  1. TL;DR - A passerby punched and slapped a driver who presumably fell asleep behind the wheel. This is what happens when the Z monsters creep up on you while you’re on the road. Watch this 54-second video of a lady who knocked out in her car and got whacked awake by a passerby. So what happened? A female driver was found sleeping in her Honda Vezel at the roadside in Hougang. A male passerby then came over to her car and attempted to wake her up, but to no avail. He continued by punching and slapping her arm, before she woke up. Perhaps he was just afraid that she might have passed out, or passed away…? Online Chatter: The netizens were clearly not having it, saying that the man should not have used violence on her, especially so when she’s a female. Takeaway Regardless of how comfy your car seat may be, please don’t KO on the road! It is extremely dangerous to sleep in the car, especially with the A/C on. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 2. Last week, the viral Bentley driver incident made us wonder about the association between rich people and their obnoxious behaviour. This week, we get a Mercedes driver who possesses similar obnoxious qualities. Watch the video here: What Happened? This road rage-induced incident occurred in the vicinity of private estates at Kovan Road. A Mercedes driver who wanted to turn right into an apartment estate took a grudge against an Audi driver who was going straight and had the right of way. As the Mercedes driver started filling with rage, he alighted from his car to confront the Audi driver while impeding its way. The Mercedes driver started shouting and gesturing wildly to the Audi driver while not wearing any face mask. It can be observed that the Audi driver had wound down the window, most likely to respond to the Mercedes driver's confrontation. Just then, the Mercedes driver took a few steps back as matters seemed to cool down. At the next moment, the Mercedes driver took a gradual leap forward and landed a 'flying punch' right in the Audi driver's face before walking away. NGL, the Audi driver deserves mad respect for doing the right thing by keeping his cool and not retaliating. Living Under A Rock Do you know what grinds my gears? Someone's audacity to think they can get away with it after committing a blatant, unlawful act. The Mercedes driver must be thinking that he still lives in the 1960s when he was 'young and dangerous', before the existence of technology. Well, jokes on him - With the existence of dashcams and social media, his unlawful act will not go unnoticed. Netizens' Comments Tell me about it. Do you know how many videos I have come across that had no head or tail??? Was this what people did back in the day when the yellow box was non-existent? LOL. Bopian, 老 hero needed to compensate for his fragile ego. ======== Receive a $10 PayNow for every submission we publish on Facebook! Simply WhatsApp us ➡️https://bit.ly/3c6JERA
  3. Sad to say, road rage is a pretty common occurrence in Singapore, which takes on many forms such as tailgating, shouting or angry honking. Watch this road rage incident that involved two men exchanging fists here: (Disclaimer: Lots of shouting and vulgarities, so adjust your volume accordingly, if required) This incident allegedly occurred along Edgedale Plains, involving the drivers of the camcar and the Audi Q7. Exchanging of fists It is unknown what exactly took place that led to the altercation between both drivers. Both men started exchanging fists within the first 10 seconds of the video, with countless vulgarities spewed. Police had to intervene to stop the altercation from escalating. Despite returning to the car, the camcar driver's significant other continued to taunt the Q7 driver by shouting rudely and making vulgar hand signs at him. The video ends shortly after, with the same lady shouting xenophobic remarks at the Q7 driver. Vulgarity count Here's a tally of the number of vulgarities used in the video: B*st@#d - 9 CB -9 F@#ker - 11 LJ - 1 Netizens' comments Imagine the number of times I had to watch this video to write this blog post... The number of offences committed in this video is too damn high! The gif below sums up my thoughts: I laughed my ass off at this comment. And somehow I read this comment in David Attenborough's voice. P.S. Please lah guys, next time just avoid such altercations. The world is already stressful as it is, especially with the pandemic around😩 Update: Both men are currently assisting with police investigations into a case of affray. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 4. Have we found Singapore's 'One-punch-man'? For those who don't know that character, it is a Japanese superhero franchise who features Saitama, a superhero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch and seeks to find a worthy foe after growing bored by a lack of challenge due to his overwhelming strength. Shared among various whatapp chats and from Facebook pages from late last night is this video where by 4 men could be seen fighting in Golden Mile Complex carpark. At around the 27 second mark, this grey singlet dude threw a big one at one of the men, knocking him out clean. Not that we encourage fighting but that is pretty 'One-punch-man' moment. It is unclear what started the fight. Check out what netizens have to say about this incident!

  6. From CNA : Poly student pleads guilty to punching SCDF paramedic Posted: 18 October 2012 1800 hrs SINGAPORE : A polytechnic student on probation for theft punched a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedic who tried to help him after he found him drunk and injured at a void deck. Abdul Rahman Bamadhaj Abas, 19, pleaded guilty on Thursday to disorderly behaviour and hurting a public servant. The court heard that he punched Mohd Chan Herman, an SCDF paramedic, at about 6.30pm on August 25 this year. Mr Mohd Chan, who was sent to attend to a case in Hindoo Road, found Abdul Rahman lying at a void deck in Veerasamy Road. Abdul Rahman's arm was bleeding and he smelled of alcohol. Mr Mohd Chan dressed Abdul Rahman's wounds and with the help of a police officer, buckled him onto a stretcher. But Abdul Rahman freed himself and punched Mr Mohd Chan in the eye. The police officer restrained Abdul Rahman's wrists with a cable tie, and helped him into an ambulance. But Abdul Rahman broke free and dashed out of the ambulance, shouting repeatedly. The court heard that Abdul Rahman was on a 15-month probation for theft committed in June at the time of his offences. In mitigation, Abdul Rahman said he was sorry and that he was too drunk to remember what he had done. "I drank to relieve stress, and didn't expect to hurt anyone. I just wanted to have fun and then go home," he said. Abdul Rahman also admitted he was addicted to alcohol and added he had sought help after his latest offences. District Judge Ng Peng Hong told Abdul Rahman that he was testing the court's limits by committing offences while on probation. "Because of your alcoholism, you caused hurt to a public servant who wanted to help you but got punched," he said. The judge, who said it was the court's responsibility to ensure such cases do not happen to other public servants, placed Abdul Rahman on remand. Abdul Rahman will be sentenced on November 9. He faces up to four years' jail and a fine for hurting a public servant. For behaving in a disorderly manner in public, he can be fined up to S$1,000. - CNA/ms Committing offence while on probation and just want to have fun ... 8. Read how did he parked his car and then decide if he self-pawn or not. I think more like a oportunitist looking for student to learn from him martial arts. http://newpaper.asia1.com.sg/news/story/0,...,171312,00.html? Assault happens after two men confront him for blocking their vehicle HE has been called Singapore's Jackie Chan. Mr Lim, who's trained in qigong, muay thai boxing and karate, shows how he blocked the blows from the two attackers. -- TNP Pictures: MOHD ISHAK He is trained in qigong, muay thai boxing, karate, and taekwon-do, and has performed stunts, including on screen. And he claims he would have been beaten to death recently, had he not known how to use martial arts to defend himself. Mr Lim Pian Hwa, 48, a businessman, said that on the evening of 23 Jun, he left his car on Sungei Road and went to get a watch repaired. Suddenly, he heard someone yell in Hokkien: 'Whose car is blocking mine?' He said his Kia multi-purpose vehicle was in front of a lorry and another car. He claimed that he apologised at once and offered to move his vehicle. But the two men confronting him looked menacing. One of them was a full head taller, and very well-built. Mr Lim said he asked them: 'Why are you so fierce?' According to him, both the men glared at him, shouted Hokkien expletives and began to land punches and kicks on him. Though taken aback by the attack, he began to use his training to shield himself. And all the while, it seems he kept talking to them, trying to explain that they could get the authorities to issue him a summons. But, he claimed their response was to shout in Hokkien: 'Punch till you die. This place cannot park. Still dare to talk.' He said he could tell that both the men were also trained in martial arts, from the way they punched. He recalled how they aimed a flurry of blows and kicks on his head, stomach, crotch, and legs. He also felt something heavy hit him on the side of the head. Despite all that, as he parried and dodged, he managed to call the police on his handphone. He said a crowd had gathered to watch, but nobody intervened. The attack lasted for about 10 minutes. He then heard shouts that the police were arriving, and the two men ran away. 'If I didn't block the blows, I would have died,' said Mr Lim. 'Any normal person would have been beaten to death.' And even this martial arts veteran did not come away unscathed. He suffered a fracture to his hand, scratches and bruises on his head and body. He said he is mystified that someone would attack him so ferociously over the way he had left his car. 'I have no past history with these people, I don't owe them money or anything,' he said. Also, Mr Lim said, he had left his car's hazard lights blinking, and was away for less than five minutes. However, he suspects that the attack might be related to an incident that morning. He said he had made a police report against a client who threatened to kill him over a money dispute. But Mr Lim stressed that he resolves problems with dialogue instead of resorting to fists. 'I must be rational, I must 'ren' (Mandarin for withstand, tolerate, suffer). I use experience, not temper. 'It is not worth it to fight back. There are laws in Singapore which I respect and follow. These people were entirely unreasonable.' DANGEROUS STUNTS Mr Lim is not new to dangerous situations. He is an experienced stunt performer who uses his martial arts training to perform dangerous feats. He has been rammed in the stomach by a tree trunk carried by several men, and run over by a lorry. In another performance, he cracked a stack of 20 fluorescent lights in half with a single blow of his bare hand. According to a Shin Min article in 1994, he has acted in a television film, Gang, made in China with Hong Kong actor Chen Ting Wei. The article also mentioned that he won a Muay Thai boxing competition in Thailand in 1983. Mr Lim said he learnt some of his skills from his grandfather, who was a qigong master and performer. Police confirmed that they received a call at 6.40pm on 23 Jun about a fight, and they are investigating. By newsroom intern Cai Haoxiang
  9. Dow Jones journalist fined $1,000 for punching cabby A FINANCIAL journalist got into a tiff with a cabby who did not have change for a $50 note in October last year. Andrew Bevan Jones, 35, of Dow Jones, then punched cabby Irwan Shah Saharim, 33, in the nose, at the driveway of Block 3C of East Point Green Condominium in Simei Street 3 at about 5.30am that day. Mr Irwan was treated at Changi General Hospital as an outpatient for a fractured nasal bridge. On Tuesday, Jones was fined $1,000 after he pleaded guilty to the charge. A district court heard that both men could not agree to drive to a 7-Eleven store to get change for the $25 fare and when Jones tried to leave the cab, Mr Irwan Shah stopped him. Jones then punched the cabby. Both men then started arguing again as Mr Irwan Shah tried to claim money from Jones to consult a doctor. Neighbours awakened by the shouting match called security. Two guards arrived and managed to calm down Jones, who by then had paid Irwan $50. As Jones was waiting for the lift to return to his unit, Mr Irwan shouted: 'You bxxxxxd, you better watch your back. I know where you live.' Jones immediately turned around and another bout of pushing and shoving ensued, during which Mr Irwan fell. A security guard persuaded Jones to go home. Jones told police that he drank about four glasses of beer at a pub before he boarded the taxi. Asking the court for leniency, lawyer P.E. Ashokan said that Jones has been working here since October 2006 and has never got into trouble before. He also said that Jones had offered to pay the fare with his credit card or get change from his apartment but Mr Irwan refused both options. Mr Ashokan also said that it was rather surprising that the cabby, having worked all night, did not have sufficient change. Agreeing, District Judge F.G. Remedios said that a jail term in this case would not be appropriate.

See then punched the victim and then left. http://www.straitstimes.com/Latest%2BNews/...ory_199269.html Jan 23, 2008 Cook fined $4,000 for feeding monkeys This is the stiffest fine ever handed out by a court By Elena Chong A MAN has been fined $4,000 for feeding monkeys in a Mandai nature reserve, the steepest fine ever handed out for the offence. Panneerselvam Arunasalam, a cook, admitted in court on Tuesday to feeding the animals bread in the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, on Aug 5, 2007. A park ranger spotted the 46-year-old feeding the monkeys in the Mandai sanctuary, near Old Upper Thomson Road. There are signboards warning against the feeding of moneys at the nature reserve. Pressing for a stiff sentence on Tuesday, National Parks Board prosecutor M. Maniam told the court that feeding of moneys in nature reserve endangered the safety of humans and animals. 'It alters the monkeys' natural behaviour adversely as it makes them reliant on humans for food instead of foraging for food on their own in the forest,' he said. Relying on humans for food 'domesticates' them. They also tend to behave more boldly and aggressively towards humans, especially children, he added. Also, it increases the monkey population, brings them closer to roads in search of food and increases the risk of collisions with motor vehicles. Mr Maniam said NParks takes a serious view of such feeding at nature reserves. Although steps have been taken to advise visitors not to feed them, visitors and members of the public continue to do so. There have also been recent media reports highlighting the danger and discouraging members of the public from feeding these animals. Mr Maniam on Tuesday said feeding of monkeys is becoming more prevalent. In 2006 there were 142 cases and last year, 14 more. Eighteen people have been convicted over the two year period. Mr Maniam sought a $5,000 fine for Pannelselvasm to send a clear and strong message that such acts should not be allowed or condoned. Pannerselvam could have been fined up to $50,000 or jailed for up to six months or both.
