TL;DR - Luck hasn’t run out for this PAB food rider as he speeds through the red light and almost gets banged by incoming traffic Presenting to you one of the top idiots in Singapore. A hairbreadth escape for the PAB food rider as he dashed through the red light and almost got himself killed by incoming traffic. But I guess it's just not his time to go yet. TL;DR - Two cars were seen beating the red light at Jurong Gateway, clearly intentional from the way they slowly inched out bit by bit over the stop line. GOAT stands for Greatest of All Time. As the name suggests, GOAT is an internet slang initialism used to compliment an honorable mention. But not in this case. Watch this 63-second shocker to know what I mean. What happened? These two drivers were seen not conforming to the traffic light as they budged out of the stop line. As long as you have a bit of common sense, when the traffic light turns red and a green man appears, it means cars are supposed to stop for pedestrians to cross the road. We don’t need Albert Einstein’s IQ to know that. Do you reckon these two drivers firmly believe this is really their grandfather’s road? Or are they playing a game of drag race? Nobody asked but I would root for the Kodiaq, simply because it has a higher horsepower than the Cerato. (Not to mention, the Cerato also had a head start so it’s sort of playing ‘cheat’ here). With so many videos of serious car accidents circulating around lately, you would think that drivers will learn to pay more attention on the road. Well apparently not for this reckless BMW driver who obviously has no concern about safe driving. Watch the 31-seconds video here and try not to rage: What happened? According to the caption of the video, the incident happened at Sembawang Road at around midnight last night. In the video, we can clearly see that the light has turned red at the 0:11 mark. Drivers and riders that can be seen in the video had either stopped or were slowing down when approaching the traffic junction. With the green light in pedestrian’s favour, the cyclist started to make his/her way across the road as would any of us. Just when the cyclist made about a quarter of his/her way across the road, SEVEN (7) WHOLE SECONDS after the lights had turned red, a BMW can be seen speeding on the middle lane into the frame of the video with NO ATTEMPT to slow down or stop. What the hell? Tragedy Strikes The speeding car smashed into the unsuspecting cyclist before coming to an abrupt halt. The high-speed impact sent the poor cyclist flying from his bicycle and onto the cold hard floor nearby. The video then ends with a nearby motorcyclist approaching the scene seemingly to render assistance. Online Chatter My exact sentiments! Who the hell approved this f*****’s license?! Clearly you are not suitable to be driving if you are BLIND AF. Umm, okay… I, for one, believe that there is no reason ever good enough to have such blatant disregard to road safety at the (possible) expense of innocent lives. If you want to die, don’t drag others down with you la please. Wtf, where the sauce bro?? I have seen my fair share of NON-BMW and MERC who were behaving recklessly on the road as well. It’s not the car, it’s the driver la. Last but Not Least Like what the comments above say, road users PLEASE, for the love of God, exercise caution whenever you are on the road – especially the helpless pedestrians. The green light may be in your favour but some people, like this BMW driver, have issues distinguishing between green and red or may possibly be distracted. As many of you know, and as written in many of our past articles, errant cyclists who pay little heed to traffic rules are often complained about and mocked online due to them misbehaving on the roads but quickly zipping away after, with no consequences in sight. For this very unfortunate cyclist however, he got the results of flouting the rules---- instantly. The cyclist may have tried to beat the red light, but ultimately failed, in the worst way possible. He starts out here. Flying down the road, he was soon collided into by the white vehicle, who definitely had ZERO idea that the cyclist was there, and probably had NO way to stop due to the speed. A second later the cyclist was rammed into by the second vehicle, which immediately halted at impact, and like the first car, could not possibly have stopped in time. To these vehicles, it would have been like the cyclist had appeared out of nowhere. The force of the impact caused the cyclist to fly forward and land in front of the second navy blue vehicle. Soon after, the drivers of both cars got out to check on the cyclist. It would be a shocking sight to anyone, including us viewers on the internet. Netizens seem to have a general consensus As you can imagine, the feedback was swift and merciless. This was one of the more civil comments we received that we agree with. We hope the drivers were not penalised as it really was not their fault. Some others crowed in glee, and spared no moment in jeering at the injured cyclist. I think everyone agrees that we hate people who treat our public roads like their grandfather's road... Not saying we justify the road rage, or any middle fingers, or license-plate ripping or throwing... 🤪 (if you know, you know!), but we do understand the anger some feel when having to share the driving space with others who are sibei inconsiderate! Recently, in Eunos Crescent, a Honda Vezel decided to play punk in the neighbourhood--- not only did they beat a red light, they performed an illegal U-turn as well! Furthermore, this was with other cars on the road, including one it was coming head-to-head with, and a pedestrian in the near vicinity. According to the Singapore Traffic Police, the penalty for failing to conform to traffic signals is a fine of $400 for light vehicles, $500 for heavy vehicles, along with 12 demerit points for the errant driver. The penalty for making an illegal U-turn is a fine of $70. Wow, imagine all the gas you could buy with that money! The dashcam of a fellow driver captured everything. At first, everything seems normal, just a quiet night in the streets of the East... Hey, wait a minute! Did that Vezel just beat the red light? Whoa! That's a violation! Oh man... There's another car there! Siau or what?? Is he doing what we think he's doing? Oh boy, here comes the U-turn... Dangerous? Inconsiderate? Both! Man, I cannot believe what I just saw. Needless to say, this driver has gathered the ire of many a netizen in the comment section of the Facebook page the incriminating video was posted on: This commentator has a sense of humour! Haha. Hm? 9 out of 10 of what? Could this netizen be possibly referring to Honda Vezel drivers..? Well, again, this is a statement we can neither confirm nor deny... Lastly, there was an interesting comment that we sighted: Huh, is that so! Well, well, well. I think we can all agree though: what the Vezel driver did was definitely not right, nor happily received! The verdict is... Yes, it may have been in the wee hours of morning. Not a lot of cars then, nor many pedestrians. But the Vezel still shouldn't have done that. Traffic rules exist and are put into place for a reason. It was super dangerous because of the presence of other road users, such as the oncoming car and the lone pedestrian, yet more vulnerable due to them not being in any vehicle of sorts. Wouldn't you feel guilty if your rashness were to cause injuries to others or even... the loss of a life? That's not your call to make, man. Only God's. Don't play play hor, please. A Toyota Prius ComfortDelGro Taxi blatantly bypasses and ignores the red light signal, almost crashing into the camcar that actually had the green light to head right. Car sharing Getgo vehicle blatantly ignored the red light and hit a taxi

A common car-sharing Getgo vehicle gets caught on camera blatantly ignoring the existence of the red traffic light. Strange since this seems like the fundamental essentials of driving theory. This resulted in the vehicle side sweeping an oncoming taxi and, hitting into it and resulted in debris inconveniently left on the road. It's extremely fortunate that this blatant disregard for traffic rules did not result in a more severe and damaging accident. It might be wise for Getgo to conduct further investigations into the perpetrator of this incident. BMW 740 beats the red light and drives straight into a traffic light

The following accident is a strange one. Watch it here: What Happened? The above video was captured by the cam car's dashcam while approaching a red light signal at West Coast Road. A BMW 740 drove past the cam car while straddling between lanes 1 and 2 before running the red light at an unusually slow speed. The BMW crosses the junction while travelling at a bearing towards the centre divider. Moments later, the BMW mounts the centre divider and takes out an entire traffic light, tilting it at a 45-degree angle. At this point, I am starting to wonder about the structural robustness of the BMW sedan after it almost uprooted an entire traffic light. The Possibilities Some netizens were speculating that the driver was either driving under the influence of alcohol/substance or driving while distracted (driving while using a mobile phone). However, judging from the strange way the car was being driven, there is a likelihood that the BMW driver was experiencing a medical emergency which caused the accident. Somehow or rather, cyclists are always associated with poor road behaviour or being a road pest. Watch the video below and find out why it isn't difficult for the public to feel that way: What Happened? A Toyota Rav 4 was waiting for pedestrians to finish crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing before performing his left turn. Despite a blinking green man signal with 2 seconds left on the timer, a cyclist from the other side of the road made a last-minute decision to rush across the road with his two kids in tow. The driver failed to notice the cyclist and proceeded with his turn since it was highly likely that he was in the driver's blind spot. As a result, the Toyota SUV grazed the front of the bicycle, which caused the cyclist to stumble. Needless to say, the cyclist vented his frustration and anger at the Toyota driver by gesturing his middle finger towards the white SUV. I am pretty sure if there was audio, we could hear lots of profanities being projected from the cyclist. Netizens' Comments Typical road pest. Definitely both parties were at fault. Obtaining a driver's license is a significant milestone of your life, where some even name it as a 'life skill'. As a learner driver, your instructor would be looking out for you and providing you with a safe learning environment. But unfortunately, that doesn't always happen: What Happened? A learner driver was driving at what seemed like a 'rolling' speed. It maintained its 'rolling speed' alongside the cam car as they approached a red light. Instead of obeying the red light signal and stopping, the learner driver did something that left us flabbergasted - he continued driving. Also, considering that the brake lights did not light up, it was certain that there was no attempt by the instructor to e-brake using the secondary brake pedal. It is not right that the learner driver bears the brunt of this blunder. As this occurred despite having an instructor present, the instructor should shoulder the bulk of this blunder. And seriously, was the instructor sleeping?! The Real Question Now it's time for the real question that we all wish to find out. So, what happens now? Since the only 'license' the learner driver possess is a piece of paper, AKA the provisional driving license, who will be penalised for beating the red light? The instructor, learner driver, or both? TL:DR – An impatient lorry driver tries to beat the red light at a cross junction but ends up t-boning and wrecking a Mercedes instead. A horrific accident happened earlier today (9th Feb) at 2.23pm at Choa Chu Kang. It could have all been avoided if the lorry driver had shown some patience. Here’s the video: Rekt Not going to go into too many details, but the lorry certainly did a number on the Mercedes. If it were a lighter car, like a Honda Fit for example, it would have been flung down the bridge. How’s the driver? There are no updates about the driver or the occupants of the Mercedes, but we hope everyone’s okay. Patience please? Is it too hard to ask people to have some patience when they drive? You would have probably heard the saying 'put on helmet cannot think' from your BMT sergeant or in an Ah Boys to Men movie. Sadly, it is true. And this condition affects anyone, regardless of whether you are wearing the SAF helmet or a bicycle helmet. Here's the reason why: What Happened? This ridiculous incident happened at the junction of Eu Tong Sen Street and Merchant Road. As the traffic lights turned green in the cam car's favour, an errant cyclist dashes out from the right, which caused the cam car and the car beside to perform an emergency brake. Despite the cam driver's timely reaction, the cam car halted right before the errant cyclist. As a result, the errant cyclist also had to perform an emergency brake which caused him to lose his balance. A State of Daze After the cyclist regained stability by putting one foot down, he gave the cam car and the car beside it a look, filled with incoherence. It was as though he was high/intoxicated and could not differentiate reality from fantasy. Afterwards, he continued to cycle off without any apology or remorse. I'm sure we all have done it before - charging through an empty street and speeding up even as the light turns red. Seems pretty harmless, especially when it's late at night and the whole street is quiet and empty, right? Well, I've written this article about a driver who beat the red light and ended up running over a food delivery rider who was waiting for the red light. While I can understand why drivers tend to beat the red light when the street is empty, I don't really get why drivers think they can do the same when there is clearly traffic and pedestrians crossing the junction. What exactly goes through a driver's mind when they attempt to beat the red light at busy areas? 🤨 Do they really think they could do it without any severe consequences? -

The two cyclists ended up almost colliding with each other, causing the elderly cyclist to fall. They obviously have no regard for safety rules, lest their safety. From their actions, I am certain that it is not their first time flouting red light signals or traffic rules in general as cyclists. What do you do when you are rushing for time (for whatever reason), and the odds are stacked against you? Watch how this Honda Shuttle "skips" a red light by taking a shortcut: What happened? This incident took place along Corporation Road, at the junction of Yung Sheng Road. In the dashcam footage, a red Honda Shuttle is seen driving aggressively behind the cam car. Moments later, as the Honda Shuttle approaches the red traffic light, he slows down abruptly. And just when you think he is about to come to a complete stop... He decides to swerve to the nearby filter lane, perform an illegal U-Turn, and go to another filter lane to "skip" that red light (Intelligence +10). Thinking out of the box Undoubtedly, this driver possesses quick thinking and decisive skills, which are used for the wrong reasons. Like the one featured in the video, such manoeuvres should not be performed as they are purely reckless and hazardous to other road users. Exploiting a loophole? According to Chapter 276, Section 112 Part IV No. 54 of the Road Traffic Act, crossing a single continuous white line is allowed only when the road ahead is clear. Don't be mistaken, this is no loophole. What the driver doesn't realise is the fact that he did not obey traffic directions as indicated. Although it is uncertain how many offences he committed, I am pretty sure he has committed at least 1 offence from the "skip traffic light" Jutsu. Two cyclists dash across red light: Are they exempt from traffic rules?

Here we have two cyclists caught dashing across red light, at a junction near JCube along Jurong Gateway Road (Uploaded by SG Road Vigilante) From the footage, looks like these cyclists are not wearing helmets. The video is also accompanied with some strong language by the camcar driver: Camcar Driver (in Mandarin): 这两个XX来的。人家在过马路，#$%@$!@。这个是XX来的这种人！！ (Rough translation in English): These two people are XX!! Other people crossing the road! #$%@$!@. These two people are XX, these kind of people! Are cyclists exempt from traffic rules? Obviously not, because LTA has already defined a specific set of rules for Bikes, Electric Bikes, E-Scooters & PMDs. While his strong language is dramatic, I can understand the camcar driver's frustration. Understandably, it is difficult to enforce these rules on non-motorised cyclists as they usually do not have license plates, and do not have to register their 'vehicle' with LTA. The repeated honking is pretty much all he can do - as a driver on the road, there's almost no way to properly identify these two cyclists. Seem like I had beat the red light at slow speed where can sense the bright flash. I was doing a left turn & it is not going straight or turning right. Any idea how to go about appealing? If appeal does it means waive off the fine & the points? Some expert offering the solution: (1) Use other driver license to own it up. Pay fine + demerit points. (2) Appeal to TP. (3) Appeal to MP. Normally how long would get the letter to be sent to the home address? Hope do not have then can Z.zzz in peace.

I was on my way to watch Ip Man 3 at Shaw Centre on 1st Jan at around 445pm. Was waiting at the junction of Scotts Road and Stevens Road/Draycott Road to turn right to park my car at Shaw Centre. When the light turned green, there was this City Cab driver who beat the red light and I almost got into accident with him. I won't upload the video as I am having issues with my video editing software, but I suppose the 3 pics are sufficient to illustrate and the 3rd picture shows the light is green in my favour. It gave me a fright but it didn't stop me from enjoying Donnie Yen wing chun moves. =))
