Been hearing her on the radio inadvertently. I find her jokes stale and voice impersonations irritating. I switch stations while driving all the time, whenever I hear her voice, I will switch station immediately. To those who enjoy her segments on radio, no offence.

http://news.asiaone.com/news/singapore/caught-camera-passenger-hurls-abuse-cabby Angry that such idiots exist in Singapore. Even if one is a paying customer, there is a more dignified way to talk to the cabby. I think some other forums have CSIed the passenger liao.... Old people will say this sort really "bo ka sih"....ill disciplined.

Hmmm...read this commentary over lunch - he raises some interesting points - some I agree with, and some I think he is mistaken. 1. An employment pass should only ever be short term and temporary. It should be a "stop gap" measure for when a specific skill cannot be recruited from within a country. With this, there should be no expectation of automatic renewal. 2. There should be a much greater level of transperancy from the government on how many applications are received, how many rejected (and way) and how many passes no renewed. A lack of transperancy is the enemy of informed democracy and also of good business planning. 3. How do you refuse to renew a re-entry permit? This is the worst issue of the lot he raises. The bar for getting PR should be high - but once received, the bar for (effectively) revoking it should also be very high. It would be interesting to know more about the re-entry permits not renewed. 4. There should NOT be any appeal for failed applications except where a) there is a change in circumstances b) the rejection is factually incorrect (eg: salary was incorrectly recorded or similar reasons) Any thoughts?

Mercedes car owner refuses to pay $30 fine for not using parking coupon at Circular Road Other cars also illegally parked, why pick mine? By Liew Hanqing TNP, March 15, 2010 A luxury car owner has refused to pay a $30 parking fine, alleging that the parking attendant was biased in issuing the fines. Mr Wilson Ang, 23, parked his Mercedes-Benz SLK convertible in a lot along Circular Road, near Boat Quay at 8.10pm on 28 Feb. He was there to buy dinner for his wife and returned 10 minutes later to find he had been given a ticket for not displaying a coupon. He claims that his car was the only one in the entire row booked, although there were other cars that did not have parking coupons displayed. Mr Ang said: "It's not that I'm not aware that I have broken the rules. I just don't feel that the authorities should be biased when they are issuing tickets." He has also sent an e-mail to the Urban Redevelopment Authority, but has received no response. I hope he get a chance....to appear in court.

Is it that most caucasion men who come to Asian countries thinks that all the women here are lining up for them? check this out : http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg..._spore_guy.html Quote from Stomp: After all the bashing local men received last week after a video of a man allowing his girlfriend to hit him in the groin was posted on STOMP, STOMPer EL decided to send in this sound clip to show the other extreme behaviour of men - the moronic, egotistic kind. In an email to STOMP today (Aug 31), the STOMPer says:
