Nobody likes to beat a red light. I have seen in some countries that they have a countdown timer that tells you from afar how many seconds you have got left before the light turns amber and red and again would show when would turn green at a red light. This I believe would at least help some from beating the red lights?

Ok guys.. I’m new to this, virgin.. I just got my house keys last Friday.. it’s a premium flat at punggol MRT area.. Was nice until the contractor came in and gave me the pricing.. $15k for simple works.. Basically, I want to tear down a HDB wall and re-erect a new one at further away. (this, already cost me $1.5k-2k). the re-erect portion can be bricks or just partition.. as we got no plans for it. Then I intend to raise the flooring of kitchen for cabinet, washing machine, 2 x toilets.. Carpentry is really a major cost contributor.. My kitchen is 3.48m long and only have space for floor type.. I didn’t intend to engage any ID, I wish to be my own main con.. I also exploring the possibility of getting carpentry works in Malaysia. Hence is there any tips for me..

Hi Bros/Sis, My Jazz has reached its 3 year mark and all 4 tyres have shown wore out conditions including a right rear which has been dropping 30+ Kpa per week. However, it is to my knowledge that my Rim size is slightly different as it is 16 inch rim. The info on the tyre reads: 185 / 55 R16 83H I went to Shell earlier and the only tyre they carry to fit my rim requirement is Falken 912. (However reading reviews about it was slightly negative.) I hope any bro/sis with similiar tyre specification can advise me on which other brand/model/workshop to go to. (I previously looked forward to Bridgestone GR90 but they don't seem to produce my rim size tyres.) My priority is comfort, quietness and decent grip since I do not drive fast. Please advise. Many thanks Ejazz

Hi all, During this few days, when i turn my car engine, immediately, my car engine shut down. Turbo timer did not kick in. Turbo timer still counting down, and my car dashboard almost all the icons is lighted up. 1. I suspect Turbo timer faulty liao, cannot hold the engine idling till count down ended. 2. I suspect battery going to flat liao, but i dont have problem starting my car, which i doubt so. Anyone encounter this before? Thanks for reading Rgds

Hi bros and sis I tried to install the original Apexi pen type auto timer on my Copen, but went to 5 WS all don't know how to fix, then say Apexi can't be used on Copen. but another friend of mine using replica one did and working fine on his copen so he say replica can fit and original one can't. What BS. Then went to buy HKS turbo timer also same problem. Engine will stall when turn off key. Have to rev til 2K RPM then can start countdown with engine running. A mech checked my friend set up and said his was installed with a diode and a relay near the timer console. Anyone know what is that diode and reply for coz mech himself also scratching head. Or anyone know of a place can intro me with pro who can really deal with wiring and install timer? Even went to audio WS also can't help. His was the 6th WS I visited and to no avail..

I wonder how many cars have built-in auto timer? Are they a must have to prolong engine life and the well being of the electrical gadgets? Consider its price, it is not something expensive to install too. Regards,

Need a recommended place to install the timer, in case the one who installed for me cannot solve the alarm issue. Any recommendation? Price wise? $20?

I have been an owner of many cars before, and always one lazy bum when it comes to washing, waxing, cleaning, vacuuming car. The previous car I owned I didnt even washed it once in the 2 years I owned it, anyone believe ? 2 days ago, I drove my new BMW320i out of the showroom, immediately my Wifey said 'are you gonna wash / polish this car or are u gonna be as lazy as before, which will in time make our car the dirtiest looking BMW in our estate"? Lan Lan, so on advice from a brother on this forum, I decided to try out Menzerna paint protection system treatment for the 1st time. I dont even know what I was in for as detailing is alien to me. I used to wash my car plate number with dynamo cloth washer liquid only bcos I was gonna buy 4-D Anyway, I got my wife to send it to Studio 12 at AMK autopoint in the morning and car was ready for collection by around 1 pm. Got the car back nice n clean. Since I do not drive to work, I only got home at 8pm to see the results under fluorescent lighting [ i lived in a terrace house with shleter]. In the rather subdued lighting, the paintwork initially didnt look much different from before since the car was already polished by PML. What was rather nice was that at certain angles, u could see clear reflections. My car colour is metallic silver, i could almost see the reflection image of the fluorescent light on the ceiling. i believe if it was black colour, the reflection would be nicer? Oh my sold car was black . This morning I finally had the chance to see it clearly under morning daylight before I drove to work, it looks glossy but isnt sticky to the fingers like typical waxing. Saw a few spots of dont know what, maybe tree sap, on the bonnet[wnet out dinner last night n parked in open. Put on wet tissue as saw on forum discussions, and after 30 secs wiped them off with drier tissue.....the marks are gone ! then later also found that the evaporated moisture from my damp cleaning tissue had left behind some 'water spots' when seen from certain angles. Next I used a fully dry tissue to remove them in a single swap...tada !!!! Those dirt seem to be removal easily. So looks like it was worth the $$ and trouble putting on the Menzerna on my beemer. Was told it was a 6 layer application, including acrylic application or similar. Whatever it is, i think all new car owners should have this done. Sorry I am equally lazy at taking pictures. Hopefully this short description gives everyone a good guage of the product.

Hi All, Was thinking of getting Apexi Turbo Timer although am driving a NA car. Its more of the "additions" like O2 reading, A/F reading, Voltage reading, etc... din wan attention with all the dials on my CMI ride. So guess this is more subtle and CHEAPER! Anyway, any cheap lobang as to where to install?? Mcwell like cannot leh?? Price with installation? Got other gadgets or brands can also suggest! Thanks!!

What should I look out for when buying 2nd hand cars? I heard there are some changes in policy few years ago that affect the scrap value (or something like that). What is it exactly? A cousin offer me his 3.5-year Honda civic for $45K and about $5K depreciation/year. Car is serviced by Honda only, not outside workshop. Is this a good deal?

Hi! Did anyone install a turbo timer in this car successfully? If so, can I have more details on where the installation was done and what brand the turbo timer was? Asking for a friend Soya? Anyone? Thanks!!!
