I just bought a set of MB Quart Discus Series 6.5 inch component speaker with titanium tweeters and crossover. Need some advice on how to setup/connect my HU, amps and speakers. I am using the following in my Aveo Hatchback: 1) Alpine 9853 touch sliding HU with built in 7 band eq, time correction, 3 RCA pre-out(front, rear, sub). 2) Cadence CEQ770 7 band Parametric Equaliser with subwoofer control. 1 RCA input, 3 RCA output (rear, front, sub). 3) AudioBank M5 monoblock amp 1300w max, 1 X 350w at 4 ohm. 4) Cadence 12 inch single coil subwoofer 300w rms at 4 ohm, 650w peak in a DIY 1.25 cubic feet box. 5) 4.5 inch front door stock component speaker wit 1 inch tweeter mounted in A pillar, 20w rms, 40w peak 4 ohm. (selling away) 6) 4 X 6 inch speaker at rear above boot. (remain driven by my HU now) 7) 6.5 inch component speaker with 1 inch tweeter and crossover 50w rms, 120w peak. Is it better to buy 1 X 4 channel amp or 2 X 2 channel amp? I need at least a 2 channel amp now to drive my MB Quart front component. But if I add a 6 X 9 speaker in the rear, I need the other 2 channel. I got friends telling me that 4 channel amp always have noise, and its better to get 2 X 2 channel amp. So which is better? Also in order to use my time correction function in my HU, do I need to use all the 3 RCA pre-out from my HU? If I need to use all 3 pre out, then I need 2 X 2 channel, bcos if I use 1 X 4 channel, I will not be able to use both the HU front and rear RCA output right? I am currently using only the HU front RCA pre-out to connect to the preamp's RCA input and the pre amp output the RCA to supply to my monoblock amp. My new speaker haven connect yet. Planning to leave the rear 4X6 inch connected to HU and install a amp to power the new front speaker. So 4 or 2 channel amp? CEQ770 still needed? So how should I connect, should I use my Cadence CEQ770 or take it out from my system? Any good 4 channel amp abt 75-110w rms per channel? I was quoted Helix amp at 4 X75w rms at 4 ohm for $500 including installation of my front component speaker, is it ex? Is the amp good?
