Man who stabbed BMW driver to death in viral road rage incident ruled to have acted in self-defense. A man who stabbed a BMW driver to death in a viral road rage incident last week in the Jiangsu city of Kunshan has been ruled to have acted in justifiable self-defense, a decision that has been the cause of celebration across the Chinese internet. The incident occurred at an intersection on Monday night at around 9:37 pm. Surveillance camera footage shows a BMW attempting to swerve into a bike-only lane ahead of a red light, bumping up against one cyclist who refuses to give way. Quickly, two passengers, one man and one woman, exit the car and approach the cyclist. The woman helps the cyclist, a 41-year-old man named Yu Haiming, move his electric bike to the sidewalk. After talking for a time, the two head back to the BMW. However, it’s then that the driver, a 36-year-old man named Liu Hailong, storms out of the vehicle and heads straight for Yu. Though the male passenger tries to hold him back, Liu continues to try to attack Yu. Eventually, Liu returns to his car and reemerges with a machete. This time, the passenger does not try to get in the way as Liu rushes at Yu and takes a number of swipes. Yu holds his ground long enough for the machete to get knocked out of Liu’s hand, falling on the road. The two men both scramble to pick up the weapon, however, it is Yu that gets to it first. With the machete in hand, Yu is able to throw Liu to the ground and stab once at his stomach. Liu then gets up and tries to run back to his car. Yu chases him, slashing at his opponent at least another four times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cn9_KCPfQPs https://shanghai.ist/2018/09/03/man-who-stabbed-bmw-driver-to-death-in-viral-road-rage-incident-ruled-to-have-acted-in-self-defense/ I say justified because it was unprovoked. Who goes around carrying a machete in the car too?

A warden with Singapore's Changi Prison died after he was ambushed and stabbed outside a pub here. The 43-year-old man, identified only as Ravi, and a friend were attacked when they exited a popular entertainment outlet along Jalan Melodies Merah in Taman Melodies at around 5am on Sunday. Ravi died after he was stabbed three times by several men who cornered him and his friend M. Gunaseelan, 29. Gunaseelan, who managed to escape, said they tried to run in different directions upon seeing the men armed with knives coming towards them. He said two men chased and punched him while the others went after Ravi and stabbed him. "I threw my wallet with RM700 inside at them and asked them not to hurt me further," said Gunaseelan, who works as a baker in Singapore. "When I turned to look at Ravi, he was already lifeless," he said. He added that Ravi, a Singapore permanent resident, left behind a 39-year-old wife and a three-year-old daughter. Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Zainuddin Yaacob said the attack was a result of a misunderstanding after the victim brought beverages from outside into the entertainment premises. He said an argument ensued, which led to a fight outside. Those with information can call the police hotline at 07-2212 999 or head to the nearest police station. Why SG kids so violent these days ? Lack of parenting ? Wrong priorities in our society ? Man stabbed in row with love rival at void deck Mr Goh showing the injuries he suffered in the knife attack. -- PHOTO: COURTESY OF HENDRIX GOH A HAWKER'S assistant told The Straits Times on Tuesday how he was stabbed by a love rival at the void deck of a block of flats. Mr Hendrix Goh, 25, said the 19-year-old, who had once dated his girlfriend, knifed him in the collarbone, left arm and back. He said he was hospitalised for a week after the incident in Bedok North earlier this month. The youth is understood to have been arrested. Mr Goh said he was walking to get a taxi with his girlfriend and two other friends after having supper at a hawker centre when the suspect called to say that he wanted to come and return the girl's phone. When he arrived, he asked to speak to Mr Goh privately. Then, Mr Goh said, the youth took out a jack-knife from his pocket and slashed his cheek. He said his girlfriend ran forward to help, but the youth pushed her away. A tussle broke out, during which Mr Goh was stabbed. http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/S...ory_680114.html

This year like alot of violent murders... :( http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/S...ory_582113.html A WOMAN was stabbed to death on her way home after dropping her nephew at a neighbouring block in Woodlands Drive on Wednesday night. She was found with stab wounds on her upper body at a basketball court near Block 895C on Woodlands Drive 50. Police, who received a call at 10.55pm, said paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. The victim, identified as Madam Hoe Hong Lin, 32, was a Singapore Permanent Resident from Malaysia, and had lived here with her husband, Mr Ng Kak Joo, 39, also a PR, for about 20 years. They have two children, aged 10 and six. Mr Ng, who works in the construction sector, said he and his wife had brought their elder son to join other residents in a mid-Autumn lantern procession held at their block earlier on Wednesday evening. Also with them was their nephew - son of Madam Hoe's sister who lives in a neighbouring block. After the celebration ended, Madam Hoe walked her nephew back to his flat and on the way back to her own home, she was stabbed. Mr Ng said when she was still not back after a while, he called her on her mobile but there was no response. He then asked his son to go look for her. The son returned shortly to say that police had cordoned off the basketball court where a body was found. 'I was hoping it would not be my wife,' he told reporters at his flat in Block 898B, about 200 metres away from where his wife was killed. His worst fears were confirmed shortly later. He described his wife as a 'cheerful woman with no enemies.' Police are investigating the case as murder. Anyone with information on the case is requested to call the police hotline at 1800-255-0000.
