  1. You know what? It fits how we use other expensive things like phones, wallets etc to chope our tables and seats. This is just the natural evolution. What happened? An auntie in Star Vista parking lot yesterday pulled off a 1 v 5 clutch against other drivers to chope a parking lot for a Nissan Sylphy, of which she was the passenger of. According to the person who submitted the video, they had been waiting in the lot for around 20-30 min before finally seeing a car driving out of the lot. They were excited to finally be able to park until they saw the auntie “happily walking and standing in the lot”. This meme came to mind: They thought the auntie was simply going to stand around for a bit until they tried to reverse and found the auntie still not moving. At this point, “I know this auntie want to be famous alr.” Asking the auntie to move nicely (supposedly), she insisted that her car was coming and that she got here first. I think she also said “what you want me to do?”, but the background noise is too loud to hear clearly so hear for yourselves. The recorder found that another driver was leaving at this time and chose to relent. Online chatter There’s a common adjective used to describe this kind of behaviour. Some also criticised the act of chopeing parking lots. Others gave some… interesting solutions that they would have done had they been there. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 2. One of the key features of an SUV is the ability to go off road. To use the same car you would pick up your groceries and kids one day and go on mud and sand the next. However, this is Singapore. The only sand and mud we have are off limits to cars (as far as I can find). That didn’t stop a determined Honda Vezel driver from testing his capabilities though. Watch this video to see what I mean. What happened? A Honda Vezel was seen at Simei Carpark driving over a kerb and carrying on as if nothing happened. It appears as though the driver was trying to leave the car park but forgot to turn enough to hit the exit. Instead, he drove straight through a parking lot in order to correct his course and finally leave. Rip to his undercarriage. Let’s watch that again. He could have reversed and prevented any possible damage to the car, like any other sensible person. But this must be some high-level driver’s thinking that I cannot comprehend until I drive for a minimum of 20 years. Comment down below if you think so too! Let the jokes come in You know there had to be jokes after something like that. Notably about what driving school he came from. w My soul would leave my body if I felt my car go over an entire kerb. Others also made jokes about how he was using the car as it was meant to be driven. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 3. In Singapore we complaint or quarrel over parking lot. In KL, you can get stabbed for it. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=535925549875129
  4. [extract] Disputes over parking space are quite common. Most of them do not end up in a fight. However, in a bizzare case at Haikou City in Southern China, a man was murdered in a rather unusual manner. Apparently, a 41 year old woman tried to park her scooter in front of the deceased

    Induced poor parking

On a fine weekday afternoon, I happened to be looking down from a building onto an open air carpark. What caught my eyes was this white Audi A3, which was parked grossly beyond the marked boundary. This particular carpark's parking lots are considered wide and to park in such a manner is indeed reprehensible. However, when I looked to the left of the Audi, a poorly parked Hyundai Avante was spotted. As evident in the photo above, it has "invaded" into the parking lot of the Audi's. The Audi is probably parked in the way it is to create a reasonable distance from the Hyundai. I think many of us park our cars by taking cues from the position of the car in the next lot. For instance, I like to judge the perpendicularity of my car by making sure it is parallel to the next car. The problem is that if the car beside me is parked slanted, my ride will end up that way too. However, I will ensure that at least my car will not eat into the parking space of the consecutive lot before I shut off the engine. The situation described in the top paragraph is particularly relevant to parallel parking lots. During my weekend runs at the Big Splash, I have occasionally observed a few consecutive cars parked out of their defined space along the row of parallel parking lots. On one of these occasions, I saw a car with a piece of paper on its wiper. The statement on the paper was,
