  1. Hello all! I'm having a dillema here. So i bought Phoenix rh rak two piece rims, and decided that i want to powder paint them. To do that, i had to get all the bolts around the rims out, and i of course messed some of them up. Now searching for new ones, i cant seem to understand which ones i need. The original screws were screwed out with an M8 spline bit, but on a site i found, it says that phoenix rims use M7 bolts and most of what i can find on alibaba is M7 size too. Also, a hex M8 screw had a noticeably larger diameter then the M8(?) spline screw... i really have no idea what i need
  2. As above. Any idea where such an adaptor can be found locally?
  3. Hihi, see these 6-edge star screws in the attached pic, it's at the B-Pillar to hold the mechanism for the lock on the car door to latch. It's now loose, any ideas where to get such screw drivers? Or if most workshops will have the screws to help screw back?
  4. HI all, Its time of the year for me to change my tyre as front 2 gg botak soon. My ride is 2009 Suzuki Swift sport. Tyre size should be 195/50R16. currently using Hanhook Ventus S1 Evo 205/45R16. May i know if the tyre size matters alot if i continue to use 205/45R16? or is it recommended to use back 195/50R16. I remembered that I had used this 205/45 because 195/50 hard to find in market. Any good tyre to use? No tracking, just spirited driving in Singapore and this S1 Evo saved my life 1 month ago during raining days in Lornie Road when 1 idiot make a sudden U-turn. Lastly, The screw track of my wheel( the one that is used to screw the rim to the car) is spoil. May i know where can i change it? Thank you everyone!
  5. This kind of thing can patent? See the news below: SINGAPORE: Singapore-based IIa Technologies has found a way to grow diamonds on a commercially-viable scale after eight years of research. The development presents new opportunities for high-tech industries, scientific institutions and laboratories. Currently, industrial diamonds have a variety of applications, including in the electronics and semiconductor packaging, precision cutting and aerospace industries. The gem is the hardest known natural material. It is used to cut and polish any other material, including other diamonds. IIa Technologies believes there will be more applications for these diamonds. It sees growth in the quantum computing field, where diamonds are used to store data. Vishal Mehta, managing director at IIa Technologies, said: "This is something that has had a lot of research done. This will create a new technology that will be able to store data in a very small amount of space." IIa Technologies has started growing diamonds in Singapore since the beginning of last year. The company's plant is one of the biggest environmentally sustainable diamond growing facilities in the world. - CNA/xq
  6. Hi, Just wondering if anyone has any idea what is a better alternative for a 5-day roadtrip in California. Had earlier planned a stay in Yosemite National Park but that plan was nullified by the hantavirus in the region. I am staying around the Bay Area. Another plan to drive north to Lassen Volcanic Park is dependant on the raging forest fires around the park. Does anyone has any suggestion of an alternative plan? Thanks.

  10. hi everyone, Raining this few week has cause the screw to turn rusty at the tail light area. Anyone know how u treat this? Afraid it will gana the paintwork.
  11. Yesterday I was doing my usual check on the car before driving off when I saw a screw embedded in my rear tyre. dunno if i'm suay or what, but this is the second time in 6 months. The last time I got a screw in my tyre, I gong-gong went to remove it without much thought. And once I removed it, I could hear the air leaking from my tyre, and it become flat in no time. Ended up having to change to a spare tyre in the car park before I could drive my car to a tyre shop. So this time, I'm wondering, apart from removing the screw, any way to check if the screw is embedded deep enough to cause an inflated tyre? if removing the screw is the only way to check, then i guess the safe way is to drive to a tyre shop first before removing the screw? can save the trouble to changing to spare tyre if indeed there is a flat tyre. Also, would there be any problem in leaving the screw in the tyre until the weekend before doing anything about it?
  12. hi guys, I need some advice from you guys. Fedex made a screw up and this is having a major effect on my business. here's the info: I'm a very small company manufacturing/ selling products related to car audio ( some of you guys here know me personally or some of u guys have my products in your car). Now, my main market is overseas as singapore is just too small and i've succeeded in expanding overseas. To make my brand bigger, i've successfully managed to sponsor a very famous person in my industry. Basically he is a world champion and world record holder in my industry and he will be endorsing my product and brand. He is highly respected and basically, he is the champion in the competition scene. At the end of May, when we finalised the endorsement deal, I sent up around 60kg worth of product to him via Fedex. I usually use Singpost EMS, but this being important, i rather pay premium and use Fedex. Now, goods went out rough 29th May and reach the destination country ( Brazil) on the 1st of June and customs were processing it on the 2nd June. Brazilian customs are a**holes and usually take 2 weeks to process. on the 3rd week of June, I heard nothing and got my guys in Brazil to check things out. I later found out my goods were confiscated by customs as they were deemed " for resale value". At no time did Fedex bother to call me up and tell me whats going on. On further probing, I was later told to hire my own customs broker to clear the goods in Brazil. I had my guys in Brazil on standby with the broker to clear the goods. The broker has personally been down to the Fedex Office in brazil to try and clear the goods but he is unable to do it as he does not have the paper work. They ( my guys in Brazil)have been chasing Fedex through the month of July. Come early August, my guys in Brazil have exhausted all their means to get my goods and told me to do something. I called Fedex Singapore, only to learn that they were seriously " back dated", telling me to hire my own customs broker to clear the goods. i blasted the hell out of them all and was finally referred to their manager and I finally got the update on the info: my goods are with the Brazilian customs. The paper work for the goods are also with the customs. Only Fedex Brazil can take back the paper work from the customs as my broker is not authorised to. We got the number of the clearance manager in Brazil ( fedex) but my guys there still cant get hold of him. Now my sponsor guy is considering dropping my brand due to this issue and i'm gonna be in BIG SH1T for this. Basically, imagine if you manufacture engines and u get Lewis Hamilton to endorse your products, only to have fedex screw thins up for u. I'm at my wits end, Fedex Main office is in KL. Anyone here knows anyway how to help me out. I'm short of going to the media with this as this is seriously causing big problems for my business. Thanks in advance guys Cheers
  13. <Screw you> You filtered into my 2nd lane from your 1st lane even though I am just beside you. The loud horn apparently did not stop you from filtering into me. Maybe your sound proof is so steady. Luckily there was no car on the 3rd lane where swayed in dangerously to avoid you. When I confronted you by winding down my window, you simply ignored by looking away. But at least your wife bothere to look at me with a nasty look. Apparently she did not know what happened during that heart pounding 3-5 seconds. Drive responsibly like a man. If I had not acted fast, my family of 3 could have hounted you from the afterworld. Although I do not reveal your number plate, please don't drive that fast next time outside causeway point... there are lots of people walking along side. Lastly, please crash if you have to. I really wish so. But please do not implicate other people. </Screw you>
