Singapore PR ask why they cannot vote for government since they have vested interest in our little red dot. Read already angry a not? from: https://www.facebook.com/AllSingaporeStuff/photos/pb.487870694661330.-2207520000.1394120473./520591754722557/

Finally! I have ballot with no success for 10 years. http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/permanent-balloting-ban-if-you-sell-your-ndp-tickets#xtor=CS1-10 The price for getting caught selling National Day Parade (NDP) tickets is now a permanent ban from being able to ballot again. Previously, the penalty was a ban of three years. Brigadier-General Melvyn Ong, chairman of the NDP executive committee, said in a statement on Tuesday: "Monetising the privilege to be part of the nation's birthday goes against (its) celebratory spirit... Those found to be involved in such activities will be barred from balloting for future NDPs." He added that the committee is working with online sale sites, including Carousell and eBay. There are still cock-sters selling tickets at this time.

How come Singapore don't have any laws that says PR must convert to Citizen within X years otherwise PR will be revoked? So many of these Malaysian PR around enjoying best of both worlds, say how good Singapore is compared to Malaysia, actually, he has been Singapore PR for the past 10+ years. Still holding PR now, never take up Singapore citizenship . If Singapore so good, just take citizenship lah! Still tok so much c--k.

There's lots of news in today's paper about PRs, and the differentiation between PR and citizen. I spend way too much time here, so don't really want to start a debate on whether the policies are good or bad. Would rather take a step back and look at what your thoughts are for the fundamental purpose of permanent residency. In my view it should be used to, in the first instance provide a level of "surety" to those who have talents that will add to Singapore while they explore citizenship. So it's mostly an attraction for talent that is an interim step to citizenship. What do you think?
