One Giulia was wheeled off like an A&E casualty after the infotainment system failed. Another I drove had an engine warning light screaming for attention from the instrument binnacle, and the cruise control refused to switch on. A third car tested suffered a frozen infotainment system, which could only be brought back to life by stopping the car and switching the ignition off and back on, and at times some air vents stopped blowing air whilst others continued. One colleague suffered jammed parking sensors, so they drove around with the car going “beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep”.

Hi guys seeking help here for some issues for my ride. Assuming the car has been warmed up after a 45min drive. - approaching traffic light RPM seems to decrease to about 400-500. Engine vibrates but not violently.however it did not stall once. Once coming to a stand still RPM will hover around 600 rpm. Slight vibration felt but car did not stall. All these is when the vehicle is in D mode. - idle in P or N mode have a very slight vibration that seems normal. Around 700-800rpm. Vibration is definitely much lesser than in D mode. - When engaged in R mode. The vehicle will jerk and rpm drops to 600. It reverses normally. No need to step on the gas however vibration can be clearly felt Servicing has been done recently New oil for both engine and transmission New coolant New spark plug New MAF sensor Last but not least. I've recently bought this ride from a used car dealer. Everything was fine, except for this intermittent problem, The car would ride fine most of the time. Accelerating and braking wouldn't give me much issues.. This intermittent problem would hit me usually when crusing at 80 - 90 km/h. The car would suddenly have this loud shuddering noise, the whole car would vibrate, and when i accelerate, i can't gain much speed, its like the car is braking itself. When I let go off the accelerator pedal, the speed would reduce drastically. On highways, this is a total nightmare. I'm at a loss, as when I bring it into workshops. The problem doesn't replicate itself. Its really intermittent, can happen any point of the day, during initial cold start, after driving for a while, ANYTIME! After i drive slow for about 2 - 5 minutes, it would go away itself... I'm suspecting a dirty ABS wheel sensor, reading that the wheel's speed is different, decides to brake itself.. Is that possible? But no ABS lights up when it happens.. No warning lights at all.. I'm writing in to the forum in hope that someone has experienced this problem and can advise.... Other then the above problem, sometimes when i step on brake, i have the pulsating feeling on brake paddel. Might have a warped rotor? But this too comes and goes.. Please help!

My PI quoted me $1450 for NTUC AFTER 40% NCD for this car. Sounds pretty high to me, is that right? It's a 1.8L WISH, FDM 2009 model. Tks.

Quite a lot of questions this time round on "what ifs?"... "What if Ah Loong loses?" Sharing some basic knowledge about the whole "democracy" in Singapore. Other more enlightened brothers feel free to chip in or correct any errors. _____________________________________________________________________ The whole process roughly goes like this: 1) PM proposes to the President to dissolve parliament. 2) President gives the go ahead and dissolves parliament. 3) Nominations of candidates. 4)Campaigning... Mudslinging... Character assassination... 5) Appointment of Prime Minister by President based on majority confidence in Parliament (typically the winning party with the most votes). ***so to answer most of the queries, Ah Loong can lose his position and still be appointed PM by Prataman. However if the other parties hold most of the seats in parliament, he will not be able to rubber stamp anything. 6) PM designates and appoints his own ministers. NMP or NCMP can be appointed as ministers technically, but they usually will at least be an MP since they are in the winning party. _____________________________________________________________________ We have 3 branches in goverment: 1) Executive - The cabinet of ministers, generally controls and holds most of the power in the government. They pass laws like 10% GST, etc... 2) Legislative - The MPs, they vote on bills, question the ministers, etc... 3) Judiciary - The legal branch, they interpret laws, pass judgements, set precedents, etc... No one is above the law and so on and forth... Theoretically, the 3 branches are able to check each others power and prevent abuses. However, some are more equal than others. _____________________________________________________________________ Even if PAP were to be totally voted out in the next GE, they will still exercise tremendous power via their statutory boards, civil & public service. The "Elected" President can also appoint alot of powerful positions, CDF, COA, Chief Justice, AG, CPIB Director, etc... unless overruled by at least two-third of Parliament. Oh, and who determines who is eligible for Presidency? The Presidential Elections Committee, comprising Chairman PSC, Chairman ACRA, a member of the Presidential Council for Minority Rights. Hi guys, After my recent servicing with a workshop, my car paint surface feels rough at many places, like very fine sandpaper. Originally it was very smooth and slick. Any idea what are those things on my car paint? Dust, metal particles? Can they be easily removed by Claybar? Or should i go back to the workshop and demand them to help me clean up? Should have done detailed inspection before i leave the workshop...

Hi, my friend got the bodykit spary painted at a shop. However after collecting his car door sloping side (top half) of the doors on the left feels rough caused by paint residue from the car sparying beside it. He have try Autoglxx Resin Polish or but could not solve the problem. Options: - Not sure to go back and pay the workshop to polish it away by G3 polish - orginial honda paint will be damage? - Or get some aftermarket polish...Pls recommend me what product to get to resolve the problem. In eithor case can it be resolve by polishing?

Hi guys Need some help and advise, today after washing my ride, I realise that the surface of my bonnet become very sandy and there is not way I can removed it using detailer and polish. I wonder what happen, can anyone advise me? Is there any treatment available to restore the smooth surface back?

Need some expert advice here. My old ride is recently giving me some rough idling. Normal idle at 900-1K rpm but occasionally will go up to 1.5K, then after a while the car will choke a bit and idle drops back. This situation is not consistent. I suspect it have something to do with fuel/air burning ratio not being consistent or Radiator not working 100%(causing a little bit of overheating), as this problem seems to surface when the engine is stressed. For eg, on steep roads, after running the highway, etc. Also on cold weather, the problem seems to occur less comparing to hot weather. The other reason could be my carb acting up. But anyway, if any bros have any good comments, pls voice out.

anyone of you experienced times when u accelerate n the engine juz does not moves as usual like extreme lack of power till a few sec later dan a sudden surge of power comes? It normaly happens to me in the 1st gear and the car was super sluggish eben when i step harder on the accelerator till a few seconds later..is there any prob with my car? is it a block in the fuel line or something? Btw i'm drving a 1.3m 98' lancer thx

Yo MCF bros.... noticed lately my car has been having a rather rough idle (more vibration especially when aircon is on). Any ideas why ? (Did a compare, Andrewkb mentioned his car doesn't idle as rough)

This has been going for a while.... I do realise that for the first drive of the day, the engine will vibrate violently at low speeds. This normally happens at around 1,500 rpm. But the interesting thing to note is that this problem does not occur for the subsequent rides for the day. Can anyone advise on this phenomena?
