  1. Subaru teased us with a photo of the BRZ with the enticing STi logo on its Japanese website a few days ago. However, it turns out that it is actually a tS edition, which will commence selling soon. The Subaru tS edition will be available for sale in two different versions - the standard BRZ tS and the BRZ tS 'GT-package'. The white car seen here is fitted with the 'GT-package' comes with new 17-inch lightweight black alloy rims, a more pronounced front lip, side skirt and rear bumper. It will also get lower springs, sports muffler, front strut tower bar and some interior trimmings. Bigger Brembo brakes, Bilstein dampers, lightweight driveshaft, Recaro seats and a GT carbon fibre wing are some of the features that buyers can get for this car. The standard tS makes do with the aforementioned bodykit, springs, muffler, strut bar and the minor interior details. A total of 500 units will be produced and it will very likely be a Japan-only model. Tough luck for us locals! We wonder if Subaru will produce a full blown turbocharged STi version of the BRZ. We are definitely crossing our fingers for that one!
