Just want to share to fellow forum users to be careful when finding freelance/shop to do car camera. If its a shop, DIE DIE to take receipt for the service/goods. If its a freelance, I think better dont engage in case of future disputes. I have got a used car from a dealer and I noticed the car cam that came with the used car is faulty. So got the dealer's contact Sky to install a Marbella KR8S which I had used before in my previous car. Did not wanted to swap over to newer car cause find the swapping troublesome and decided to give the existing car cam in newer car a try only to discover it was faulty after few days. Anyways Sky who i believe owns a shop at 10 Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2A #03-09 did up the dashcam in Dec 19 but did not give a receipt saying I could go to him if i experience any issues. True enough after 2 weeks, the dash cam wifi failed and cannot connect to my phone. I then try to contact him but he was evasive and rude. Then I ended up seeking manufacturer help and they are kind enough to do a swap for me. Listed all the evidence to caution users against using freelance/shops who dont give receipts. I suspect he sold me a faulty dash cam and will be making police report. Lesson learn is always get an official receipt so you can dispute should there be any issues in future. 1st Pic is Sky whatsapp pic. 2nd and 3rd is his rude and evasive acts. I called multiple times but he did not ans. 3rd pic is the replacement receipt by Maka.

Had lunch in Hiaxx Jx in TPY yesterday, btw, they served really good Cha Siew. the lunch cost around $50 and so i ask for a receipt. To my surprice, i was told cannot. When i ask why, the lady went back to consult another woman. She returned and replied "sorry, we dont issue receipt". i mean, can they deny issue receipt for food purchased?

Hey guys, I had parked my vehicle in front of a coffeeshop, enjoying my weekly coffee sips. The car was in sight at all times. One week later, I received a letter from TP which has fined me $70. As the car was right in front of me, it means that fatimah must have booked me from a distance, and do not even dare to place it on my windscreen. Is that their normal practice? Any bros can share how to appeal to LTA?

A friend of mine was probably following too close to a car infront. Due a traffic situation infront, the car infront E-brake and he accidentally "touched" the side bumper. It was a very superficial hairline dent, no paint peel-off and if you don't go closer you can't even spot the problem. Now, my friend offered the car infront to go to any workship for a paint work. This guy later called and told him the "damage" is $170 quoted by his workshop. He claimed that he is too busy to get the bumper repainted and asked for cash instead. In this case, should my friend paid him the money or he should insist that that guy got it repainted and produce a receipt? Please advise him. Thank you very much. Regards,

Was surprised to see that there is 5% off when I made payments at Singpost. See attached receipt for terms and conditions.

Got an email from someone.. and would like to share with bros/sis..!Can't verify the validity of the story... but its worth shar ================ Just a short story to remind you guys to collect your receipt whenfilling petrol in malaysia. while queueing at the customs for our turn to stamp our passports to goback S'pore, 2 malay guys wearing esso polo tees, probably from thestation whr i filled my tank, approached us and told us that we did not pay for our petrol(pls note i've already handed our passports to the custom officer). Of cos we told him we paid but the malay guy asked mefor receipt which i cant produce since i don't normally ask from the counter.Hearing that, the officer, while holding the passports, refused to letus go unless we settle the payment. even after telling them so many times that we paid, they don't let us go, and asked 1 of us to follow hem back to check the cctv.of cos we didn't agree and told the officer to let all of us go back together to check, he said yes, but have to leave the passports with him as he claimed that he had already stampedone of our passports, Rubbish! cos we didn't see him stamp anything. In the end, my fren, who was rushing back to Singapore decided to just pay them 'again'and end the problem. the two guys looked happy as if the trip to lookfor us at the custom paid off. in the end, i paid them 62RM when i only pumped 56.50RM worth of synergy F1 petrol. After that, the 2 guys walkedto the officer's booth and shake hands w the officer and the senior, happily. in front of us man..... it appears that the staffs at the petrol stations will informed those people waiting at the customs ifthey noticed anyone leaving the station without the receipt. So bros and sis, pls rem to collect your receipt when paying foranything, yes anything there. Who knows what story they may have nexttime. Don't give these ppl a chance to earn bonus.

I would like to find out from you guys. Do you insist that your mechanic must issue you official receipts after each repair? Among the few ws I visited, only Lee Sheng and CAS issue proper receipts for each service/repair. Do you dare to visit ws which doesn't issue proper receipts?
