A car caught fire at the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) Saturday afternoon. The car, believed to be a black Lexus sports model, was near the PIE Clementi Road exit in the Tuas to Changi direction. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call at about 3.10pm concerning a vehicle on fire at the expressway. It sent a fire engine and a red Rhino to the scene, and firemen extinguished the fire with one water jet. SCDF said no one was injured. Investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. The Lexus SC430 is scheduled for a facelift in 2006. Looks pretty much the same to me. Never really found it appealing. Not about to change my mind.
