Under what circumstances a vehicle will be towed by URA? Anyone here came across car being clamped on 3rd fine by URA (1st two fines on the same month yet to clear)? and being towed to URA premises after fail to settle the clamp fee before officer off duty on that day at 4.20pm?

Hi guys, My car is a front wheel drive toyota harrier , today my starter failed so i had to call AA to come to tow my car. we engaged Neutral to move the car to the fork . and i guess after attached the fork to the front wheels, the tow driver then engaged to Parking gear but he left the hand brake down. later when we arrive to the workshop. i realised that that the gear was shifted to parking mode. I was fraid it might damaged the brakes or even the gear.I asked the tow driver he claimed that it is okay becos the foot brake is not engaged and the front wheels are off the ground when they tow to the workshop. does anyone have any advice on this?

hi bro/s..think its abt time that my friend's car shd have got reposessed.. finally i think it got towed away either last nite or this morning as my friend jus called me for advice..he's at the finance company now though n i'll go meet him up after i finish my typing, they are asking him to pay up 03 mths of installments, 350 towing charge, per day parking of 30 at the so called compound and late interest.. bro/s know if he doesnt have enough to redeem the car, wat will be the next step? auction off or he gets sued? wat will happen from then? appreciate yr kind advices..as i myself haven been in his shoes before n couldnt assist him except morally only ba..oh, lastly wat abt his personal belongings in the car, will he be able to collect them back?

Would like to share a crazy incident that happened to me today. I parked my car behind Singapore Casket along Tyrwhitt Road to settle some details of a loved one that passed away recently. When I was back, I found to my shock that my car was shifted(apparently towed) to the other side of the road, with the side mirror broken off! I noticed there were a few car workshops along the road and went to ask who shifted my car and damaged it. No one admitted so I call mata come. When the mata came, one guy from the nearby shop suddenly ran towards me, shouting and accusing me of parking and blocking his customer vehicle so he towed my car and broke my side mirror, all these in front of the mata. He even admitted that he did it on purpose! Worst still he kept scolding my sis and her bf who were questioning why he needed to break the side mirror. In the end we didnt want to argue with him and just left with his particulars. Will be making a police report tomorrow. Based on a first cut assessment, the side mirror needs to be replaced, glass window scratched, door some scratches. Not sure if there is damage to my undercarriage/gearbox/brakes when it was towed with brakes on. Bros, what would you guys do? Would you pursue a court case against him? My car is less than 2 mths old.

Went to grab breakfast this morning, saw this tow truck fiddling with a motorbike parked along pedestrian walkway (along the road), behind the tow truck was the TP (expressway patrol and orange decals). The rider was not in sight. What could have warrant such a 'service'? Illegal racing? Noise? ps: sorry mods, somehow it ended up in the wrong section.. kindly please help relocate ty!

Was heading home after a late nite movie..happening sia,saw a young p plate holder with his evo stopped by TP. driver escorted back to TP HQ,car waiting to be towed back. anyone knows the joker?or what he gona be in for? Law has eyes @.@
