Porsche throws its weight behind Transformers: Rise of the Beasts in a new promo video highlighting the character Mirage who has Pete Davidson as a voice actor. When in car mode, this Autobot is a 964-generation 911 Carrera RS 3.8. The promo clip showcases a scene in some earlier trailers. Actor Anthony Ramos playing the character Noah Diaz is in the car, but he's not in control of the vehicle. The Porsche is running away from the police, including jumping off a ramp. The 911 slides into a warehouse and reveals Mirage's robot identity. In other scenes, the silver-and-blue Carrera RS 3.8 drives through a mountain road during an avalanche. Meanwhile, other bots are chasing it, including the peregrine falcon Airazor. Porsche to join Formula 1 Porsche invested millons in e-fuel Porsche now stars in Transformer! Koba need a Porsche!!!!!

And no! Not optimus prime! Seven-year-old boy in China electrocuted after urinating on transformer PUBLISHED ON MAY 19, 2015 8:51 AM PRINTEMAIL The shed where seven-year-old Fang Haohao urinated in, which he thought was a toilet. It turned out to be a 10,000-volt electrical substation. -- PHOTO: WEIBO XI'AN - A boy suffered a near-fatal electrocution when he urinated on a transformer on a roadside in China's Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province. Fang Haohao, seven, wanted to relieve himself while waiting with his parents at a bus stop and was told by his father to do so at an open space behind some hoarding, according to My Paper. Mr Fang then heard crackling noises shortly after and saw thick smoke rising from a nearby shed, which turned out to be a 10,000-volt electrical substation. He rushed over to discover his son lying on the floor of the shed, his whole body on fire. All the boy's hair had been burnt off and he was covered in blisters. Haohao was rushed to a hospital, which transferred him to a better-equipped facility where his left arm was amputated. A doctor also said nearly half of the boy's body was severely burnt and that his skull was visible. Police on the scene discovered a small warning sign on the shed but was unable to establish who owned it. Speaking to local media, a tearful Mr Fang questioned the lack of prominent warning signs around the substation. He also asked why it was located so near a bus stop. "We come from a village. My son must have thought it uncivilised to pee by the roadside in a city. But at his age, how could he have known that it was a substation?" he said. Quoting a physics teacher in Xi'An, My Paper reported that urine, consisting mostly of saline, is a good conductor of electricity. An electrical current could have flowed through the boy's stream of urine if it came into contact with the transformer, causing an electric shock. Why do I not feel a bit sad? KArma is indeed a bitch

I read over at the Amazon thread and thought this should be for discussion here. This is in view of the things we are buying from US via Amazon that uses 110V Voltage. The Wattage is also the key consideration here, on how many WATT step down transformers to use. REad as a guide that one should get 3x the rated power on the device. That is, if the device is 250W, get at least 750W for buffer. I am wondering if this rule of thumb is valid. REason I ask is I just shipped a laser printer and the Wattage is 250W, thus, this is my concern. Any other related issues, please post here for the general public

Recently purchased a powerpac Transformer/Converter for my Porter Cable. However it doesnt work when I switched it on. The Power indicator blinked for a sec and the whole think went dead. Opened up the fuse and think its blown. Being NOT an electrical Man,I hope bros here can help me out, as I was thnking I'd set the Input voltage wrongly. Should I set it to Input voltage as 220V instead of 110V? Can I either both socket points for my PC, or I can only use the socket indicated with 110V on top?
