In my heart, the brightest star of the 2012 Beijing Motor Show hails from the three-pointed star manufacturer, the Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe. However, BMW has triumphed its German rival this time round with an even brighter star. But hold on a second, the model that outshines the Concept Style Coupe stands on two legs instead of four wheels. I am referring to Li Yingzhi, a 22 year-old model who is a native of Qingdao, Shandong Province. She is a model parading for the BMW booth at the Beijing show. The 1.77m beauty literally outshines all the 1,125 cars on display by wearing a revealing diamond-studded dress. According to Yahoo News, she was dubbed as the "Beauty of Qingdao" and has worked as a catwalk model, car show model, fashion model, dancer and actress. Miss Li may have become the apple of the eye of many male visitors to the Motor Show. However, she and the other scantily-clad models have caused the Beijing Authorities to see red instead. According to Beijing's Capital Ethics Development Office, the revealing clothing of some models at the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition has had a "negative social impact". Yang Yang, a director of performances at the Motor Show explained that the models were chosen to complement the cars and their features. I am not sure if the explanation holds water but I am not complaining anyway Below are additional photos of Miss Li from the 2012 Beijing Motor Show and other motoring events, for the readers' viewing pleasure.
