Today, my diesel engine suddenly. "discharged" engine oil from dipstick, filler cap and even from breather valve. There was a short burst of black smoke from exhaust . This happened after 5 minutes after started. This is a stand by caterpillar V8 diesel engine with in-direct cooling. Last year we experieced almost similar situation, and the culprit is plastic bag being sucked into and block up the engine lube oil cooler. Hope it us same problem. But this time operator reported seeing some black smoke..

But this time operator reported seeing some black smoke and despite of approc 10 litres of lube leaked, oil level seemed to have increased. Engine is really hot, have to wait till tomorrow to start troubleshooting when it has fully cooled down .

Hi all, I'm having a Mit fridge (FR series). Noticed lately that the drain pan located behind the fridge overflows very quickly. Is there a problem with it ah? Or is this normal? Anyone care to share their experience with Mit fridges?

Hi all, Need to ask some questions regarding radiator caps. When the car is cool, should the radiator cap be pressure tight? coz I suspect my radiator cap is leaking. ie, I noticed water leaking underneath my car every morning near the radiator reservoir area. This morning, I checked all the pipes seems to be ok. But when I compressed the pipes, I can hear wind noises from the radiator overflow hose (small hose). I thought this should be air tight when the engine is cool? And when the engine is hot, after certain pressure, then the cap would release some pressure? This leak has been going on for some time....leaked and I didn't check until this morning my car complained "Check Coolant Level". Kan cheong liao. I know most workshops should have a radiator cap pressure tester....but just wondering if anyone can tell me this is a obvious radiator cap problem. And if so it confirms my thoughts and I'll just proceed to buy a cap.
