  1. Welcome to PW2 Teck Lee LRT station, the station that remained shut for more than 12 years since the Punggol LRT system opened in 2005. Situated on the west loop of the Punggol LRT, trains supposedly pass by this station without stopping, as seen in the video below. The station seems to be somewhat rundown — covered with dirt, looking fairly weathered. Even the map in the station is the really old version. I guess it will take another decade for the station to be opened https://mothership.sg/2017/12/teck-lee-lrt-not-open/

  3. Hi, I have a few occassions when the fan kept running after I had shut down the engine. The first time it happened, I just turned on the engine for 1 min to shift my car. When I shut it down, I can see the fan turning. I turn on and off the engine again and it was gone. The 2nd time happened when I was using the car battery (engine not on) to vacuum. After I shut everything down, the fan remained. After about 5 mins, it went off. The 3rd time happened when I shut down the engine and turned it on again after 2mins. I drove it for about 100m before shutting down. The fan remained and I had to restart the engine and shut down again. Anyone had similar experience? Is this normal? My MK6 Jetta is the non-sport version.
  4. Hi guys! I am driving a 07' Latio. My aircon been making a hissing noise for awhile, went to workshop, change my cooling coil and all is great. 9. Samir Nasri saga .................. ESPN latest : Nasri lured to City by Vieira Manchester City newcomer Samir Nasri has revealed former Arsenal talisman Patrick Vieira helped lure the livewire midfielder to Eastlands. Nasri completed his protracted move to City on Wednesday after speaking on a regular basis with Vieira - now City's football development executive - and took the opportunity in his first interview after making the switch to take a swipe at the Gunners' faithful. "I'm here to play football and to enjoy it and win titles," Nasri told City's official website. "I spoke to Patrick Vieira about the move as it was important to get advice from players who played for the club know the club very well. Vieira said City is the place to be. It is the club of the future, they want to win everything. They have a big, big, big project. "I can see [Manchester City fans] are really passionate and it reminds me a little bit of Marseille. "Arsenal have good fans but not that passionate since they moved from Highbury to the Emirates. I remember when we played against City, when we lost 3-0, the crowd was amazing. "That is what I want. When you play football it is for a good atmosphere." "It is a big relief, it was a long negotiation and discussion between the two clubs. Finally I am a City player and that is what I wanted since the start, so I am really happy. "I was a little bit frustrated, I said to the manager I wanted to leave. I wanted to do the pre-season with Manchester so I could know a little bit more about my team-mates. "It was frustrating but it is a new start and I am looking forward to doing it," Nasri said. Just wait when Arsenal meet ManC at Emirates ... Arsenal fan will boo until their throats burst .....

  11. Nothing good comes out from his bloody mouth! Whenever he wants to put a point across, he will compare Singapore malays whom he claimed are "marginalised" against the Malaysian Malays who find it hard to put food on the table. Maybe the Singapore Malay he knows are those in the 1950s. That shows that his mind is still struck in the 1950s. I was at Giant in JB. Spotted a group of well-dressed Malays buying up everything and the cashier was full of their stuff..spent at least RM 300. My friend told me, :" aiyah cant be local malays lah. You think the Malays here so rich can spend rm300+ at one shot? One person got S$400 a month salary steal laugh already lor! Its only those malays from Singapore who can do this" True. You see the malays here spending like Kings up north. You never see the bumis from north coming down to spend like Kings down south. Dr M warns Malays against S'pore fate Tue, Jun 15, 2010 my paper MALAYSIA'S former premier, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, on Sunday warned his country's majority Malays that they are at risk of suffering the fate of their ethnic cousins in Singapore - who are a minority not protected by the Government, he said. Tun Dr Mahathir was speaking at a Melayu Bangkit (Malays Arise) rally in Kuala Terengganu, reported news portal Malaysiakini. He lamented the fact that the Malays had divided their political support between the ruling coalition and opposition parties, calling it a "dangerous precedent" and saying that he did not think Malays could thrive in a pure meritocracy. "If we don't act rationally, one day we will be like the Malays in Singapore - a people who are truly powerless. So, they have to bow down to another race," said the former premier.
  12. One of my current car is a CNG car purchased from one of the "biggest" PI in Singapore. They also got their own workshop in Sin Ming. I will do my servicing regularly with them every 10,000km because mine is a CNG car and most of the time when I service outside, my car engine light will light up and I will need to drive back to this PI workshop to tune it ( and waste my time; imagine gota drive to and fro every 10,000km and sometimes they cant fix it on first attempt ) I was horrified when I called up the workshop to book an appt last monday when my 10000km mark is breached. Nobody answered my call for the whole day despite me calling 12-15 times. Next two days, I called and someone picked up and said they shifting to paya lebar. When? "soon" is the answer and kept asking me to call back. I call back 2 days later and they still say call back next week. Cmon, my car is CNG and I only CAN go to your workshop to service. I have breached the 12000km mark ( exceeed 2000km ) and now no one can give me an anwer and I cant cabut to another workshop. How can conduct business like that??? If anything happens to my CNG now, who is going to help? I called up other CNG workshop and they said cannot do anything as the installer is not them. And this workshop got one stupid policy. Lunchtime, they close down for 1-2 whole hour. Say 1pm-2pm lunch time, everyone MIA for lunch. So if your car reach there at 10am and by 1pm still not done yet, sorry u surely gota wait till after 2pm to collect your car. I understand the need to have lunch time for everyone but dont they understand how to plan shifts??? Seriously getting too arrogant this company.
  13. British mag Auto Express is reporting that Daimler executives have a plan in place to close the door on Maybach. The ultra-luxury brand, purchased by Daimler-Benz in 1960, was restarted as an automotive brand in 2002 following the 1997 introduction of the Mercedes-Benz Maybach concept in Tokyo. Maybach was founded as a heavy-duty engine production company in 1909 by Wilhelm Maybach, a former technical director at Daimler. The company's first concept car debuted in 1919, and began assembly of extravagant vehicles two years later. The company halted automotive production in 1940, when they began building engines for German tanks in World War II. Car manufacture stalled for 60 years. Sales at Maybach have flatlined since 2007, and were made worse by the global economic downturn. Further, Daimler may be looking to block Maybach from cannibalizing sales within their house brand, as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is scheduled for release in 2014. The S-Class is set to be a top-shelf car with an impressive touch screen that lets the user control most interior functions with hand gestures. As we previously reported, Maybach's short-term plans include a facelift only, and no new engines. A redesign will include LED daytime lights, new grille, freshened bumper, and a hood with a new look. The facelifted Maybach could get a debut in April at the Beijing Auto Show.

  18. Found this article in MSN. City decides to shut down "effective" speed cams because they are not raking in enough revenue. What appears to be a control mechanism turned out to be a revenue generating machine. So do our govt have the same mindset too? Do red light cameras work too well? Some cities rethink devices as drivers pay heed, reducing fine revenue By Alex Johnson Reporter updated 2:12 a.m. ET March 21, 2008 Last week, Dallas officials reviewed the numbers and decided that a quarter of the cameras they had installed to catch motorists running red lights were too effective. So they shut them down. They are not alone. Faced with data showing that drivers pay attention to cameras at intersections
