Recently my car having this issue that it can't accerelate pass 40km/H and I have to release the pedal and step again in order to move and after a few minute I will cut off again, and this happen only on raining day, towded to C&C to have a check and the answer they gave me was my led taillamp resistor was cut away? And they said I had change the taillamp, I told the guy this led taillamp was original from C&C for 2016 model lancer ex, the issue is I been driving for the pass 1 year plus and this issue happen right after I service with them in December 2018, I didn't even touch my taillamp before how could the resistor cut away and the insisted me to change the whole taillamp for $800 plus in order not to have the same problem again, what I am not happy is about they accuse me for cutting it away, any bro can advise me what should I do? I am really lost for now
  2. Hi, My car check engine light was on. I went to a workshop to get it diagnose. The error code is P2096 Told me need to change catalyst convert....few thousand. Any encounter this before?
  3. Hi, I'm driving a Toyota Altis Elegance 2008 model ZRE141R with Dual VVTI. I have been having acceleration issue since I bought my car around a year ago. Found out that my car rims were 17 inch {225/45/17}. Went to Borneo Motors to try to resolve it and seems like they found my car in good condition. They recommended me to downgrade back to original rims which is 15 inch. I noticed the acceleration issue occurred after I changed from PS3 tire to Yokohama Blue Earth AE50. I have already tried decarbonizing, engine cleaning and throttle valve cleaning but seems the issue resurface after a while again. This issue was slightly improved after filling 2 tanks of V power consecutively but I think in the long run it wouldnt solve this problem. I am thinking of a few options. 1) Downgrade back to 15 inch tires which mostly likely restore some power back to the car. 2) Downgrade back to 16 inch. 3) Keep my 17 inch rims, instead change tires to Michelin PS4S Or Primacy to improve pickup 4) Do ECU Reflashing to try change and tune the engine to correct the problem. The previous owner installed a voltage stabiliser which I am not sure why, so I'm not sure if this is related. Any advices from my experienced Bros?

  5. My Sunny coming 10 years in next 2 weeks. Had LTA inspection and passed with advice that I change the rusty muffler as the sound will get louder over time. Now that I have renewed my COE, I would like to change the muffler. Any one got advice and the price for the change? Many thanks. I can live with the sound as it does not affect my fuel consumption or any function. But I have 10 years to go from 1 Jul and best I change now. I am prepared to change in JB.
  6. Recently I noticed that after I fill up petrol and start my vehicle up, the idle RPM tends to go up to around 900. Usually it's closer to 600-700. Is this cause for worry, or normal? I drive off and after a few minutes, idle RPM goes back to the usual when I'm at a stop.

  9. I know this is a weird topic but I really just wanna reach out to people who have this engine so as to share info. Please feel free to comment if you are knowledgeable on this topic. I am starting this topic for the MR16DDT engine, known as the 1.6 DIG-T engine in Nissan cars. It is a turbo charged direct injection 1618cc engine. So far, in local context I only know 3 car models use it. Please share if you know more. - Renault Clio RS (200HP, 240nm?) - Nissan Juke Turbo (187HP, 240nm) - Nissan Sylphy SSS (187HP, 240nm) I am driving a SSS. The Sylphy threads are very inactive and there does not seem to be any fellow SSS drivers around. I am going for 10k servicing soon. Had been using Tan Chong's mineral oil at 1k, 5k servicing and wanna use syn oil for next servicing as engine should have break-in now and starting on 10k intervals next. Tan Chong has their own in-house brand syn oil. I am thinking of bringing my own oil but not sure which type to use. Can anyone share what oil they had used for this engine? Should i get xW30 or xW40 oil? I don't go to the tracks at all.
  10. hi guys i'm looking for items to beef up my engine. currently running dc5 stock engine. was thinking of getting cams and maybe intake. anybody has suggestions? i've alr done my exo and decat so i'm just gonna leave it as that. thanks in advance guys! if anybody is selling used parts for dc5 or k20a please let me know!
