  1. Hi, looking for a service (some top coat?) on car paint works to try to prevent Scratches, Discoloration of Paint from hot sun on a daily basis (exposed carpark). I have been looking at those 2nd hand cars thats being groomed by car dealers but from far, looks shiny n bling but upon close inspection, can see lots of swirl marks on the material. I think the basic coat of the car paint has already been damaged because of this polishing or whatever u called. So i'm looking for a service that dont create this problem. In the long run, hope that the extra $ fork out on the protection of paint = less time spend taking care of the car n if need to sell off later, hopefully can command higher price because of extra care taken to protect the paint Any recommendation? Thank you
  2. Hello Fellas, I got a very small car which i would like to get the swirl marks and birdsh!t marks removed from specific areas like the front bonnet of car and the roof. Interior of car requires no grooming as it was done not long ago. Can someone advise or recommend a good place to do? If really necessary, I dont mind doing the whole car. As the car is very small and i may not have that much time. 3hrs is all I can afford. Any indication of price and examples of work done would be helpful. Thank you very much.

  13. My dad collected his sapphire blue latio today. I was there. When it was out in the sun, immediately i noticed fine scratches. Some were swirl marks. There was one straight series of fine scratches on the bonnet area. Immediately i highlighted to the SE and she said that dark cars are like that. I told her it's unacceptable. Lagi best. I got home, parked my own car next to my dads and saw bird sh#t on it. Being the good boy on dad's new car, i took out tissue and my spray bottle and tried to wipe it off. It left a blur patch of scratches and lo and behold, i scratched off the paint leaving a white line! Tissue and water can stratch the paint off meh? Not just the white line, the whole area around it is BLUR! Anyone kena this before? Any ideas why it happened? I asked the SE if someone forgot the clear coat or something. Gonna bring the car back to Tan Chong and ask for the manager. I'm pissed! Even my lok kok Kia Rio paintwork isnt that bad.. and i tot it sucked already!!!
  14. Need some advice here. A friend just got his new honda civic 1.8 (black). When he invited me to take a look at his new ride, i saw that there were many swirl marks on the car body (look under the afternoon sun, though a bit glare). Wonder why is that so? It is a brand new car (only 2nd day). He has not wash his car yet upon receiving it. Another colleague of mine too have the same symptoms when i look at his. Any bros here driving a new black civic have such problem? NOTE: Must look under bright lights. What action can he take? Ask the agent to remove swirl mark? Ask for a new replacement? What and who causes those marks? IT is only a 2 days car and he didn't send to any grooming or car wash yet.

  20. Thought I invented a hand-held AA size (4 pcs) battery operated buffing "machine". Happily wrap the attachment with soft cloth and started waxing my car using the rotational motion of my invention. But after removing the wax, I can see a lot of Swirl marks!! Help!! Please tell me how to remove them and where can I get professional service? The last pic shows the waxing before cleaning. After removing, not so obvious but if look carefully, can see the marks. 21. Anyone has some polish without filler oils to share or spare? Something like the 3M swirlmark remover that doesn't contain oils to fill up the swirls, it's a pure mild abrasive polish.
  22. My mom's car has been neglected ever since I enlisted last Sept, decided to restore it as CNY is just ard the corner. Swirls and stains!! The amount of crap picked-up by the claybar on the hood alone. The hood after 3 passes with Meguiars #83 DACP + burgundy cutting pad on orbiter @ speed 5. There were still some minor swirls and hazing caused by DACP, thus I did another 2 passes with #80 Speedglaze with a polishing pad @ speed 4. Washed the car again to remove any residue and dust before applying my LSP. I used a sealant(Meguiars NXT) + carnauba(Meguiars #16 paste wax) combo as LSP. Spent 4 hours on the exterior alone.
  23. How to remove the swirl marks on my altis?. 2 times washed in Malaysia and 3 times washed by myself. I am using the turtle wax mitts. I used fusso 9 mths sealant + fusso premium irridium wax like 3 weeks ago. Each time I washed, I will buff with mcguire's quick detailing. I just noticed it yesterday when under the sun......Have I done anything not correct? Any help? I also got a scratch mark on the rear view mirrors. Can I patch it DIY? The car a bit dirty on the picture....just 1 day fresh from washing....see what Jurong area can do to my car....
  24. Hey Guys my car is about 6 months and i hv lots of swirl marks on my car ....heard from my friends that simply cleaning the car cause these swirl marks...and waxing sometimes makes it worse... right now the 'in' thing is car paint protection is it? anyone has any recommendation? and what is the difference btw polishing and paint protection? Thanks in advance!
  25. I spent 4 hours detailing my car last night. Started with clay bar and the after effect is so unreal. Pardon me, but this is the first time doing it. The surface is so bloody smooth, I swear I want to touch my car more than my gf's skin.... But I find it hard to remove swirl marks....there seems to be plenty of these marks everywhere. How do I get rid of them? I have did the polishes, waxes, they are still there. And then Sratch X. I use this and nearly got a shock. The direction says wait till it dry then wipe it off. When it is finally dry, some parts of it stick like dried glue......I rub and rub also can't get it off. How do you actually use this?
