does anyone knows which workshop replace car door rubber seal? and est how much? i am not referring to those add-on silent rubber seal...but the existing car doors rubber seals.. thanks

just realised that my driveshaft rubber boot was broken and will get the boot to be replace this weekend. need some advise from the members who experience such work before. do you see the mech remove the old grease and clean the joint before putting new grease? how did they clean the old grease? using karosene/diesel? I remember when i replace the driveshaft boot cover for my elantra last time, the workshop simply try to utilise back the old grease and add some red grease into the rubber boot which i dont think its advisable.... any advise?

Hey guys I looked through some of the older posts but couldnt find any info on the "hard rubber" type mats. I remember my college room mate had these in his car (not sure if it was because of the the winter weather). anyway, noticed most of the car mats are the 3M nomad type (or the "frilly" / soft type for trapping dirt) however .. i find that they always wear out extremely fast (my car came with carbon fibre ones, but my shoes have worn out the CF plate >< ) also, any recommendations for a decent vacuum? or should i just buy a generic one (gf freaked out today when a bug was found in the car .. so i think i need to start vacuuming ...) appreciate the help!

Hi guys, wanna check is there any workshop that can install new rubber seals outside the doors' windows? today i go car wash inside kena abit wet.. i suspect is the rubber seal.. and i see some of the rubber are coming off too.. any recommended workshop to rectify the problem or i can buy the seals at stockists and go to workshop to do? what would be e price range? thanks in advance!!!

I just realized the rubber cover of the rear absorber has disintegrated . Will it create any problem,? Need to replace?

As topic, anyone have any good details products, method to give the exterior rubber/plastic on exterior, like the door seals, the black plastic holding the side mirror & the black plastic at the B pillars a glossy feel. I tried those for interior plastic, but it worn out fast, & burry after rain. Some of these are getting dull & got white-ish powdery look liao.

Hi guys, I need advise from u guys on how to remove rubber smell inside my car. Few months back, i brought a new set of 3A carpet for my car but the problem is, i couldn't remove the rubber smell from the carpets. I tried a few ways but still couldn't help. I had tried buying those air-con cleaner selling at esso which come in green or yellow can oso useless. I even brought a few type of air-freshers to cover up the smell but it only last for the first few days den the smell reuturn again. I had oso tried soaking the carpets with car shampoo oso couldn't help!! I thought the smell will go out itself after a few months of usage but i'm wrong.. Anyone of ur has the similar type of carpets n share the same experience? How do u guys remove the rubber smell permanent? The smell is kinda strong when u haf park ur car overnight but the smell will go off when u start driving..

Now then i see and i know after distributing this dg for so many years and i always wonder why my customers say how good it is..good as in? Easy to use or protect? Only until yesterday during a weekly routine wash..wax etc..i found out why..i always see something like gel on the bottle cap.. Abit elastic but not sticky like this once dry.. When i started applying dg271 on trims..i see the similar like rubber gel peeling off from the trim as i reapply it.. Looks like is forming a layer of gel on the trimmings against from cracking and drying

Hey guys, I noticed that my rubber roof strip is petruding out. There's some pink plastic(maybe the hook?) underneath it which i think it's broken. So now one side of the strip comes off easily, and i have to keep pressing it. Anybody knows what to do, or any shops to recommend where they can replace the broken pink plastic or at least keep it from popping out? Thanks

Any Sunny owner has dropped the rubber thing? I was quoted $2xx by tan chong. Whenever goes over hump, there is a click-clok sound. Any recommended place to install the rubber mounting?

Hi Guys. HELP !!!! My Octy A4's antenna is crumbling... The rubber/plastic moulding that encases the base of the antenna has hardened and cracked. Now bits and pieces have fallen off. I tried to unscrew it and hopefully have it replaced by some cheapo 3rd party type. But after unscrewing fully, I realised that there is a ball knob at the base that prevents the antenna mast fully coming out from the mounting on the car roof. Sent my car in to Servo and asked for the replacement. But was told that it cannot be removed and must be sawed off at the screw thread part before it can be replaced with a 3rd party one. But reception might be poor. So now my antenna has all the rubber bits fallen off and it is thin and looks like a metal spring.... Hoping that you guys here can have some idea on what I can do..... Help ???

Hi Bros, Few days ago, I found that some of the external rubber parts on my Toyota Fielder was stolen. One was at the front windscreen wiper panel, the other was my rear wiper arm cover. I called the stockists and found that for the front wiper panel, its sold as a complete set, they don't sell the corner rubber. For the rear wiper arm, they sell the whole arm, and not the cover. Need some help to see if anyone knows of any scrapyards specializing in Toyota Axio / Fielder. Some ppl I asked just said "Woodlands" but when I asked them where exactly, no one knows. Woodlands is very big... I know of a few scrapyards near Gambas ave and will probably try to find them.
