  10. The Spanish cousin of the VW Golf is set to adopt a version of the dashboard first seen on the Cupra Formentor concept, featuring a tablet-like touchscreen display on top of the central air vents and a raised center console. The infotainment system will be all-new and will support over-the-air updates. The test car was fitted with an automatic transmission and featured a stubby gear selector between the seats, reminding us of the lever Porsche is using on the new 911. VW Group’s digital instrument cluster will also be present, at least on the more well-equipped models of the range. The next-generation Seat Leon rides on the updated MQB architecture and will become available with new 48-volt mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, in addition to more efficient versions of the existing TSI and TDI engines. The three-door bodystyle will be ditched, leaving only the five-door hatch and wagon models in the range. The range-topping Cupra Leon is also rumored to adopt not one but two powertrain options; the first one will be an all-new plug-in hybrid with 242hp (245PS) and an EV range of up to 31 miles (50km), while the second one will use the turbocharged 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder engine with around 300hp.

  12. Hi all, i need a good recommendation for a baby car seat. My baby is now 4 months old and weighs about 6.5kg. What do you suggest? Thank you!
  13. The Cupra Ateca is a practical SUV with the 300hp engine and four-wheel-system from the fiendishly quick SEAT Leon Cupra 300. As a result of this SEAT connection, you’re probably wondering ‘what’s happened to the SEAT badge?’ Well, it’s gone – Cupra is SEAT’s new performance sub-brand and the Cupra Ateca the first in a line of cars that will wear that badge. To help your mind separate Ateca from Cupra Ateca, the latter has been given the new badge plus the full treatment from the accessories catalogue. As a result, you get huge 19-inch alloy wheels, a body kit, a quad exhaust system and LED headlights. The result is a car with purposeful styling, although the unfamiliar badge makes it look like the creation of a tuning house rather than a mainstream car. Some will like that, others won’t. The changes inside are more subtle, but you get body-hugging sports seats (complete with questionable looking carbon fibre vinyl bolsters) some Cupra badges and more fake-looking carbon fibre trim on the dashboard. Sadly, it’s not enough to redress the gloomy, almost exclusively jet-black cabin plastics that make the interior feel a little too dowdy for a genuinely sporty car like this. https://www.cupraofficial.com/ Even the presenter in the video finds the CUPRA branding confusing So as some may know i am on the look out for an SUV type of car, you can also call it window shopping maybe will buy maybe not. Went to the Singapore Motorshow. Viewed the Venue and Seltos but left pretty much disappointed/underwhelmed/unimpressed (for a lack of better word) with the Venue. Too basic too funky. Maybe my taste will change in future but dunno. So now i'm back to square one. and then I found the CUPRA Ateca. but i understand it's not even launched yet. Did some searches on the forum and found info of the CUPRA inside the SEAT thread but it was somewhere in the middle and images all cant view. the CUPRA Ateca looks gd! i'm unfamiliar with the SEAT brand. been to the showroom once. but confused with the branding. is this a SEAT or not? saw some websites stating its a SEAT Ateca Cupra. confusing enough. opening this thread here for bros who are potentially looking for an SUV in the near future!
  14. Noticed that the golf and leon have weird sitting positions. The steering wheel feels off centered. Can the drivers of these makes confirm. Of is it just me? Also noticed that the leg room on the passenger side feels bigger then the driver's side. Weird. Maybe it's because of my height? 179cm? Any other makes have this issue?
  15. Was quoted 1.8k to redo car seat upholstery. Full grained leather. What is full grained leather? Is it good?
  16. Now this can be a scary sight for those living close to the incident. A Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid taxi has apparently caught fire caught fire in an open air carpark at Block 201 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 on 18 September. As reported by Stomp, flames and smoke can be seen engulfing a black car (likely a Seat SUV) and nearly catching a Toyota Hiace van that narrowly managed to escape. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were alerted to the fire at 10.55pm and they managed to "extinguish the fire using one water jet and three compressed air foam backpacks," said an SCDF spokesman. The cause of fire is under investigation and no injuries have been reported.

  18. As seen on ROAD.sg, a red Volkswagen Scirocco has rear ended a SEAT Leon Cupra at the junction of the KJE exit to Woodland Road. The accident happened a while ago on 3rd of April but only started getting viral recently as the Scirocco owner shared the video on a private whatsapp group chat (We have no idea why he/she would do this). Thankfully, this is no serious accident despite the camera car obviously speeding along the KJE exit before filtering into Woodlands road. Sharp viewers of the video would also notice from the car's exhaust note that the accelerator was being pressed to overtake the bus at the 11-second mark. But then again, it did look like the Scirocco could stop in time but chose to not come to a complete stop while checking for vehicles on Woodlands road... Check out the video below. Is this a case of bad luck and/or bad judgement from Volkswagen driver who actually could stop in time or a case of speeding and reckless driving from both drivers? Let us know what you think in the comments below. vid.mp4
  19. We can all agree on one thing; it is important to have seat comfort in your car! Just think about it this way: when you drive, you're spending all the time in your car seat, so that car seat has to be comfortable and suitable for you. However, when choosing a car seat, there are several choices you can make. Leather or fabric car seats are the most popular choices. Anyhow, the real question here is ' ' Are car seats in leather better than fabric '? ' And, we're here to discuss all of this. So, let's no longer waste time and get straight to business. Let's see the leather and fabric car seats ' advantages and disadvantages. I prefer fabric seats myself as it is not as hot as leather. But the thing about fabric is that it gets dusty very quickly. So usually I will standby a magic clean duster to dust away from the dust.
  20. Anyone keen in this Seat Ibiza 1.4 Cupra Bocanegra? Looks nice and fierce from the front. Really 1 and only one driving it here. http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/newcars_...p?CarCode=11058
  21. SUVs are all the rage now, but the Seat Tarraco isn't your typical run-of-the-mill SUV. Can you guess what James thinks of this car's looks just from this shot alone? Of course, no self respecting SUV can get away without good boot space for the entire family, and the Tarraco does not disappoint. But what's this? It seems like there's more! But also check out how hot and sweaty James gets in the third-row! Looks like its ditto for Jon's walkthrough of the front... So what do they think of the car? Watch the full video below to find out! But as an extra treat, we have also gathered a special promotion for our viewers, you'll want to watch to the end to find out how to participate! Leave a like, a comment, and subscribe. You know the drill.
  22. Seat has named their supermini offering after the renowned holiday destination hoping to capture some of that youthful and carefree spirit, and for the most part, I dare say they have been largely successful. For those thinking that the new Honda Jazz looks a little too cutsey for their taste, the Seat Ibiza rightly should be more than the next alternative in the practical small hatchback segment. It packs a 355 litre boot, and the rear seats provide plenty of knee room even for someone of my height. Sharp lines and an appealing angular design, coupled with a beautiful font for both the central infotainment and the driver's instrument cluster round off the supermini package. And speaking of packages, this Ibiza I tested was a top-spec (locally at least) Style Plus model, meaning it now gets additional tech features including adaptive cruise control, tiredness recognition, and keyless access. Yare yare. All you really need to know is that this is a $92,999 (as of 31 October 2019) car that packs a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder delivering 114bhp and 200Nm. For context, that's practically as much torque as you get in the larger 1.4-litre Volkswagen Golf. And boy does that seven-speed DSG make use of that torque. Day-to-day driving will see the dual-clutch shifting gears at the earliest opportunity, meaning that you get a fuel consumption of 14.7km/L, which is nice, but flog the pedal and the car switches instantly out of siesta mode, sending you away. The three-cylinder's thrummy noises switch into something addictively snarly, and being in something so small makes that zero to 100km/h figure of 9.5 seconds feel conservative. Readers of my stuff elsewhere will know I was an absolute fan of the old Audi A1, but this car just feels so much more nimble. The light but communicative steering makes it feel like you can chuck it into corners with near reckless abandon, and the car swallows directional changes with much aplomb, but the new MQB A0 platform also adds to the Ibiza's suite far greater highway sovereignty. Sound insulation feels like a class above and the car suffers none of that nervousness other cars in the segment can be prone to at high speeds. Just how exactly has Seat managed to make the Ibiza feel so chuck-able in the twisites yet so mature at the straights is genuinely astounding, especially when you consider that this car makes do with only a semi-rigid rear suspension. So there has to be some catch right? Well, unfortunately, yes. The Volkswagen Group's brand positioning becomes apparent when you knock on the door cards, which sound definitively hollow, and that DSG I mentioned earlier can be over eager to switch into the taller gears when doing gentle cruises, leading to some uncouth vibrations transmitting into the cabin. Shoppers looking for a mature, grown-up supermini ought rightly to look at the Volkswagen Polo or the Skoda Scala. But who really gives a toss about little niggles like that. The Ibiza is bleedingly fun to drive and (I suspect) own. Adaptive cruise control and tiredness recognition in a car this fun? Obviously someone out there hasn't been taking their pills. Just like Mike Posner on his holiday trips, why not choose to do something fun once a while? Make this car your trip. Live life on the fun side. Opt for horsepower just once. Buy this. New SEAT Toledo!

New SEAT Toledo Text & photos courtesy SEAT S.A. edited 07-22-2004 [/size]A new saloon concept Only two months after its introduction as a prototype at the Madrid Motor Show, the new Toledo is already a reality. With it, SEAT redefines the classical saloon concept to offer more versatility, functionality, and unprecedented spaciousness for an automobile of this class. The third Toledo generation retains the essence of its predecessors, combining the notchback concept of the current model (launched in 1998) with the rear hatch of the first Toledo (1991). All moreover without giving up one of the most appealing features for Toledo users: a large volume boot. The new Toledo will be introduced next September at the International Automobile Salon in Paris. And it will be launched on the market before the end of the year. Due to its size, features and versatility, the second model of the
  24. Dear all, Recently I had poured an almost full cup of sugary drink into one of my leather chair. Because the leather was perforated and had mini holes, most of the drink went inside to the car seat foam under the leather. I cleaned what I could with the leather and went for some chemical cleaning. But how to treat the foam inside? What other methods are there besides steam cleaning? Thanks
