  1. Wah like that also can? http://www.carnewschina.com/wp-content/upl...ash-china-1.jpg http://www.carnewschina.com/2013/05/14/ang...porte-in-china/
  2. Most of us probably think - at least I do - that luxury cars are perfect. Their brands alone have often reflected how top notch they are. Brands like Ferrari, Porsche, and Maserati (among others) are few good examples. However, believe it or not, that will be so true if, and only if, we are living in a perfect world. Speaking of which, unfortunately, this world is not perfect. This recent event in China just proved it even more so. A pretty rich Chinese man decided to destroy his Maserati Quattroporte on 14th May 2013. Mind you, the car costs 2.6 million Chinese Yuan which is equivalent to approximately S$526,000. The Chinese guy hammered his car in front of the crowd witnessing the Qingdao International Auto Show which started on the aforementioned date. According to the man, he destroyed his car to protest against the Maserati dealer he bought the car from. However, I would say that the event was actually the peak of a problem which started back in 2011, as reported by Car News China. At that time, the owner encountered a problem with his Maserati and so he contacted Maserati China. There was a fault with one of the car parts and, considering the car was still under warranty, the owner should have received a replacement for free. Surprisingly, though, Maserati China decided to charge him for a refurbished used part. Well, I guess the dealer must have thought that it was worth it for the 'repair' although I can say it's actually not worth it. Now, seeing that the owner decided to finally destroy his really expensive car, I believe that the guy is really fed up with the dealer. I, for one, can understand the guy. You see, even for a car priced far below the price of the Maserati Quattroporte, we can get engine swaps free of charge as long as the car is still under warranty. Now that I've witnessed a luxury car with quite a few faults, I guess I'll have to think over several times before deciding to buy one of my own in the future (that's assuming I can afford one, though, haha
  3. The new MC Stradale will be the star on the Maserati stand, alongside the all new Quattroporte as they make their European debut. Maserati has unveiled a new, potent MC Stradale that will debut in Geneva. The new four seater GranTurismo MC Stradale, combines sportiness with remarkable Italian styling and luxury. While the new Quattroporte will be built in the newer Giovanni Agnelli plant in Grugliasco (Turin), the aggressive racing inspired GranTurismo MC Stradale will be built in viale Ciro Menotti in Modena. The changes include the new carbon fibre bonnet with a striking central air intake, which reminds me of the Ferrari California, and new forged 20-inch alloy rims. Maserati claims the new GranTurismo MC Stradale boasts four comfortable seats and the cabin houses featuring new materials and style. Sadly there aren't any pictures that shows the interior. The GranTurismo MC Stradale is powered by a capable 4.7-litre, 460bhp V8 engine mated to a robust 6-speed robotised manual gearbox. The Brembo carbon ceramic discs take care of braking performance, for a vehicle with a 302km/h top speed.
  4. More details have emerged regarding Maserati's new mid-sized sedan, the Ghibli. Set to be launched at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show in April, the Ghibli will go on sale before the end of the year. The Ghibli is based on a shortened version of the Quattroporte platform. It is expected to measure around 4.9m in length, which is about 300mm shorter than the new Quattroporte. This means that the new model will have a more or less similar foot print as its class rivals such as the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6. At launch, the Ghibli is available with a twin-turbocharged, direct injected V6 3.0-litre. It is similar to the unit found on the Quattroporte but detuned to 385bhp. The other petrol engine choice will be a version of the 3.8-litre V8 found in the Quattroporte which is good for about 480bhp. Both engines are designed and built by Ferrari. A diesel option is also available and reports indicate that it could be a highly-tuned version of the 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel found in the Jeep Grand Cherokee. All engine choices will be mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The rear-wheel driven Ghibli is said to be a much more aggressive car than the Quattroporte.
  5. I love the new Maserati Quattroporte. Doesn't look so ah pek anymore. Visit My Website

  7. The recent generation Quattroporte were released around the time I finished secondary school back in 2004, besides a facelift in 2009, the Italian luxury sports sedan has not had a replacement model for near 8 years. Which is why it was a sigh of relief when I heard Maserati is developing an all new model to be revealed and rumours were flying off saying it will be a CLS competitor or small than the current car to compete with the BMW 7 series and Mercedes S Class. Which is why when this bit of news got up in the world's widest web, I got a little excited, not that I am going to buy one but I just love the styling of the Maserati's. With recent spy shots of the sedan haven't been much of help, we have what looks like patent drawings found by AutoWeek. To be taken lightly till we see less camo'd vehicles, you see the resemblance to the smaller sportier, Maserati GranTurismo, and the Maserati Kubang specially the headlights. Rumors are the next-gen sedan to be available with either a turbocharged V8 or a supercharged V6 assembled by Ferrari. The first chances of actually seeing it in the flesh is during next year's Detroit Motor Show. Credits: Autoblog
  8. Maserati announced their partnership with British company 'Benfield', the North East's largest Motor Group, to create the first dedicated showroom for the Trident brand in the UK. Maserati will be the 13th brand sold in the UK by Benfield. The dealership will be operated from Benfield's existing premises on Warwick street, Newcastle and will be open from 10 July 2012. The Warwick Street showroom has the capacity to display all the three cars under the Maserati vehicle range, namely the GranTurismo, GranCabrio and Quattroporte. Additionally, the facility will allow the business to showcase pre-owned Maserati, all of which will be prepared to the highest standards in the adjoining aftersales facility. Giulio Pastore, Managing Director of Maserati Europe said,
  9. Limited edition cars are something that we often get to see. It is so common that sometimes even normal base models get the limited edition treatment. But some limited edition cars were built for special events or purposes, for example, charity or commemorative events. And this limited edition Maserati GranTurismo S was built to celebrate 150 years of Italian unification. Maserati is building only 12 units of this limited edition GranTurismo S for the Italian market and the most striking feature of the car is obviously the matte blue paint work. The exact name for this exclusive exterior finish is Matte Sebring Blue. The car is not only characterised by the unique matte paint work but also with unique trim levels and features. Firstly, the colour brings out the car
  10. A lot of the sports car companies are coming up with ultra-luxury sedans. Which one do you like the most?
  11. If you've had trouble figuring out if the Maserati Quattroporte was a closer rival to the BMW M5 or the 7 Series, the latest news from Modena ought to help. As part of the Fiat Group's comprehensive five-year plan
