  1. How fast can can a Toyota Estima go? Any brother here driving one. I was going home on SLE last night and i saw a Estima going definately more than 150Km per hour. I was going at 130 ++ and the Estima just zoom pass me and pull away so quickly even though i was already clocking 130 ++. Sweat > I mean a MPV to go at such high speed is a bit hiong right? Somemore no scare camera?
  2. Who says ninjas don't exist? This black Toyota Estima was the victim of a ruthless attack by a sneaky ninja who pounced on him while he was just trying to make a U-turn (rather poorly). BAM! you can see the ninja (van) went straight for the kill while the Estima stopped just inches away from the kerb. After the swift attack, the ninja (van) makes his (not so) quick getaway... not knowing that everything was recorded by a dash cam! This isn't feudal Japan, where are you going to run to? In all seriousness though, it is important to look where you are going when driving, especially so when making a U-turn. There's always a chance that the car in front hasn't completed the turn in one swift motion, they might even have to reverse, and you wouldn't want to be right behind them when they do! At least now we know why Ninjavan's deliveries are prompt, not even an accident can stop them! 🤣
  3. Launching in Japan on 16 Jan 06. It is said to be based on the hybrid version (2nd pic) unveiled eairler. The new Estima looks pretty good IMO 2006 Estima [inline "New Estima 2.JPG"] Hybrid Concept [inline "estima_hybrid1 (Small).jpg"]
  4. Can anyone share with me what's the difference between Aeras and Premium variants? Thanks!
  5. As above, any comparison done between these 2 models? My views after test drive of odyssey: Odyssey's engine sounds louder than estima within the car cabin Pick up seems more sluggish as compared to estima Odyssey more high tech, auto parking, blind spot indicator etc, BUT no auto tailgate?! Any idea whether Estima is getting a facelift or new design coming out end year/soon?
  6. Hi My fren just got an estima and said there is no spare tyre. I am guessing there is a repair kit somewhere. Can someone from here help? Thanks much!
  7. Hello! I have a problem with my 1 month old Estima: While driving suddenly I lost power steering, Speed reading and all the warning lights including Engine, Power steering, traction control and ABS came on. The car remained drivable and the engine sounded the same. Brought it to the service center (PI) and they said it was a bad battery, changed it. Problem happened again and they changed battery again. Finally they also changed the alternator at my insistence but the problem continued. They then blamed the drive camera for draining too much battery. I've been asked to unplug it and see if the error comes back on. I have a HUD which reads real time voltage. I noticed that when in Park, its always 13.8-14.2V. When I drive, for the first few mins it will remain in this range. After that, on the road it will suddenly drop to 12.2V when the accelerator is being pressed. If I stop stepping on the accelerator while the car is moving at speed, the voltage will jump back to 14.2-14.4V. Also when I turn on the lights the voltage will jump to 13.7V. Turning on or off the air con makes no difference. I'm wondering if this is normal behaviour for the Estima or do I have a problem with some electronic control component? Thanks for any advice! P.S. Since this is my first post, I'm not allowed to start a new topic but if anyone is kind enough to help me re-post this in the Japan Car forum, I'll be very grateful for the increased exposure!
  8. Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum. I'm looking to buy a new Toyota Estima Upper Glove Box as mine is broken. Anybody knows where or who I can purchase it from? And about how much would it cost? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
  9. Friend looking for a mid size MPV for family of 4, occasion 6 pax Eyeing Honda Oddessy, Toyata Estima and Madza 5 or Biante. Which one is best bang for buck and errrrrr best for banging (this one I ask one)... He only want AD ride....
  10. Hi guys, First time purchasing an Estima from a PI. Am thinking that I should be going to those reputable servicing centres like Stamford Tyres or Autobacs regularly. Is there any recommendations? Thus far I only know of these 2. The reason why I cited these 2 is because they have more state of the art machines as compared to those smaller one?? (Pls correct me if I am wrong) Thks.
