  1. Cam car has recorded a taxi speeding up while trying to switch lanes. The taxi also drove along the road shoulder and performed brake checks on the cam car. Are all these really worth the hassle and risking your safety over? It seems more like pettiness and insane behaviour to me. Watch the video for yourself below: 290217725_120483413866324_829176470840012533_n.mp4 Road courtesy is basic decency. It does not only safeguard your own safety, but others as well. And in the case of this taxi driver, he neither cares for his safety nor the safety of others. The offence Driving along the road shoulder is a traffic offence by itself, and the taxi driver could be liable to a maximum of 6 demerit points and a $200 fine. Brake checking is also known as the act of sharply hitting the brakes while driving to make an unsuspecting driver behind slam on his brakes or swerve out of the way to avoid an accident. Although it is not a chargeable offence, the taxi driver would be liable if his brake check results in an accident between him and the cam car. Netizen Comments Netizens gathered to express their opinions, with many criticising and blaming the taxi driver. It seems that netizens are aware of who is in the wrong here. In my opinion, the taxi driver should receive severe consequences for his actions to deter him from performing such acts again. Not only is it extremely petty and senseless, but it could potentially lead to an accident too. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community.
