For the past several months my Picinc (w/Michelin PP2 215/55/16) experienced side slip whenever the car went thru an uneven road patch at low speed. My front tyres worn pretty fast with wear on the outside and was advised to change (done only about 45k, did regular tyre rotation, alignemt seem OK & light footed). Passenger on the driver side complained increased in perceived giddyness and car seem to bounce more thru humps. Went to Autobacs and they recommend changing the front suspension for about S$1000 w/OEM toyota parts. Went to a regular service centre in AMK P2 and he too recommend a suspension change. Today went down to Toyota Ubi for a non-booking check and the inhouse service manager was kind enough to ask his car tester to drive me around for a road evaulation. He played with the Steering Hard and we can hear funny noise and observed loose play on the steering. He quite confident that the Steering Axles joint had worn and recommend a complete replacement. The front suspension got to be changed as well and the 4 tyres as well follow with a 4-wheels alignment. So today I went to replace my 4 tyres at Beng Seng. I wanted my PP2 but it had changed to PP3 @ S$260/pc (Made in Thailand). I checked the GR90 and the lady boss highly recommended it and I changed to the GR90 for S$215/pc (made on Japan, price will increase again) I'm supposed to bring down my car to Toyota for the rest of the replacement tomorrow and will cost me around S$5k (w/some discount) Any comment on the pricing ? Thanks.
