Hello bros and sis, Anyone having this problem before? Floaters? In short they are like irregular lines, spots that seems floating in your vision especially obvious when you move your eyeball and against a bright background? For unknown reasons so far, last saturday afternoon the floaters(quite a fair bit) just appear. Hoping it will go away soon and hear from anyone that have this experience.

The Cranberries lead singer Dolores O'Riordan has died suddenly at the age of 46, her publicist has confirmed. The Irish musician, originally from Limerick, led the band to international success in the 90s with singles including Linger and Zombie. A statement from her publicist said: "The lead singer with the Irish band The Cranberries was in London for a short recording session. "No further details are available at this time." A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said the police were called to a hotel in Park Lane at 09:05 GMT on Monday, where "a woman in her mid-40s" was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is, at this stage, unexplained. Her current band mates in The Cranberries - Noel Hogan, Fergal Lawler, and Mike Hogan - paid tribute to the lead singer on social media. The message said: "She was an extraordinary talent and we feel very privileged to been part of her life from 1989." Her publicist added: "Family members are devastated to hear the news and have requested privacy at this very difficult time." The Cranberries shot to international fame with their 1993 debut album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? and went on to sell over 40 million records worldwide. In 2017 The Cranberries announced a tour including dates in Europe, the UK, and the US. However, in May - shortly into the European tour - the group had to cancel the remainder of the European dates as a result of O'Riordan's health issues. The official Cranberries website cited "medical reasons associated with a back problem" preventing singer Dolores O'Riordan from performing. But just before Christmas O'Riordan had posted on Facebook saying she was "feeling good" and had done her "first bit of gigging in months", leading fans to believe she would soon be performing again. O'Riordan tweeted a picture of herself with her cat to fans in early January saying she was "off to Ireland". O'Riordan split from her husband of 20 years, Don Burton in 2014. She and Burton, who is the former tour manager of Duran Duran, have three children together. The singer was arrested over an alleged air rage incident in 2014 but was released without charge, after a stewardess was reportedly attacked on a flight from New York to Shannon, County Clare. O'Riordan was taken to hospital in Limerick after being questioned by police and later discharged. Two years later, O'Riordan was ordered to pay 6,000 euros (£5,300) to charity for headbutting a police officer after an alleged air rage incident. She was later diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2015, which she said explained why she was in a "manic" state on the plane. In an interview in 2013 she said that she had been abused as a child, which led to her developing an eating disorder, and eventually she suffered a breakdown. She described her family, especially her children, as her "salvation". Irish president Michael D Higgins called her death "a big loss", and added O'Riordan's work with The Cranberries "had an immense influence on rock and pop music in Ireland and internationally". Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister) Leo Varadkar said she was probably "Limerick's greatest ever rock star", and that her band "captured all of the angst that came with your teenage years". 'Unforgettable voice' The Kinks guitarist and singer Dave Davies paid tribute to O'Riordan, saying he was "shocked" and that he had seen her "a couple weeks before Christmas". He added "she seemed happy and well". A book of condolence will be opened in her home town of Limerick on Tuesday, at the city council's headquarters. O'Riordan, the youngest of seven children, had written her own songs since she was 12. She joined the band while still in her teens, after spotting an advert for a female singer for rock band The Cranberry Saw Us. Later changed to The Cranberries, the band's most successful tracks include Linger (1993), Zombie (1994) - a protest song about bombings that took place in relation to the conflict in Northern Ireland - as well as No Need To Argue (1994) and To the Faithful Departed (1996). O'Riordan briefly pursued a solo career after the band split in 2003, before The Cranberries reunited in 2009.

We often see passengers flaging down taxis from corner of the road junction where traffic is heavy and cars are getting in / out from one road into the other.... the taxi will just cut lanes and stop right at the junction disregarding other cars !!! Taxi drivers will blame the passengers who insist the taxi stop as and where to pick / let down the passengers. The passengers will say: he drives the taxi, if he decides to stop, i cant control him. Why not fine both passengers and taxi drivers who cause taxi to stop at road junction / double yellow line / no-stop zone etc etc.... taxi whichs cut lanes suddenly should be fine: if they are cruising and looking for passengers at the same time, take left most lane. Or: issue free 'passnger-license' to all who take taxi, but deduct demerit points if they are caught flouting the above rules, once all demerit pts are exhausted, he will not be allow to take taxi and if he does, impose heavy fines, 30% of the fine goes to the taxi driver who reports such 'illegal' passengers. Taxi drivers who bring / report such illegal passegner to the station will be given free drink and nasi lemak lunch etc in addition to 40% of the fine.

Hi guys, urgent question. Driving 2005 STi which I bought last dec. So far no mechanical issues until tonight. Mostly stock handling with what seems like stock suspension and only upgraded front discs to slotted. When I was exiting PIE (Tuas) to Toh guan rd, the 90 degree left handed sweeper, midway through the corner, I felt the steering wheel very hard to turn. Definitely abnormal. I applied more force and managed to negotiate the turn safely. Lucky I had both hands on the wheel. In the dry I have taken the bend at 20km/h more than what I did just now, with no issues besides some tire chirping. Definitely seems like something is wrong and not that I cornered too fast. The only other time i felt something wrong was earlier today when I did a slower speed corner and felt a tugging feeling on the wheel but it was just a split second so i thought maybe it was the tire. The feeling can be described almost like someone grabbing my wheel and pulling it to the opposite direction. Would be spooky if there were no such things as mechanical issues. Low speed turning of steering wheel is fine, normal effort and not too stiff. No issues or funny noises when parking. Anyone faced similar issues? or can share with me possible diagnosis and cost to rectify? Thanks in advance...

..we have a housing problem lah...and KBW seems set to correct it...... but funnily how come that horse alwes say no problem....say sGeans fussy lah, etc etc..... serves the a$$ right kena retire Rental flats supply set to increase By Joanne Chan | Posted: 29 May 2011 1945 hrs Photos1 of 1 HDB flats (file picture) VideoRental flats supply set to increase SINGAPORE: Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan said there is a shortage of rental flats in Singapore, and there is a need to ramp up supply by "ten of thousands". However, Mr Khaw said it will take some time to make up this shortfall, as the construction industry is unable to cope with the sudden surge in demand. Mr Khaw spoke about the need to ramp up the supply of rental flats, during a youth forum at the Woodlands Community Club. "Single mothers, divorcees (may) suddenly have no flat (or) no money to buy (one), so they are counting on rental (flats)," Mr Khaw said. "Then there are all kinds of HDB rules that prevent them from renting. The rules are not frivolous. "The problem HDB faces is that they are just short of rental flats. It's quite clear in my mind -- we need to ramp up the building of rental flats as quickly as we can. Not just by a few thousands; actually we need to (increase) by tens of thousands. And the earlier the better." This comes two days after the HDB announced the supply of new BTO flats will be increased this year from 22,000 to 25,000 units. Mr Khaw said the HDB needs to build "almost similar numbers" of rental flats, but said there are challenges. While Mr Khaw is keen to ramp up the supply of new flats quickly, he admitted the construction industry cannot cope with this sudden surge in demand. The industry is used to building some 15,000 units a year. As such, Mr Khaw said it will take some time to meet demand. Mr Khaw added he needs to study the capacity of the construction industry to understand how fast flats can be built. Meanwhile, Mr Khaw was asked at the forum, about the large presence of foreigners in Singapore. Some in the audience said they felt threatened when it came to competition for jobs. Mr Khaw acknowledged that too many foreigners were allowed in, the last few years, and there was a need to calibrate the numbers. But he noted the relationship between economic growth and foreign labour, and said by reducing their numbers, Singaporeans are accepting there will be trade-offs. Mr Khaw said: "We thought (taking foreigners in) was important to bring wages to people's pockets, so that we can grow as fast as we can... (and) catch up with other countries. "But now, we get the message that 'we don't want so much growth, that we are prepared to accept slower growth'. "It actually affects the youth immediately, because when you slow down growth, it means that job opportunities also come down (and) starting pay also comes down". Other issues touched on at the forum included alternative pathways for youths who want to pursue the arts, and global competition. -CNA/wk

I am very surprised to find that my block's lobby and its surrounding is so clean when I went home last evening. This morning I happened to chance upon the cleaner. I asked him how come suddenly the whole place is so clean. He replied, "I hear MP coming" No wonder la. I have been staying there for the close to 3 years and i don't even know who is my MP? PAP MP will only come to visit you, if you are lucky, once every 4 year. For your infos, my block is the worst and the most dirty place that I've lived so far. Last week I received a flyer placed at my main door from an opposition party. So if you want your place to be clean, pls pray hard that your place is NOT a WALKOVER How I wish if we can hv a General Election every 6 Months.

I would gladly appreciate if there are any Swift technical experts could help me in this.My ride is Swift '07 1.3MT. Scenario: Was travelling home as per normal at SLE.approaching Mandai exit, slowed down and dropped gear from 5 to 4.While the clutch is still depressed and slight braking and maneuvering the corner, out of sudden, the engine totally dies off! No power,no lights,no aircon and even worse, power steering is also lost! For a full 3 seconds,i was not in control of the car. Then out of a sudden, everything went back on and the engine restarted by itself!I thank God that my family is safe and nothing happened while i'm taking the corner. The question is,what causes it to happen?Battery is fine(less than 6 mths old),no professional ICE(juz radio HU),normal Pivot (blue) VS with grounding. No hardcore modifications done, only got SIMOTA carbon air filter. Can any bros here help me on this?I heard from a friend that there are Swift owners who experienced the same problem with me.What is the exact problem?I think i need to rectify it ASAP coz i always go up north and don't want anything serious to happen(touch wood!) Many thanks in advance

Was driving home as per normal when car suddenly stalled and lost all power. Steering became very heavy and accelerator pedal cannot be depressed. Engine check light came up as well. Restart the car and managed to move for 500m when it happened again. Luckily I managed to cruise slowly to road shoulder. Restart 2nd time and managed to drive home slowly at 60km/h on extreme left lane with no further problem. Anyone can advise whats wrong with the car? I think will send it in for checking tomorrow.

Hi, All Need help desperately! My ride experiences engine dies-off suddenly while at travel!!! It happened 1 to 2 times earlier this year, but stopped for a long while. It happened again and has become very frequent lately. . . . twice in a roll last week. I was travelling as normal when the engine suddenly dies-off. Yes, there's no acceleration & steering is locked. I immediately press hazard lights, control the steering and access the situation; if its OK, I stop by the side & start engine again at P gear; if not OK, I switch to N gear and crank to start again & move on...... It was rather dangerous as the steering is locked! Anyone can advice what has gone wrong!??? My mechanic shows me his ??? face. Regards, korusawa

Russia may export new Su-35 fighters to India, Malaysia, Algeria FARNBOROUGH, July 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russia is ready to export the new state-of-the-art Su-35 Flanker multirole air superiority/strike fighter to India, Malaysia and Algeria, Russia's state-run arms exporter Rosoboronexport said on Tuesday. "Algeria, Malaysia and India are our partners and if they express an interest, we will offer them the Su-35 fighter while fulfilling our current obligations," Alexander Mikheyev, head of the air force department at Rosoboronexport, said in an exclusive interview with RIA Novosti at the Farnborough International Air Show in England. In 2007, Sukhoi, which is part of Russia's United Aircraft Corporation, exported about 50 Su-30MK2, Su-30MKM and Su-30MKI aircraft under contracts with a number of countries, including Algeria, India, and Malaysia. The company is planning to export at least 160 Su-35 fighters in the future, Sukhoi's deputy head Sergei Korotkov said at a news conference in Farnborough on Tuesday. "The [su-35] aircraft has attracted a lot of attention," Korotkov said. "As part of our business plan, we expect to sell about 160 planes." The Su-35 fighter, powered by two 117S engines with thrust vectoring, combines high maneuverability and the capability to effectively engage several air targets simultaneously using both guided and unguided missiles and weapon systems. The aircraft features the new Irbis-E radar with a phased antenna array, which allows the pilot to detect and track up to 30 air targets, while simultaneously engaging up to eight targets. It is equipped with a 30-mm cannon with 150 rounds and can carry up to eight tons of combat payload on 12 eternal mounts. Sukhoi earlier said it plans to start deliveries of the new aircraft, billed as "4++ generation using fifth-generation technology," to foreign clients in 2011 and produce Su-35s over a period of 10 years up to 2020. http://en.rian.ru/russia/20080715/114032520.html
