  1. This apology is prompt. At least he did not say "people can use another bank, it is whether they choose to..” DBS CEO Piyush Gupta says sorry for ATM fraud. Speaking at a DBS Private Banking event today, Mr Gupta added that the bank regrets the anxiety and inconvenience caused. Mr Gupta said he is happy with the bank's reaction to the crisis and that they were able to identify the affected ATMs and customers very quickly. He has pledged to "stay ahead of the hackers" and assured customers that their deposits are safe. Source: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1176099/1/.html
  2. Can't think of any nice words for this beast 畜生. http://www.tnp.sg/news/world-news/man-kills-daughter-3-months-after-winning-custody MAN KILLS DAUGHTER 3 MONTHS AFTER WINNING CUSTODY 6563 May 17, 2015 5:08pm He was happy to win custody of his four-year-old daughter. But three months later, Alexa-Marie Quinn was dead. It turned out her father Carl Wheatley, 31, had savagely beaten her to death. Other shocking details also emerged: Wheatley had wanted her so he would get more money. Earlier, the supermarket worker had bragged to a colleague about the increased benefits he would get if he won custody over one of his four children, such as a two-bedroom house and £1,700 ($3,530). He broke her teeth, then searched for glue When police discovered the girl's body on March 12 last year, Alexa-Marie was riddled with 66 different injuries. They concluded she had died from extreme blunt-force trauma. Wheatley, from Hertfordshire in southern England, had called the police on the morning of the fatal attack, after Alex-Marie was dead for several hours. The court heard he tried to conceal Alexa-Marie's injuries, going on the Internet to search on "how to reduce swelling" and "what glue can I use to put teeth back in". He pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denied murdering his daughter. Sadistic attack While psychiatrists said that Wheatley suffered from several mental health disorders, the judge described Wheatley's "final and fatal" attack on Alexa-Marie as "relentless and sadistic and to a horrifying degree". Wheatley was sentenced to life imprisonment and will only be considered for release after 21 years. - See more at: http://www.tnp.sg/news/world-news/man-kills-daughter-3-months-after-winning-custody#sthash.N4AXscxj.dpuf
  3. It sound really easy but if you really think about it, it is pretty challenging to show a gesture that can be recognise within a quick glance. I got into this situation where I wanted to filter left to the inner lane. I flick my signal left and moved my car slightly almost instantly. I strongly believe I am still within my lane. Unfortunately, there is this bike which was very close to me. I think I scared and angry him that he swerve away slightly while keep revving his bike to show his displease. Even though I don't think I am completely in the wrong, I gesture to him to acknowledge and that I'm sorry by lifting my hand, palm facing him, just like how people show thank you acknowledgement. I think because he need to lookout for traffic as well, he did really catch what message I am trying to pass thru. I believe he thought I am showing some gesture to taunt him which is why trigger his latter action. When he got a clear path ahead in his lane, he turned to me and point me his middle finger while speeding away. His action doesn't really anger me much but kinda amuse me. No need to explain why. Anyway, how do you give an apologetic gesture? The usual 'saluting' like gesture requires long attention span to really know that you are apologising.

  9. Last weekend i nearly had a accident. I was driving along west coast road....there is this section where the 2-lane road merges into 1 lane. I was driving along this section with no cars in front of me or beside me. As the lanes merge into 1, this bmw 3 series sped past me. The roads where narrowing and he sped past me with only inches to spare between our cars. I was taken aback. Just a few more centimeters and his car would have scraped the entire left side of my car. I strucked my horn. It was a quick tap (defintely not a loud one) and then he immedately jam braked. Forturnately, my speed was low enough for me to break in time. I was really furious. We then both continued to drive on. Just less than a minute later, this bmw stopped at the traffic light. I stopped by his left. I raised my hand and mouth "whats this !?!". He wound down his window and i did likewise. He had 2 children and wife with him. I immediately asked "do you know you nearly hit my car?" He: So? Sue me la...(smiling non stop) I: I was infront and cant you wait a few seconds? He: So? I like wat (smiling). I: F you la... He: So? My driving style wat....he continued laughing and smiling. I was very furious. No matter what i said, he will continue to smile at me, thinking he was "won". I turned to his primary school daughter and said, "you look very ugly, you need to do some plastic surgery otherwise no guy will ever like you. This time, he was furious and hurled vulgarities back at me non stop. Asking me to come down. I smiled and drove off. Even though i should be sorry but i am not.

Was driving down Orchard road just now at about 10.30pm, Was next to the bus lane and wanted to overtake this slow moving Honda Jazz in front of me, when the next lane was clear, I tried to signal to turn right but finger slip and turned OFF headlights and cut right instead! I did quickly turn on my headlights back, sped up and cut back into my original lane in front of the Jazz, But to the car behind who high beamed me, SORRY - I DESERVED IT! I must have looked like a blur c--k who turn off headlight and change lane at the same time. Sorry for driving like s--t, it was an honest mistake, let's move on?
