  2. Road rage incidents in Singapore has hit a new low with this uncle and angrily ripping off the windshield wiper of the vehicle that impeded his van from exiting a parallel parking lot with ease. I don’t know about you but there is something about the way that this uncle expresses his anger that makes me chuckle. The way that he rips off a windshield wiper before attempting to leave in his van is super comedic and entertaining. By looking at the footage, it seems that the cam car might have trapped his van in the parallel parking lot. However, after the uncle goals all "HULK SMASH" on the wiper, the van managed to leave the lot albeit after a 1001-point turn. Netizens’ reactions Honestly, all this unnecessary drama might earn the uncle a kopi session with the TP. Nervous much?
  3. Ridiculously hilarious footage shows a foreign worker attempting to help his friend navigate their Toyota Dyna out of a parallel parking lot, only for it to end up hitting the vehicle behind them. This incident occurred on Tuesday (July 20) at Upper Weld Road, located in Little India. The minute-long clip starts with the lorry suddenly jerking forward before reversing in a comical attempt to get out of the parking lot. Due to the jerky reversing, the vehicle could not swing out as intended. Trying to help his friend, the foreign worker sitting in the passenger seat alights the lorry and acts as a manual guide while the vehicle continues to reverse in the tight space. As the Toyota Dyna gets closer to the black vehicle in the parking lot behind it, the vehicle commander gestures for his friend to stop reversing. However, his friend does not seem to notice his signal and continues reversing. The lorry inevitably hits the bonnet of the black car behind as the foreign worker grabs the back of it to prevent further damage. The whole ordeal felt like a cartoon act as the driver successfully leaves the lot, almost forgetting to let his vehicle commander friend back onto the vehicle. Netizens’ reactions I don't think the driver will be asking his friend for parking help any time soon. 4. TL;DR – BMW driver steals a parallel carpark lot from another BMW by edging headfirst into the small vacant lot. The result? Video footage of some crap parking. Here’s a 47-second video of a Beemer stealing a carpark lot….from another Beemer! What’s happening? Here’s a rough breakdown of what’s happening. The 3 Series (car at the back) tailgates the 1 Series (car in front trying to park). Both their hazard lights are on. As the 1 Series tries to parallel park by reversing in, the 3 Series drives headfirst into the lot. Yes. Headfirst into a small parallel lot. The 1 series driver then comes out of the car to confront the 3 series driver (the conversation is inaudible, so we cannot tell what they’re saying to one another). What could have caused this? While we don’t know what happened before the recording starts, some people mention that the 1 Series could have been the culprit and not jump to conclusions. It’s a BMW. Not a VW. Head-in parallel parking I don’t know about you all, but it’s just cringy to watch. Yes, I understand the 3 Series is trying to get the lot before the 1 Series reverses in, but it doesn’t change the fact that it irks me, especially when you see the 3 Series stuck at an odd angle in the parallel lot. Online chatter Wah. This person raging siol. Are you the 1 Series driver? ‘B’rilliant. Honestly, most cars these days come with a dashcam installed. Try not to get caught doing stupid things on video so we don’t have to write about you.
  5. Rules of thumb and experience help, but we prefer repeatable experiments. And if you see this and laugh, you're probably not as good as you think you are. Thankfully, the recipe for a one-move parking job is pretty simple. 1. Pull alongside the car ahead of the space you want. Align your rear axle with that car's bumper. Turn the wheel toward the curb at full lock. 2. Back up until the center of your inside rear tire aligns with the streetside edge of the forward car. Straighten wheel, continue to reverse. 3. When your outside tire aligns with that same edge, turn the wheel the other way. 4. If all went according to plan, you're in the space, bodywork intact. Get out and admire your work.
  6. Yesterday went to Dunlop St to have steamboat for dinner at One Pot. Wanted to park along the street but it's very hard to find a lot during dinner hours. And it's pretty hard to drive through the road as it looks quite narrow. Also many people there and nearly knocked down a guy. I also wonder how to park the parallel lots as I think the roads are too narrow to maneuver into the parallel lot. In the end, went to park at the open carpark at Weld St. A few years back, also in the same area, Little India, I parked on one of the streets and my friend opened the door and banged on the high kerb. Luckily no scratches and it's my old car. I noticed some parallel lots in these areas tends to be harder to park. Do you guys encounter the same problems?
  7. This afternoon, I found someone had traded paint with my bonnet. It was greyish white paint and it perfectly matches my neighbour's Touraeg. The spare tyre casing has the standard greyish white with dark blue. I've already took a photo of the damage on my bonnet and I'm wondering if I should confront my neighbour. We are not on bad terms, just not speaking to each other. Hopefully, he haven't gone and touch up his paint... i hate my neighbours. #endrant
  8. Who needs parking assistance when you have the parking abilities of German stunt driver, Ronny Wechselberger? Known as Ronny C Rock in Germany, he has set a new Guinness World Record for the tightest parallel parking with only 14 cm of space between the other two cars. The stunt was performed in a Volkswagen Up!, which measures just 3.54m. The car is sandwiched between two other Up! models. Ronny parked in car into a 3.68m space which was electronically measured using a measuring tape and a laser device. The new record The new record beats the previous record marginally by 1 cm. The old record was set earlier this year by Chinese stunt driver, Han Yue, in a MINI Cooper. The timing between the two records was just 11 days. Drivers, please don't try this at home! The previous record
