  1. Welcome to the Ring - where we congregate and go completely off-topic about what other forum members assume, perceive or think about who we are, what we say, and what we think! Let's do all the mud-slinging and sharing here, and not dilute the focus on the core topics in other threads! What say you?
  2. A friend bought an used Cayman S, told me yrly dep about $24k+-. We were chatting: $24k can go with wife for a Alaska Cruise or similar each year, or have $2k each month for fine dining, or be utilised as yearly interests for property loans, etc etc. To each his own. Maybe we should ask wife to sacrifice a yearly cruise but enjoy a fine / fast car for a change? Of course, the elites will have all the above without a blink Some will say donate the $24k every year to charities, the good feeling is priceless besides making many poor happy.
  3. If you are thinking of upping your speed to reach your destination faster, these will provide some perspectives on how much time you CAN actually save. Travel from one end of Singapore to the other. 40km. If you travel at following speed, note the time taken and time saved. Speed Time to destination 80km/hr - 30min 100km/hr - 24min (save 6 mins) 120kmlhr - 20min (save 10 mins) 130km/hr - 18.5min (save 12.5mins) 150km/hr - 16min (save 14mins) Now most of us dun do 40km runs from one end to the other. The average distance is probably 20km. So your savings will be exactly half of the above. Wanna speed? Think ............................ you dun really save much time.
