  1. This video has gone viral among the car enthusiasts community in Singapore. A white Hyundai i30 has been filmed by the camera car's passenger showing the Korean car cutting across lanes recklessly with signaling along the SLE. Obviously trying to taunt or block the camera car (an Audi), we have no idea what is the story behind this incident as the video does not come with any audio. The video lasts for 30 seconds and could well have been going on for sometime. We hope nothing bad comes out of this road rage incident. P.S. Dear Hyundai driver, maybe you should watch less video clips on Youtube about Osaka's infamous street racers... ef6b0a0d-6339-4962-9dda-e287bb98811c.MP4

  7. Street racing is obviously illegal and incredibly dangerous, but that has never stopped people from doing it. While we don't hear nearly as much about the scourge of Japanese tuner cars as when The Fast and the Furious first hit theaters over a decade ago, illegal street racing is still bubbling under the surface all over the island nation. An excellent new documentary short from Bowls Films takes a look at the Kanjozoku from Osaka, Japan; a group that claims to be partially responsible for the tuning style known as JDM. The group gets their name from their preferred route known as the Kanjo. It's a 4.77-mile long loop of connected highways running right through the city of Osaka. You might expect a hardcore group of illegal Japanese racers to show up with highly tuned Nissan GT-R and Toyota Supra coupes, but the Kanjozoku evidently eschew all of the others in favor of one particular car that they love: the Honda Civic. According to the video, that vehicle of choice came in part from the city's location. Osaka was relatively near the one-make Civic races held at Japan's legendary Suzuka racetrack. The hatchbacks thus became the default weapons for the Kanjozoku's street battles. The guys interviewed for the documentary go so far as to claim that their scene created the whole concept of JDM tuning. The whole video is a really interesting portrait of an illegal racing scene crafted out of friendly competition. Scroll down for a brief look at the Kanjozoku of Osaka – it's worth it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELJW-Bsrnmk
  8. just want to seek opinion...is osaka wet battery reliable? made an equiry last week and they told me its from japan... thanks!
  9. Just returned from Osaka, Japan... I must say it is quite an experience, as this is my first time in Japan. As we only have time for Osaka, we made sure we fully explore the place. We stayed in the luxury Hotel New Otani (company expense) and then moved to a hostel. We went around with their train system initially (old but very efficient) When we moved to the hostel, we rented bicycles and used it as transport; very authentic and convenient. My personal opinion about Japan (Osaka at least) is, Japan is a very well organized country. The city area is basically litter free, we had a hard time finding a dustbin. They have re-cycled bins, and people carry their litter with them. The train system, though old but very efficient, it brings you to every small corner of Osaka (by the way, Japanese don't talk in the train, very quiet). In Singapore, we complain the expensive cost of car ownership. In Japan, most of people uses their train system or bicycle; those that choose to drive will have to bear the expensive cost of parking. I am still very amazed how the automated vertical car park works.. haahaa... Japan has no fat people! I have maybe come across, at the most 3 oversized Japanese at the duration of 8 days. And here comes the part, there are alot of hot looking young girls, dressed in trendy, stylist and even cosplay uniform on the street. The weather can be so damn hot but the girls will still go out in their high cut boots, scrafs wrapped around their neck, long sleeve clothes, ohh not forgetting their makeup. What I am trying to say is, they sure look good. AND the guys will be in their suits and jacket. It is hard to find Japanese wearing shorts and slippers. Okay, I shall speak no more, let me share some pictures... This is their Kuromon fish market in Osaka (much smaller scale compared to the one in Tokyo) Plenty of interesting food in Japan Freshness is key to great food in Japan Fruits and veggies are pretty expensive in Japan Live abalone Dead abalone (1,500 yen a piece but sure is good) Osaka is full of such endless sheltered shopping street One of those street food stalls This is a very famous place for people to take pictures This is a electrical mall in Umeda, 6 floors of gadgets Every floor is like our Comex Show everyday... Only managed to take two floors out of the six as no photography is allowed This street is for comic and cosplay fun, about a kilometre long There is a car park near-by where car enthusiast will meet on weekends Along this Den Den street (IT and electrical goods), there are plenty of such toys store. Wonderland for me No photography as usual... but I just have to as this floor is my favourite floor I once bought some BB guns in Australia for A$100 each, only to realized the same cost only 1,400 yen here!!! Then of course, the Japanese AV shops... There must be more than ten of such shops just along this Den Den town street These pictures below will not justify the many Japanese girls we saw on the street but, still I capture some for your viewing pleasure. It is also not easy to take pictures with a point and shoot camera with only 3x optical zoom. Something we realized, you will only find hot looking YOUNG girls. Hardly any Japanese girls in their mid 30s dressing this way or looking hot on the street. We were told, once they are married, they become a "little house wife"... if you know what I mean... again, this may not be true There are many other pictures, like the train system, Univseral Studio Japan, our hotel/hostel, spa, other food/shopping streets which was not convenient for me to share as we are in the pictures. Those interested, can PM me... haahaa...
