Hi, Need some help here.. I recently purchase a Viper 3305V Alarm and it stopped chirping when i lock or unlock my car. The lights still flash though. I read up and it seems that it is due to my car in valet mode. I have tried many options suggested: 1) press the aux and open button together 2) press door open and close together while slightly hold 3) press and release the aux button followed by the door open They all dont work. Any ideas ?

Vowing to expand "no-smoking" zones in the country, Dr Subramani­am said discussions had been held with the relevant agencies and all had agreed to gazetting R&Rs as "no-smoking" zones. "We want to implement this as soon as possible. "The smoke-free zones will cover a 3m radius within the area," he told reporters after launching the national-level "International No Tobacco Day" event at a hypermarket in Meru Raya here. Dr Subramaniam said that Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) would also gazette its sheltered walkways spanning 23km in the city centre as smoke-free zones. "The authorities will also be stepping up enforcement and monitoring these areas to deter people from smoking. "I know that enforcement will be a challenge as it covers a large area but it will be done. "It is only through strict enforcement that we can drive our message across," he said, adding that offenders could be fined between RM250 and RM500. The minister warned that those who failed to pay their compounds could be brought to court and fined a maximum of RM10,000 or face up to two years in prison if found guilty. Dr Subramaniam said the ministry had also beefed up enforcement against sales and procurement of illegal cigarettes. To ensure faster bus journeys, a scheme that makes it compulsory for motorists to give way to buses moving out from bus bays will be expanded to 150 more bus stops islandwide. This extension, announced by Parliamentary Secretary for Transport Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim on Sunday, will boost the number of stops on the scheme by over 70 per cent, from the existing 203. Bus bays in the scheme, started in December 2008, are marked with a large box in yellow and an arrow indicating the direction of exiting buses. Motorists who fail to give way will be fined $130. Areas where the scheme will be extended to include Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5, Bedok Reservoir Road and Mountbatten Road. In all, there are more than 2,000 bus stops with bus bays islandwide. Was curious what the current new car prices are after the recent COE bidding....went to check out a few dealer websites (mazda, honda, subaru, etc)....then realised tat there are no longer any 1.5L Subaru Impreza listed ! Is it becos the profit margin is too thin and they think nobody in sg is willing to pay for the underpowered car?

I saw a few times in the morning when buses are too crowded..the driver would stop far from bus stops, like on the main road instead of the bus bay...like this morning it did and a car behind it had to stop abruptly. The bus bay was empty. I think the bus driver deliberately stop far away to avoid ppl from rushing in the back door instead of the front. Isn't this dangerous? Anyone else saw this b4? Is this part of their standard operating procedure?

FOR half an hour yesterday morning, two overseas passengers were suspended mid-air in the Singapore Flyer. But that may not have been such a bad situation - after all, they had extra time to enjoy the view of the city. A Singapore Flyer spokesman said it had to suspend operations for about 30 minutes due to a technical glitch at around 9am yesterday. A ride on the 165m-tall wheel - about 42 storeys high - typically takes half an hour, and each capsule can take up to 28 people. It is not clear how far the passengers were into their ride before the incident happened, and details on who they were and where they were from were not available. Once the glitch occurred, the spokesman said that measures were promptly taken to ensure the two passengers were aware of the situation through a two-way intercom system. Every capsule is equipped with the system, which is linked to the control room, allowing passengers and the control room personnel to communicate. There are also surveillance cameras installed in every capsule. The Singapore Flyer said its maintenance contractor found a minor fault in the braking system. The attraction resumed operations by mid-morning. After they were safely off the Flyer, the two passengers were offered a complimentary flight and a meal each. Adults ride for $29.50 on the wheel, while children aged 3 to 12 ride for $20.65. Other passengers who went on it later said that things went smoothly. Ms Cheryl Tay, 40, a music teacher, was informed that the wheel had stopped earlier that morning when she arrived at 10am. But she did not think about changing her plans to get on the ride as she was 'confident in the quality of the maintenance staff'. Anyone here used these before to prevent suspension from bottoming out? or to prevent excessive bounce after passing through humps.
