any one knows what brand to get? Is it true that Blu ray player can play any DVD format, including pirated ones?? I saw Sony Blu ray selling for $239 in Best Denki. It can connect to iPhone for remote commander and it's wifi ready. Model S380 http://www.sony.com.sg/product/bdp-s380 Now I know why iPhone is so good.... Lol. I saw alot of devices are connected to iPhone these days.

ESPN Latest : New rules force Man City to sell 12 players Manchester City will have to offload around 12 players before the transfer window closes at the end of next month - otherwise they will be left with players they are unable to play. New Premier League rules state that a club must submit a squad of 25 players on September 1, and only those players will be eligible to be named in a matchday squad. Clubs can supplement that list with an unlimited number of players aged 21 or under, but in Manchester City's case they are currently well over the 25-man limit. Players such as Roque Santa Cruz, Craig Bellamy, Jo, Felipe Caicedo, Micah Richards, Michael Johnson, Vincent Kompany, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Stephen Ireland, Nigel De Jong, Kelvin Etuhu, Pablo Zabaleta and Nedum Onuoha could find themselves out in the cold if they are still at Eastlands when the transfer window closes. Hey! i was thinking of getting this . its very convienient and u can remove it easily and fix it on easily if there is a need. Portable where u can bring it arnd if u have to. Some car buyers are "sensitive" to car models being use as taxis (e.g white merc, sonata, magentis, airwave etc) and avoid such models. Wonder if any of you share the same concept when it comes to the interior. There are some interiors with bright double-din touch screen players and GPS sticking out of windscreen that it feels like sitting in a cab (less the fare meter but there are other meters instead). Thought of upgrading my ICE but dun want to overdo. So what are your views?

My Pioneer DV-355 (region free) is nearing it's shelf life. I've been to Courts and Giant (cheapo mah) and so far it's all Region 3 players. Any recommendations? OT...my Akira and Hyundai DVD players CMI...died within a year+. Can't read the discs (for Akira) and can't write (Hyundai recorder)

Read in ESPN Soccernet report that : British Sports Minister attacks 'obscene' Premier League wages. LONDON, Nov 1 (Reuters) - British Sports Minister Gerry Sutcliffe has attacked spiralling wages in the Premier League. 'Good luck to (Chelsea captain) John Terry but I think it is obscene to be on 150,000 pounds per week,' Sutcliffe told a sports industry conference on Thursday. Sutcliffe, who is fairly new in the job after taking over from Richard Caborn this year, said football was in danger of alienating itself from ordinary people. 'Chelsea are 250 million pounds in the red and they may be able to cope with that but it's not the real world. That is not sustainable. 'This year Manchester United increased their season tickets by 13 percent. That's taking the game away from the ordinary grass-roots fans. 'We don't want to be in a position where people are alienated.' Sutcliffe also endorsed FA chief executive Brian Barwick's tough stance on behaviour in grassroots football, but said top players needed to clean up their act. 'Players should be exposed if they are not acting properly as role models,' he said. 'I abhor what goes on sometimes.' It about time something needs to be done to check their pay cheques. Indirectly, its also affect all football fans throughout the world. This is how it affect us suckers for their big pay........ High pay for players = increase in TV fee asked by clubs = fans pay more to watch live matches. Example of overrated players are : M. Ballack, Darren Bent, Andriy Shevchenko, Michael Owen, .......etc. Paid so much to warm benches due to injuries or not selected to play in first team (especially Liverpool Rafalution system ) Behaviour of players are also one major factor affecting younger players. One good example is Man U star player - Ronaldo who invited some high pros to his mansion with some other players for one night stand. Are they playing for the love of the game & country or for money & ....... -
Hi Bros and Sis out there, I will need your knowledge on choosing a good DVD player. Not very sure which one is good. According to my PI. All dvd players are brandless, and PI and SE are the one who bought them and printed brand on it. The Homa DVD player sold by many PIs in Singapore is brandless too and is made in Taiwan. I was given 3 dvd players to choose from to install in my new car. Kindly share your knowledge on dvd and which one will you choose? The first one is made in Korea (printed DVT on it, don't know it's a brand or what), and Sameashoma is made in Taiwan (PI told me this is same as Homa sold by many PIs here) And last one is made in Taiwan too, looks nice but screen is 1.5 inch smaller than the rest. Pls help!!!
