use different brand for front and back? I'm not very particular about sound, no great ICE, just something that gives out acceptable sound will do

Hi, Recently, i was told that my tweeter polarity is hook up wrongly by one audioshop. The installer uses an M*Q gadget to verify the leds sequence. However, when i approach my previous installer whom i have purchase & install the comp speaker & tweeter, he mention that the tweeter polarity cannot be trace?? My question: 1. Can the tweeter polarity be trace? 2. Does the wrong tweeter polarity affect the sound quality? 3. Will this have any impact to the setup over time? Appreciate your expert advise. TIA

My setup is as below. Thinking to upgrade. Wonder expert out that can advise to upgrade the tweeter or the amp first to feel a more significant improvement in the soundsystem. I have my eye on this amp STEG Qmos 104.4 amp Is this an SQ amp? or Genesis 4 x 50w Is this powerful enough for my front speaker. I spoken to my installer, was told that this is a pure amp so is enough for the speakers. I am more keen in SQ, soundstaging and tight bass. Thanx -

Hi All, Need help in this area, what if i fix another tweeter at the front panel. At the moment i am in ACTIVE SETUP Q1: do i need to install a crossover for the 2 sets or tweeter? Q2: at the moment 1 am using a 2 channel Amp... 1000watts just for the tweeter Q3:what will the surround sound effect be? Q4: have anyone done this? Please advise tks........

Any ICE gurus out there can advice me on this? My gain on the amp has to be turned down really low, if not there would be some hissing static like sound comming from the tweeter. I'm guessing it's the crossovers i'm using since my speakers and tweeters aren't of the same brand. Anyone has any spare crossovers i can borrow to "test" my theory? Or anyone knows any way other way to get rid of this sound? It's real irritating on songs that are vocal cause in the background, you can hear hissing... My HU volume now has to be real high because my gain is almost off..

in the higher end 2-way component speakers, what are the more frequently-used crossover points for these 2 way, between the typically 1 inch tweeter and 6.5 inch midbass? is it 3k? 4k? this question is also posed to those running active. what is commonly set amongst u guys for this crossover point?

bought the tweeter and upgrade my rear speaker since march 06. now my right tweeter , i can hear piak piak piak sound, playing CD or listening to tuner. can someone confirm me is it tweeter faulty? any good audio workshop to recommend , i want to re-wire cause last time i went to a lousy audio workshop. they never fix my aeroplane sound, but just adding a module to cut down the aeroplane sound. imagine is tweeter problem, i guess they will just bluff bluff lower down the AMP, and say ok liao. sigh, tomorrow going back to the lousy workshop to see can one to one exchange or not. if ya recommending audio workshop, do give me the address hor.

Would like some advice from bros here on changing my Tweeters... My current tweeters have some breaking sound when playing certain instruments...so i was thinking of changing them....problem is when i fix up the new tweeters...other brands ones, they sound very brilllant..too brillant and not comfortant to the ears...i notice also that the tweeters were louder than my old ones. I have adjusted the gain of the tweeters to minium liao also doesnt help much...i know it is better to buy complete set with the WooferMid and Tweeter but it will be a waste to do so... I think my next step will be bringing the old tweeters to the shop and run it and match them on the spot . What do ur'll think? Thanks

Recently passed by a Vios in a car park & saw the owner got 2 dome shaped tweeters, machiam 2 golf balls installed on the A pillars. anyone knows or have come across where to get them?

I have just upgraded my component speaker to MA audio 5 1/4" (140W) connected to a 1000W amp. However with engine at idle the tweeter is making a tick tick sound. When driving, i can hear my engine roar from the tweeter. When playing using battery power, all the noise is not vaild. Anyone know what's wrong, please advise. Thanks.

The factory stereo system on the Optra is average to say the least. Just wondering if any of you Optra owners did the tweeter (surround sound per ad) upgrade? Was it $90 well spent?

Hi guys, I need some advice on amplifier and tweeters. I have a spare amplifier which is lying around after I savaged it from my previous car. I'm intending on install it on my current new car which doesn't have one. My question is: What is the actual difference with the amplifier? Does it simply just amplifies the sound volume so that I do not have to turn the volume dial too much to hear the increase in volume? If it's just simply amplifiying the volume only, wouldn't it be quite useless? But I think it should do more than that coz if not, why would so many ppl install amps? Basically, I would like to justify the reasons for having the amp before I go ahead to install it. Another question I have is: If I were to install a new pair of tweeters, where should I install it to? Front? or Front and rear? And what is the price for a pair of reasonable quality tweeters? regards kianbeng
